I took a break off Mass Effect 2. So I can experience it slow and fun.

65 hours in 8 days...finally beat it. Yes I played more than most people work, yes I'm pathetic, no I don't care. I wanted to cry...probably would have if Seth Green wasn't so damn funny. Can't wait to play this 5 or more times (at least one for every class, not to mention pursuing new romances).

Hehe, I enjoyed the twist there - and I do agree. I got sucked in pretty quickly, and then I was doing the whole "I'll just stay up one more hour to play, and THEN I'll sleep" thing.

Yeah, I hadn't even realized how much time I've spent until the other day when I loaded save game and noticed the total hours spent. I was like....whoa...seriously? LOL

A big reason why I rarely watch TV is games like this.

I see. So some one who did not enjoy ME 2 is a "dumb noob". Does that mean that people who enjoyed ME 2 are all insipid fanboys?

no of course not but "usually" a post with the title "Mass Effect 2 sucks" usually it means a dumb noob who played 10 minutes into the game and decided it was dump :D

Nope. I have a "no take-backsies" rule about the games we release. We take no responsibility for any lost income, failed exams, unfinished homework, or lack of sunlight you experience. So go and study beofre it's too late!

You do realize that there's no need for you to behave like this, don't you? No one was launching a personal attack at you, and I think the point was that there have been about a million threads with ranting/whining that lacked actual constructive criticism. I could be reading a little too much into that, but then, so are you, in deciding that it merits being so grossly offended by someone's offhand remark.

basically ya, there are just so many threads complaining about games, there are constructive ways to make suggestions or to rant about a game but saying "such and such game sucks" is in no way constructive,
but off topic anyways lol this thread was awesome well done :P

Umm... I was just making a point that it is not nice to over generalize as it cuts both ways. Most of the threads I have read pointing out the faults of the game have been well written. If anything those "insipid fanboys" have a very bad habit of blowing the criticism out of all proportion, like ranting and raving about there are being millions of threads about people ranting/whining. In doing so, they try hard to derail such threads as they seem to mistake that constructive criticism as a personal attack. Hmm...much like you are doing here.

I remember how pessimistic I was about ME2, what with all the negative feedback and spoiler bombs on the forum. I was most pleasantly surprised to find that I was wrong.
