I'm not talking as a romance option, I mean as a character. As a character Jack is probably the most "realistic" of the crew members. Her background is extremely well done, as is the voice work, facial modeling (reactions etc), and how she responds to things. She's also one of the few characters to stick to her guns throughout and not have some massive change of heart. You can get her to trust Shepard and relax a bit on the homocidal tendencies, but the way she feels about certain people and Cerberus in general stays true. You can generally predict how she will react to various actions throughout. Anything that promotes individuality for her is good (she doesn't like the idea of the Geth being brainwashed, for example) and hates to see the guilty go free, especially if they wronged her personally...

Then again, she WAS a pirate... but you don't really hear specifics on how she acted as a pirate, only that once she figured out that she would be betrayed, she can be quick to violence.

I think Jack is a really good character. Well I say that but she does the "teenage angst" routine a bit heavy handed.

Good character though.

Jack is awesome once I got her character I brought her along on most of the missions. She ended up being killed by the swarm in the end of the game though it sucked

I love Jack and she in now my main Sheps LI. She is my Fav new character very well done I think.

I think Jack rules. It sucks I couldn't talk to her more after I spurned her sexual/romantic advances though.

Best chacter in the game. The only bad thing abour her are those HUUUUUUUUUUGE lips. They take, like, half her face.

Jack was a great character. I think some of the people who don't like her probably didn't treat her properly. If you talk to her like a human being, you get a much better idea of the girl behind the tattoos.

I liked her character and thought her backstory was interesting. Some people just find her cliched though I suppose. I'm a straight female, so I was not looking for a romance with her, but I did try to be a friend. However, she seemed to think I was making advances towards her near the end - maybe I should have picked some clearly buddy-buddy dialogue if there was any, but I was doing my Paragon thing and probably picked the wrong thing(s) to say at some point (found it vaguely hilarious though, given my Thane/Garrus love triangle onboard - hah).

I loved Jack. Very interesting character and who's pretty believable. I actually know someone like her minus the pirating, killing, and tattoos. I'm sure she probably the most realistic because we all know someone whom she reminds us of. The other characters, sure there are folks who know people like Tali, Miranda, and the rest of the crew. But honestly does everyone out there know folks like them? No, but we all know someone like Jack! Perhaps that is why some folks don't like her, cause she reminds them too much of someone they know.

I havn't seen any Jack hate. I havn't seen any Jack love either. Almost no one is posting about Jack it's all Miranda this and Tali that.

I just think that she's way too much like Viconia from Baldur's Gate.

Also, I don't know why they didn't expand on her uber biotic powers.

I dislike Jack, but that's just about my personal preferences. I have no problems with bald girls, crazy girls nor tattooed girls, but if you combine all those then no deal. And I prefer Miranda over them all anyway.

Jack hate? What Jack hate? There was a lot of it before the game came out, but it simmered down after.

Tali is my number 1 favorite character (Legion in a close second) but I liked Jack. She had the whole "I'm a hurt little girl inside with a tough **** exterior waiting to be saved" archetype but if you never romance her she never comes out like that.

She was a ****, she did what was asked of her, and she added a bit of flavor to the characters. Hell, she was my mobile bubble at the end.

The only character I really didn't like in this game was Miranda. She was way too cliche and straight up boring.

As a character I think she's really well made even though a bit cliche. As a person I would never want to speak to her though.

In generally I think, all new characters are great. But Jack is for me the best I've seen since Morrigan (well, that's not really a long time ago  ).

I started up expecting to hate her from the teaser info, but she ended up being in my top 3 favorite squad-mates. She was IMO one of the most fleshed out and believable characters in either game and while I didn't bring her with me as a squad mate very often on my last play through I think I will be on my next. As a love intrest... probably not, but as a character she was very compelling IMO.

I had no problem siding with her over Miranda in that little cat-fight even as a paragon.

I don't have Jack hate, but I would probably have a lot more Jack love if I hadn't basically dated her in college. OK, maybe not her exactly, but damn close. Too damn close.
