Hey all,

On the Jarrahe station mission I get a crash to desktop at the point in the Research Lab where you've to re-arrange the reflective armor plates to direct the beam to, I assume, restore full power to the station.

It always happens at the same point - just as I complete the correct alignment, screen turns black and the game locks up, which leads me to believe it might be a problem with playing a video?

As all my last saves (including two tedious hours of mining) are all at various points of Jarrahe station, I'm in trouble!

Is there a way to try to copy the correct movie file again, or stop the game from playing movies, just to get past that scene? I've seen the suggestion to use: -nomoviestartup but I can't get it to work - the only shortcut or exe I can find is the launcher, and I don't seem to be able to add -nomoviestartup.

Failing that, is there any way at all for me to get out of this mission without completing it?

Haven't had any other crashes or problems with the game, and system is up to spec.

D'oh I'm an idiot, topic has been discussed several times before!! Apologies all, will look through previous posts and see if I can get it to work.


Edit: Solution that worked for me was turn down resolution to 800 X 600, no crash when I complete the beam, and then turn it back up.
