Into the Bad Girl: Jack Fans

Garrus: A- (glad the hole-y armor is gone, but something about the color seems off)
Thane: B+ (better than the other two, for me, but still not perfect)
Jack: C- (if the shades were gone I would give it somewhere between a B and an A-, but the shades kind of ruin it)

If they went the Sexy Librarian route with Miranda, I'd actually like her less. The Sexy Librarian is a beautiful, sacrosanct thing. Don't apply it to Miranda.
Much as we don't really like Miri, the saucy smart girl is something all women should have access to. Put your hair up, your glasses on, and just watch everyone sweat. Hell, I go for it! It might even convince me to listen to what she says outside of Bobby's Jack&Miri behind closed doors sketch. Besides, once you give a girl with glasses a gun it becomes The deCobray Effect - little different to Sexy Librarian Mode
Miranda with some horn-rimmed/librarian style glasses... yeah, I'll admit the thought is pleasing. But I don't think they could pull of the whole "Baroness" thing since they've already given her one black outfit. They've have to come up with something else.

Well, we guessed it, we hoped against hope that it wouldn't be, and I'm sure even a few of us already know... that new outfit just doesn't quite work with the romance scene.
Jack: F**k you Shepard! Stop breathing in my direction, you're dimming my motherf*****g visor!
Alternate:
Jack: F**k, if I had known that I was going to cry, I'd have installed f*****g wiper on my glasses!

The deCobray Effect only comes into play if Shepard sleeps with the nanny... Wait, what?
I'm sorry, but I don't want Miranda lumped in with Tina Fey. I worship Tina Fey. Miranda, not so much. Please, BioWare, don't ruin 30 Rock for me.
Oh, and by the by, I came across a poll in another one of the threads, that I thought might raise a discussion.

Numbers 3, 6, and 8... but not necessarily in that order. And I saw that thread you're talking about, and I think your comment in there about having a "blow crap up" option hold water. That could, however, be included under the "activitied with your love interest" option.

I think glasses on Miranda would look cool, and well sexy as hell, but thats just me.
As for the poll, I think one of the things DAO did well was the romance, the rest of the party recognized your relationship, you could kiss anytime, have sex everytime you went back to camp, and you could discuss your relationship. (I can't remember if the words "I love you" were ever spoken, but to add that would be nice as well).

I agree with your choices but I'd add 5 as well. I'd LOVE to see other people's reaction to you choosing Jack over Miranda or Tali.
Heck we've had been talking about ME3 and Ashley/Liara's reaction to you being with Jack for a few pages.

I agree with what you said. I've romanced only Zevran so far and I can tell that he never says the magic 3 words, he'd rather hang himself with his own intestines than saying that <_< but I think others such as Alistar or Leliana do say that.

Indeed - I guess there's some level of party acknowledgment in ME2, but it's mostly limited to the "I won't share, you have to choose between me and him/her"-type ultimatums. Much better done in DA though - little things like Morrigan casually asking me how good Leliana was in bed were pretty nice touches and really added to the completeness of the romance.

Those are the most dangerous three words in the English language. In the wrong hands, they can level an army. In the right hands, they can build a bridge. I think Jack has the right hands.
And yeah, more physical intimacy would be cool, too. I'm not dead, y'know.

As for the other options... I wonder how some of them would fit in the game. They should just stick with the dialogue if you ask me. It could be integrated nicely with calling your LI to your cabin. Would make the snuggling a little less boring, too.

Keeping up with my quota of mentioning BG2 at least once every three days, my favorite instance of that has to be the end of Jaheira's romance in ToB. I can't help but wonder if even Shepard ascending to godhood would be enough to pry those words out of Jack.
Oh, that's right. According to Ashley, Shepard is already a god.

I think for Jack those three little words, would be the ultimate climax for the relationship. I imagine Shepard working all game to hear her true feelings for him, and it would be at the end of the game, after the epic battle, that we would actually hear those words.

i actually voted for 4, but after thinking about it for awhile i wondered if perhaps jack wouldn't believe those words. It seemed like something she might have heard from some smuck in the past to get her to do something for them.
That and I started thinking of the voice actor saying it and just shuddered at the idea of him delivering that line.

Voted on that earlier on today... while I was illusive with my comment (ho ho) I went for the three little words. I love hearing them... just makes everything right with the world. To hear Jack say them though... wow... that would be something huge for her; just throwing the doors wide open and risking letting the pain in. For Jack to say them would be astronomical. Shepard would have to realize what he was in for if she said it, because to her that would be it; she'd walk into Hell for him, she'd die for him, and if he said "Sorry, I prefer the bipolar Asari-archeologist-come-blackmail-amateur," it'd probably be the last thing he'd ever say. Or it'd be the last thing she ever heard. Rebuffing that would destroy her.
I think what I'd really like is some banter between her and Shepard though, something that crackles with humour and just a touch of cuteness; I see them being the kind of couple that would make inappropriate jokes to one another in firefights or in response to orders and situations. Sweet, but always a little vulgar or off-key.

Not to derail this serious discussion, but I just got around to looking at the detailed description of the alternate appearance pack, and I have to ask: How DOES one start a riot with steel-toe boots?
"Hey, who kicked me? That really hurt! I'm just gonna have to start a riot now!"
Steel toecaps and clothes that can stand a bit of scraping are an essential for riot-chic. Well, those and petrol bombs and a bandana around the mouth in case the cops break out the teargas. If they bring watercannons though, just go home... they take all the fun out of it

I think Leliana might have said it... it would explain why I'm still bitter about lying to her
Those things were the stuff DA:O got super-right with relationship interaction. Hopefully ME3 can do it too.

It's in the official blurb for the pack on XBox Live and other places. Here's the full thing:
Jack straps on a black biker vest, low-slung jeans, and steel-toe boots made for starting riots. Garrus suits up in new military-grade, blue-lit armor equipped with a dual-input communication headset. Thane slips into blood-red reflective shades and a new uniform for blending into the urban shadows. There are no refunds for this item. For more information, see www.xbox.com/live/accounts.
