Hmm for powers to add to her, it could be cool if she had a power that pulled an enemy to her fast (charge-speed), and she biotic punches them away when they reach her. Knocks them back into shotgun range for her so maybe she could actually get some use out of it.

Sort of like a reverse-charge, bringing the enemy to her instead. That way she isn't in the middle of the fray where she'd get torn apart, and she still gets to punch people.

Reverse-charge, eh? I could get behind that.

As long as it isn't warp ammo, not hating on it...just an "all powerful biotic" should have an arsenal of abilities at her disposal, but I guess you could blame that on the broad reduction of squad powers from 1 to 2. In fact just do something different with ammo powers, poor Thane and his shredder ammo, never put any points into it. :|

At some point does she yell "Get over here!"?

When she uses pull, I think.

Actually to continue about ammo powers, I'd be content with just disruptor, cryo and incendiary being the only ammo powers. Each has unique effects and gain some as more points are put in, with the exception of cryo which just causes the freeze to last longer. I usually like Incendiary over AP ammo, since it sorta does the work of AP but also has the added benefit of making organics panic.

AP, and shredder ammo in that regard to me are "boring" ammo powers. Same with warp ammo to an extent, have to check again but I think it's dmg doubles on targets effected by biotics like pull and etc.

That's a damn good idea. A super pull followed up by a super biotic falcon punch.

Would be kinda cool.

So I was listening to some of Jack's sound files that someone posted earlier. When you make her the first fire team leader she will always fail, and if you don't romance her she says, "Too many.. tore me up... how did you talk into this?... I wasn't supposed to care..." This line shows that she does actually care about the mission and helping to stop the collectors. Like she wants to do something good for a change. I just thought it was interesting because a lot of people say she doesn't care about the mission which is why they think she won't be in ME3. But it turns out she actually does care. I always thought she cared about the mission but it was never really clear until I heard that sound file.

Say it ain't so, man.  My number one wish for ME3 (Besides bringing Jack back, obliterating planet scanning and doing away with exploration altogether, as both the Mako and the Hammerhead suck) is that they bring back Polonium rounds.  Prevents regeneration, whittles 'em down quick and turns 'em into a green skidmark when they're done.

But going back to powers, the way I'd do it (in a way that integrates character interaction) is getting your squadmates to trust each other and work together (as I'd imagine loyalty to Shepard is no longer an issue).  Get their trust rating high enough and they could use a special power in unison.  So say... Tali and Jack have some stuff they need to work through?  Mediate with 'em and in combat they could use... say... combat drones that erupt in a biotic shockwave when they die.

Of course this is just me and my goofiness.  Feel free to ignore this post.  I won't mind.

royclemens -

That's actually not a bad idea - I think that a way to apply that more generally would be to have certain powers/bonuses that get unlocked based on the combination of squadmates you pick. Something similar to Marvel Ultimate Alliance, where you'd access certain things by picking specific character combinations (like all four of the Fantastic Four, etc.)

Probably result in too many possible combinations of powers. That is, if each pairing were to have something unique.

Not a bad idea I suppose, if they took characters that had some sort of relationship, i.e., Jack-Miranda, Legion-Tali. Although, outside of those, I don't think any characters even acknowledge each others' presence?

Haha, bioware can't win in the vehicle department it seems.  I'm all for more gibbing, but incendiary already prevents regen. ;)

I dunno why but your idea reminded me somewhat of LotRO's fellowship attacks, one of the things I thought was neat about that game.  lorebook.lotro.com/wiki/Mechanics:Fellowship_Maneuvers

Oh, you don't want to make squadmates trust each other too much... heaven knows what could happen, how it might damage the fragile stability of Shepard's universe... ;)

On board the Normandy - Engineering deck.

The Normandy is still docked in Ilium for repairs. Shepard comes up from below decks, looking a little confused. He enters main engineering and finds Ken and Gabby in their usual places.

