Reread what I wrote, I never said they did. But what I did say, was I won't think those places (qaurian colonies and home world) were they won't need their suits would be a place you'd find a warlord krogan. Out side their colonies, places where they would intract with krogan warriors, they would likely be wearing suits.enormousmoonboots wrote...
Warmachine--No, they didn't need envirosuits on their colonies. She said there was a short adjustment period where they got a bit sick, but once their immune systems got used to it they were fine.
What the Quarians look like underneath those suits... (Contains busted science)

You wanted proof there is ((Udina quote!)).
Well I didn't know about that book quote, I haven't read it.
Doesn't disprove Predator dreadlocks though
But it doesn't disprove normal hair ether as I said Quirians have as many human trait as they do aliens.
Only thing Alien on a Quirians head is there ear and to quote "cheek was cut from the lip to 'the Quarian equivalent of an ear"((loosely quote)). Thou that doesn't mean anything that can go from fin like ears to hole in the thread.
So as I stand them having hair is a very large possibility.

No, it doesn't increase the odds. Whoever decides that Quarians look awesome with human faces might decide they also look good with fleshy dreadlocks, proto-featers, bone-growths, colourful frills, **** knows. There is nothing stopping Bioware from giving them a mixture of human and alien features, it all up to what they decide looks cool at the time.VettoRyouzou wrote...

And so you say so your right? I mean this is what I hate about your logic it the " what I say is right", Ya there a chance of it but at the same time there is just as much as a chance they may look human maybe the writes wanted us to think of Quirians as the most alien the most foreign the most different only to learn they are the most like us out of all the races in ME.
But to sum it up I have more lore fact to back up my point to quote you "Bring proof". Also Legs and arms mean nothing nether do fingers ((Look up the 3 toed sloth)). It just means there digigrade mammals ((Which we have allot of funny enough!)).

Dude, I am not saying that they won't have humanoid features under there, in fact I'm hoping for space elves, merely that your argument that they would such features based on some similarities to earth mammals was bunk. Bioware can stick whatever they want under there, there's nothing stopping them.

Funny enough I'm against the space elves I want a human face with a light brush of alien if you call it, glowing eye maybe fin like ears etc etc, But the thing is so many people have pushed that they need to look monsters under that helm and I'm sorry.. but really how many races in ME have been just "Wtf" ugly? Vorcha maybe not really they were kind of cool looking. Maybe the husks but well there deformed humans any way So why do quirians have to fill a nitch that not needed?

hmmmm......to quote from teh wiki,
Quarians have an endoskeleton, lips, teeth, and two eyes with eyelids and tear-ducts. (Ascension
p. 235) Females have mammary glands. Quarians may have evolved along
similar lines as Earth's higher primates, much as Australia's koalas
developed like Africa's leaf-eating prosimians: a phenomenon called
convergent evolution.
sounds ~earth mammal to me perhaps i'm off but i doubt looks pretty clear....
in regards to 'hard' skin
Like turians, the quarians are a dextro-protein species[....]
Turian
Biologoy
Palaven, has a metal-poor core, generating a weak magnetic field and
allowing more solar radiation into the atmosphere. To deal with this,
most forms of life on Palaven evolved some form of metallic
'exoskeleton' to protect themselves. Their reflective plate-like skin
makes turians less susceptible to long-term, low-level radiation
exposure, but they do not possess any sort of 'natural armor'. A
turian's thick skin does not stop projectiles and directed energy bolts.
and so we have somewhat of a reference to that all prevelant 'Okeer by proxy quote'

It says similar to earth mammals, not that they are necessairily completely the same as earth mammals, (which we know they're not, as they're based on a completely different internal chemistry). There is no reason beyond the artistic desires of the characters designers that they will be limited by what we or other mammals have. At least, if Quarians have hair, they could explain that it's not made of keratin but rather chitin or something.darth_lopez wrote...

