 I think that would be awesome I see the old republic and then it says next gen game or is it a brand new IP they have been hiding from us?

They always say that in their list. It's just PR.

They probably do have some unannounced games in development (which is annoying - I love how early they announced DAO), but that list doesn't really tell you anything.

I don't expect a Jade Empire 2. Jade Empire didn't do especially well (which is a shame - it was a great game).

A Jade Empire sequel would great. Unfortunately Sylvius is right. All I ever hear is how JE sold below expectations... or something. Someone on here once replied to me that a dev wrote JE did well enough and they wouldn't mind working on a sequel, but there isn't any hard evidence of that I'm aware of.

I don't think it was well enough received by players and reviewers to merit a sequel.

Maybe if the fleshed it out a little, gave the ability to buy and sell armor,weapons, etc, opened up new areas like Phoenix City and got some new npcs, it would sell better. It was a great game with a good story, but was just a little too pared down. Also they should take some of the ideas from DA and allow more than one npc at a time as followers, and of course they *have* to reincarnate Zu! : )

If it's Jade Empire 2 believe Obsidian Entertainment will do it and when it's released people will whine about the game breaking glitches and then Obsidian Entertainment will blame the publisher or someone else as always. That's just their reputation.

I would also like a real kotor 3 that isn't an MMO. Oh well it sucks and we probably won't ever get a kotor 3 for the xbox 360

When it first came out I didn't bother with it. But quite liked it when I'd got used to the combat

Baldur's Gate and Dungeons and Dragons aren't BioWare's property though. Mass Effect is BioWare's creation.

The next gen game is Mass Effect 3. They confirmed that they started work on it before ME2 came out.



That said I would buy JE2 or KoToR3 in a heartbeat.

Uhm, no, because this thing was announced way back when ME1 was in development. They wouldn't announce "hey guys, by the way, we're secretly already working on the THIRD GAME in this series" two years ago.

The "Next Gen" game is a collab between Bioware and LucasArts that ISN'T the MMO, which is a seperate project again.

This. It never ceases to amaze me that so many don't realise. BioWare (and probably most game developers) has an entire department working on game ideas, most of which never make it much past the brainstorm stage. They are working on unannounced ("next gen") games, but that "title" in the drop-down is not a reference to any specific game.

That, or it's Gastroenterology Patient Simulator II: The Awakening. For the iPad.

I've found (stumbled on) an article from 2 years back. The last sentence is:

"The studio's unannounced titles include an MMO and a project tied with Lucasarts."

To those saying it's not ME3 because ME3 is not next gen, yeah "Next-Gen means this gen by now, if you haven't noticed. It's a buzz word. Plus, there is no "next-gen" hardware in development in the way you mean, so there couldn't be any software in development either. Xbox 720 and nPS4 are still years off as both companies are aiming for ten year lifecycles this time around.



So, like I said, it's ME3, and there's probably a DA2 coming up as well. These have been the most successful franchises for them so they will continue to expand on that. And the MMO was the LucasArts project. They've stated many times that there is not KoToR 3 in development, one PR dick said people shouldn't care about KoToR3 because TOR was "KoToR 3-9 all in one" seriously, he said that. It upset me at the time.

I would rather have a real Kotor 3 myself since I don't play MMO games. I've tried them out here and there and they are always awfull and boring.