Shep: Say, have either of you two seen Jack?

Ken: (morose) I try not tae see her, Commander.

Gabby: Yeah, because last time you 'saw' her she nearly put you in traction!

Shep: I just wanted to see if she wanted to catch a little dinner and see a show tonight... Expel 10 are playing and...

Ken: And ye were hoping to get a little 'alone-time' with the lunatic? I cannae understand why ye'd want tae...

Gabby: She has really pretty eyes... if you look above the neck.

Gabby slaps Ken around the shoulder playfully. Shepard looks over to Tali's station - she isn't at her post.

Shep: Tali not here either?

Gabby: Nah, she headed into the trade district to pick up some K&H thermocoupling manifolds. We had a minor burnout last night.

Shepard sighs.

Shep: Jack's AWOL, Tali's working, Miranda's out getting essential supplies. Again. Looks like I'll have to ask Kelly if she wants to come... may as well invite my goldfish for all the "intelligent conversation" I'll get... oh well. That'll be all. See you later, Gabby. Ken.

Shepard leave engineering disappointed and heads for the elevator.

Meanwhile, in the Anderson Suite of the Hilton Interstellar, Ilium...

The suite, all guilt and marble floors, is in a fairly advanced state of disarray; a couple of empty champagne bottles are lying on the floor... an overturned icebucket has left a huge wet circle in an expensive rug. A champagne flute leans precariously against one of Miranda's boots. Jack's harness and a Carnifex pistol have been tossed across the room, obviously coming to rest below a cracked full-length mirror that stopped their flight. Jack's boots sit unceremoniously on top of an expensive-looking glass-topped occasional table. Miranda's suit is trying to cling onto the side of the huge suite bed, but looks doomed to lose its battle against gravity. In the bed, naked save a tangle of smooth white silk sheets, lie Jack and Miranda. Miranda is smoking a cigarette while Jack nurses a half-empty bottle of gin. Both have dreamy, faraway looks on their faces.

Jack: God... I wanna say I've not been ****ed like that since grade school... never went to school, though.

Miranda: (blowing out a trio of smoke rings) The feeling's mutual... I ever knew it could be like that...

Jack: (taking a pull from the bottle) Well I'm gonna sleep well tonight, that's for sure.

Miranda: Oh, who says sleep is going to be on anyone's minds tonight...

They both grin at one another. Jack offers Miranda the bottle, she shakes her head.

Miranda: Oh, no... can't stand gin.

Jack: I could shoot the lock off the minibar?

The bathroom door hisses open and Tali steps out, wearing nothing but a towel and her Omni-Tool.

Jack & Miranda: (embarassingly coy) Hiiiiiii!

Tali: So, do you two need anything from room service... I suppose you've earned a treat for being such good... company. All I had to do was mention Shepard when we checked in and they gve us a tab. Anything in particular on your mind?

Miranda: Oh, I could really go for a platter of oysters and some more champagne about now...

Jack: I think I want a cheerleader's outfit - no! Two C-Sec officer's uniforms! I think we got one of those light-fingered Quarians on our hands...

Miranda: I think we'd better search her for stolen credit chits...

Tali: (winking at the audience) Who says that bosh'tet Shepard should have all the fun, yes?

Aaaaand I think I just alienated all the female character fanbases in one go! My work here is done! :D

Damn, Mondo, you spoiled my next audio comp! :P

(Actually, no, I lie.  I'm working on getting together my next, very ambitious one, and if it comes together the way I think it is... I think the Tali fans are really gonna hate me.  :D)

I wouldn't go that far, as that post still required a degree of thoughtfulness.

There still hasn't been a post inquiring as to what everyone else had for breakfast, followed by a slew of responses.

Until then...

Jack was one of my favorite characters, hope she sticks around. Would like to have seen more dialogue with a female Shephard and was disappointed at being forced to include warp ammo rather than completly develop her other two powers