And it's already happened in the universe once. Those statistics alone pretty much 100% guarentee, it's also happened some where else.
Nobody knows exactly how old the universe is, but if it indeed got created by Big Bang ,its no more than 13-15 Billion years.

Skin color in different species thats not human is genetic. Not because of sun light. They only been in suits for 300 years. Their genetic skin color wouldn't change because they haven't been in sunlight for 300 years.
That takes millions of years for such a change to happen. If not ever. Your genes determin your skin color not how much sunlight you get. If I was black, and I was in a suit for 300 years I wouldn't turn white. Because its genetic, you can get darker by being exposed to sunlight but you don't get lighter then your genetics say when you where born. You'll have the same skin color what you were born with.

The hair seems to be let out in a way even tho its contained in a suit it doesn't seem to be a fully hard helmet thats containing it. it seems to be a fabric thats keeping it contained so it is able to grow without messing with their looks. Or else they would have to shave their heads. Witch would be silly and ugly for a male who would see them.Kolaris8472 wrote...
How would the hood do anything to hide hair that's already contained in a suit? It just seems like a cultural thing to me.
They are very shy of people seeing their faces, or what they look like. Tali admits she has never showed her face to anybody. Meaning its prob a very cultural thing to maintain a very attractive appearance for a male even tho they are in a suit. And males don't have the hood things because they never have long hair. Explain why only females wear the hoods. Only logical thing would make sense is they hide their hair. If they had no hair to hide they wouldn't be wearing the hoods. Or if they have tentical hair they could hide it in a similar way to how the males have those bunches of cables comming out of their helments. There maybe tons of cables behind their hood kind of like predator hair. Is what the males seem to have. Its not connected to anything. Females don't have those vsable.

Only problem they arn't human. And they don't have human skin. Their skin is purple as every quarian has a purple shade through their visors even when they are not purple. So their skin would turn light purple. We don't even know if they have Melanin. They don't have the same ameno-acids we do. Your basing your oppinion off human biology. When they aren't human, similar to humans doesn't make them the same. Their genetic structure and our understanding of their biology wouldn't exist. We cant say for sure only by visually what we can tell.i love lamp x3 wrote...
to those who argue that tali wouldn't be pale... 300 years worth of generations without exposure to uv light=no need for melanin=pale. this would happen the same way humans turned white like me... when my ancestors migrated north, sunlight wasn't as abundant and so melanin was produced less and less over generations so we could maximize nutrients from the sun. thus, white.
that's assuming tali would tan with exposure to the sun. but if not, then there's no known science we can discuss.
You can't be whiter then the skin you were born with. I haven't been in much sunlight in like a year and I'm not pale. I hardly ever go outside during the day. I'm eather playing games or working on a computer at night because I'm just a night person. The last time I was outside in the day was like months ago. lol

Agreed. I'd rather her have black hair and look like that night elf ver of her somebody
made. Or not even know what she looks like at all. But she must be pretty hot as shepard make a smirk to seeing her face. Thats good enough for me to say how good quarians look. And I don't think bioware is going to make a quarian look ugly when every other female alien we seen in mass effect has been pretty hot.
They arn't going to disappoint their fans. I'd rather have her have a pred face then look human seriously if she looks like that in the 3D model I really like pred females even if they have the face, I love their lizard skin and reptiles. I want to see a female krogan and female turrian. I really like non humans. Only body wise the humanoid thing is good.
But unique in the face and head like asari is good for me. I'd even like to see a krogan and turrian female, they are alot smaller then the males. Thankfuly nobody knows what quarians faces look like. Prob not even bioware. Not sure if they even though Tali would be so lovable. Thats why they don't show what she looks like. You just have to use your imaginations. She can look however you want her to look. Thats how I think it should stay or she wouldn't be a mystery.
Thats why she is so lovable because of her personality nobodys going to care what she looks like at this point anyways. Even me. I'm just saying it would be nice for her to look hot, shes got the body for it thats for sure.
