Haha, I usually bring Jack and Grunt with me, and I've always wondered what they would do if I let them wander around on their own while I went off and did stuff. I could so see them doing something like that. Doin crazy **** and not even being phased by how disorderly they're being .

Anyway. I just finished watching the movie "Pretty Woman". It made me think of Jack so much. The way Julia Roberts' character, Vivian, clashes with the luxrious and formal atmosphere. There were so many scenes where I pictured Jack acting the same way as Vivian. I laughed so loud after the opera scene where Vivian tells the old rich lady, "That was great, I almost pee'd my pants." It was so funny seeing her amongst all these rich formal people, and she's so informal and all the rich people are like "wtf?" Great movie.

Has there been any in-depth analysis of Jack's tattoos? The only one that I can make clear sense of is the Omega on her back. Some look medical, as if they were from the Pragia facility, but that's all I can tell. Anyone know what the diamond on her front is for?

I love the ****. She does remind me of tank girl a bit though, as I know some people have mentioned. Although I find her to be emotionally fragile.

she's closer to the character of Jack on "Pitch Black" and Chronicles of Riddick than Tank Girl.  At least that's my take on it.

Earlier in this thread, I was told that some of her tattoos are little easter eggs left behind by her character model designer.  They show the various concept stages her character went in through in designing her.

Ya on her left arm it appears that she has tattoos of the heads of some Jack concept art where she has hair.

Like I know shes got about 3-5 tattoos of her own face up her arm (she even has hair in one of them)

We think they're medical related. Like a map of where implants are located or surgery was done on her arms.

My favorite is still the tear drops on her back. I've said before, my theory is that was back when she could keep count of the people she killed, before saying, "Ah, screw it."

Interesting, looking at my tattoo rips, several of the teardrops have a scar going through them. Goes with my theory that not all the scars are from the facility, although it's strange that all of them would look the same.

I was always under the impression that the cleaner scars (back, abdomen) were surgical while the rougher ones (neck, head and the two on her mouth) were attained during the business of Jack being Jack.

Looking at Booby's texture rips, there are 8, that I can make out, and an extra part that looks like another eye. That arm, along with the Omega sign are still my favourites. They just fit her so well from my perspective.

I had not noticed those tear drops before though. Interesting. I wonder if them beeing on her back has any significance, or if I'm just being over-analytical.

Tali fan here, just coming in to support one of my more favorite characters.

It just shows that Jack fans compared to whoever else fans are of a different class. We don't look at whats only presented on the outside but we like to delve deep into characters and look to what makes them tick.

Jack is BioWare's type of character. She is that character that the player needs to chip away at to fully understand. And it shows that either players don't care about engaging with characters who they don't deem attractive or they simply don't know what makes a good character.

Oh, come on now, don't get all elitist.

The fact that Jack is your favorite character doesn't make you deeper than anyone else, it simply means you have different tastes.  Many (probably most) of Bioware's characters are multi-layered affairs, even the ones you don't like.  Honestly, getting a read on Jack isn't that difficult from the very start.  The specifics are waiting to be uncovered, certainly, but people who put up tough-guy shields like she does are usually hiding from a  damaged childhood.  Don't get me wrong, I love Jack as a character, but she isn't a surprise, nor does she require much "chipping away at" to understand.  And insinuating that people who like other characters are either shallow or don't know what makes a good character?  That's just rude.

I'm primarily a fan of Tali, but that doesn't mean I don't appreciate Jack as a character.  Jack is my 2nd favorite; I find it rewarding to crack her shell, and
her romance is surprisingly sweet and very emotional.  I myself don't
find the shaved head OR the ink attractive in the least, but she is
beautiful despite them and it is a part of her character.  Removing them
would be ridiculous.  As much as I like her, though, I identify more with Tali, and she has a personality that I find more endearing.  And you know what?  Sometimes people might not like Jack's personality at all and STILL appreciate her as a character.

Stick to discussing Jack's many merits, not why you think you're better than other people because you like Jack and because you're so non-mainstream.
