Quite honestly (although I try to stop myself) I make value judgments about people who have pierced anything beyond their earlobes and (I know this isn't fair) even a small tattoo. I think both demonstrate very poor judgment.. this is perhaps because I've had ample opportunity to see how poorly "body art" holds up to aging. An older person so adorned is almost comically horrific... dignity goes right out the window.
In real life an attractive woman can go from a "9" to a "4" just by revealing that she has "ink."
Flame away if you wish.. this is nothing more than my personal aesthetic preference, and my honest answer to the question posed in the OP.
Although actually I really LIKE the character Jack represents.. she is just repulsive to look at (in my opinion).

To me, Jack had the best back story out of the new characters. Along with the most touching loyalty quest in the entire game. It was actually heartwarming breaking down that hard exterior of her's, reveling her hurt, vulnerable side.
And I have a thing for Tattooed chicks:whistle:

As a character I think she's really well made even though a bit cliche. As a person I would never want to speak to her though.
I don't really get the cliche'd thing... of the characters I think she's probably the least cliche'd. The cliche version of the character wouldn't be quite as complex... on the surface she's angry and distrustful (with damned good reason, however) but the inner workings seem a bit more complex. The cliche'd version of the character would have the romance option for her to be dangerous and aggressive... which actually makes her just use you and throw you away. Tali is more of the "innocent nerd" cliche (for a cliche'd character) than anything else...
As for her lips... Yeah, that put me off a bit too, though it may just be because she has a shaved head that
certain facial features seem more prominent. Now... Miranda, THEMS are huge lips.

I think a lot of the jack hate (as little of it as there is) are from people that never actually talked to her, and just think she's an angry psycho ****.

She is still my least favorite crew member this time around.

She is just annoying. When I first saw her I wanted to kill her asap (she called me a puss) ....
I loved that part. Someone who finally said to a Paragon what all those who honestly prefer the Renegade choices have been thinking since the first stomach-churning blue text option from ME1.

Heh. Her Loyalty quest was a priority just for this reason.

Don't hate her.. but I find tattoos and piercings to be just as revolting in the game as they are in real life.

Knowing some rather old people (70's 80's) who actually have extensive tattoing (older gentleman and his wife) I disagree with the aging thing... When you're old and saggy, you're old and saggy. If you've kept in shape however, your tattoes, especially if they were well done to begin with (a lot of older people just have ****ty tattoes) they add a sort of character. I work at starbucks and a regular customer in his 80's has work over his entire upper body which I've seen a good chunk of and I think it's really interesting. As far as women I've met a few in their 50's who have both extensive tattoing and piercing and they look good for their age, as they've taken good care of both...
As a personal preference for attraction I wholly understand, as attraction can be fickle. As a way to judge a persons worth however, I think that is an incredibly shallow judgement, having known both very professional and well educated people with body art (I myself do not have any as I don't have much I want to get carved into my flesh) who are not only responsible in their professional life but are responsible wives, husbands, mothers, and fathers. As far as younger people most I know are well adjusted, and are just as likely to be good/bad people as those who do not. *shrug*

Edit, as a pet peeve I did not like any characters who don't wear proper space suits on missions in space (collector ship).

Also her Warp Ammo power is the most useful loyalty power. Have her upgrade to squad warp ammo and you can tear through pretty much everything in the game.

Hid-nas-steez, as for realism, that award would go to Tali and Mordin imo, which is sort of ironic.

Tali is hardly what I would call "realistic"
Mordin too, but he's too awesome for me to care.

Jack would sit up with you and watch you play video games all night. Jack would help you take out a spawncamping jerk in a shooter, and help you organize a massive raid, and give you awesome sex when it is all over. Jack secretly wants to collect Hello Kitty things. J, and will stay up with you to watch an MST3K marathon and get every single joke.
Yes, I, too, "dated" Jack in college. Apparently, I'm not over it
