I couldn't find a search option, so apologies if this has been discussed already.
When I did the Geth missions before you unlock the Omega Relay I was ready to go to an N7 mission. Since that, I have two missions (one being the one I was going to, another a different one) where I reach a planet that tells me I have a mission there, but I'm unable to find it while scanning the planet. The locator doesn't show up and even after scanning the whole planet I can't find the landing spot to do the mission.
This is really frustrating as I want to do everything possible before the suicide mission so I have the best chance of bringing everyone back alive. That, and I want to complete everything I can before I start a second playthrough with a new character.
ALSO I don't want to miss out on these missions, as I think one is a story arc from previous missions.
If there has been an update and I just need to log into LIVE to fix this, then cool. If not I hope there is a fix for this or one coming soon! I'm on 360, btw. Thanks!

Instead of scanning the planet just enter the orbit of the planet where the annomly is detected and while on this discription page for the planet once you have entered orbit - press a. I found that because sometimes i had launched probes to mine on the planet when i wasn't following the marker, the locater disappeared so i had to exit to the planet description screen and realized i could land straight away on the planet from that screen.

Thanks, I'll try that out. It doesn't sound like that would work for me in my situation, but thanks in advance if it does work.
I won't have an opportunity to try this until tomorrow, so just incase if anyone has any other suggestions please I'd like your input. Thanks again!

Just wanted to say thanks again for the help. It worked, of course, and I kind of feel like an idiot for not even noticing the option to just land. So, thanks!
