When traveling from Denerim to the Frostback Mountains, I get into a battle with Darkspawn and the Dalish Elves are helping me. When there are about a couple of darkspawn left, my inventory goes from 49/120 to 10/120. What can I do to get my stuff back?

All but one piece of armor, all potions,. Basically everything except my gifts.

That is not something I've seen reported before.
If possible try going back to an earlier save and see if happens again.
Do you have any mods installed? Sometimes they can cause weird behavior.

I have downloaded the newest patch and a storage chest. The storage chest couldn't open so I forgot about it.
So far I went to a earlier save to try it again and the same thing happened.

The problem has been fixed. Here's how: I made Leliana a Ranger. And it seems she has been summoning 3-4 wolfs at a time. I noticed that when a wolf died, my inventory disappeared. So I just took Summon wolf off her tactics and problem solved.
