it seemed like the orignal game for xbox people were expecting something close to halo. you dindt get it so you cried.
in ME2 pc gamers were expecting bioware to make a great game that fixed the complaints.
we got a halo/gears game with slight rpg elements.
so yeah pretty much to different groups ****ing about different things. i never complained about the first one i enjoyed it and figured if the fixed some things it would be beter. they axed them instead and went after the larger shooter based console players.
this pissed off alot of long time bioware fans but they made their money by getting the shooter kids to buy it so they are happy.
what do you expect poeple to do?

The combat on the other hand is right on target, good stuff.

In my case, though, I'm just talking about what I didn't like in this game because I've heard they listened to the complaints about the first game. It's impossible to 'fix' everything in one go, so I hope they can balance ME3 by taking both sets of criticisms into account.

I like how nonchalantly you threw some of this crap in your commentary, spouting it off as if all your opinions were actually truth-based facts.

I'm still trying to grasp how some of you morons are having trouble seeing the fact that, if anything, the actual flow and feel of combat is improved from the first game. The original was considered a "tactical shooter" and the second one simply further increases the value of that gameplay on both the "tactical" and "shooter" accounts.

Mass Effect 1 = Pre-EA
Mass Effect 2 = EA Effect
so Im betting that EA made them rush the game out without fully testing it and making sure that at least 75% of their fans would enjoy the sequel
New elevator system = crap (excluding Normandy)
New loot system = crap (they had to find a middle area with less than ME1 but still a loot system)
Insanity is a joke
Biotics = crap (they worked great in ME1, why not just make them not work as well on shielded/armored enemies?)
Resource system = still boring
Credit System = original was better
Imported character customizer is crap because I just wanted to change a small thing and it ended up that I either had to start from scratch or deal with it
so ME2 was a bit of a letdown

Dragon Age has been in production for years and it was in production when Bioware and EA teamed up. It has the EA logo during the beginning of the game. How is the import character crap? it does what it is meant to do carry over the choices you made from the first game. It makes sense that if you want to fix it you should have to make different choices in the first game. It's all about dealing with your choices you made

The elevators! Did they actually listen to the tards that didn't know that was a load screen? The elevators were not so bad compared to these load screens they are giving us.
Uh, yeah the elevators were annoying and terrible.
Load screens now last 10 seconds, elevators lasted much longer.

Loot in the original sucked, they fixed it.
They took out all the loot so you didn't have to worrying about having inventory space for your next mission or sequence.
The shooting is fine, l2aim.
The game is focused on action because we aren't playing Myst.
They did everything people complained about in the first one and made an excellent game as a result. DnD nerds may be upset, but you can always fall back on NWN or one of the 3 terrible expansions for NWN2.

Your right, man. Bioware totally failed to make the game you wanted them make. How dare they.

I know the reasons why they did certain things I was just picking on the complainers a bit. I just remember all the people complaining on the original board when the first game came out and people are complaining about more or less the same things and even though they listened to what people had to say they still complained

i have no problems with the improved combat system. i have a problem with the axe to everything else. Bioware changed target auidience mid series and it shows end of story.

no, Im saying I wanted to edit the character itself, not the choices which made the customizer crap because you couldn't customize the imported character unless you went back to ME1 and created your character that way and then tried to keep all your choices and then go to ME2 (but I am talking about the looks, not choices)
and thats my point wiht DA:O it was in production long before EA got their claws on Bioware

then, like the other guy said, they failed at listening to their true customers and not the ones they wanted that weren't fans originally
