I was once on holiday in America (ok, officially the US of A) an Canada. Seriously, the beer on your continent is horrible. Do yourself a favor and start drinking Dutch, or German beer. Preferably Grolsch ^^

If you want something from the Continent, drink Hoegaarden. Most smooth, elegant, refreshing beer you'll ever have. Plus the enormous glasses make sensational improvised weapons - they're practically indistructable and weigh about a pound! Or Chimay. There are no words for Chimay other than... okay, imagine kissing the most beautiful movie star you can think of, and then he/she unexpectedly slips their hand into your underwear. That's Chimay

meh, Im not a real fan of hoegaarden. Hertog Jan is similar but better.
I have to stick with Grolsch. Their factory is in the same town as where I study:happy:

Let's face it, Hoegaarden is lemonade, and more fitting for sissies relaxing on a terrace! Grolsch is quite nice, but honestly, the most impressive feature is the swing-top bottle.

-edit. Since this post was wildly off-topic...as much as I like the 'Jack' character, unfortunately, she strikes me as a Coors Light drinker.

Alcohol is never off topic! ;)

I see Jack as more of a spirits neat girl - right out of the bottle; feet on the table, nursing a bottle of Jack between her legs, and once it's empty she starts on the next bottle behind the bar - who gives a **** what it is. Ice, glasses and mixers are for, well, Miranda :D

I was trying to keep it as "on-topic" as possible, what with the beer theme and all!

However, Jack...drinking Jack...is a surpringly good fit. Good call.

Since the precedent has been set!

Miranda - vodka tonic, white russian...the obvious martini?
Jacob - all too easily a budweiser drinker
Jack - jack daniels, tequila (some offbrand type)
Garrus - jagermeister
Mordin - glenfiddich
Grunt - something distilled in someone's back garden
Zaeed - guinness or chivas
Samara - water or nothing
Tali - shirley temple, definitely
Legion - nothing coming to me on this one...
Thane - bombay sapphire

Tali is clearly to young to be drinking alcohol ;)

EDIT: and Legion doesnt drink. High concentrations of alcohol combined with electrical sparks does not compute:huh:

I think Grunt and Zaeed would both go for the destructo-moonshine... I can't see either of them being that picky as long as it burns like hell and gets you hammered. I somehow see Tali being one of those girls that has three Cosmos and is suddenly game for anything, if Shepard suggested it at least. And for some reason, I see Garrus drinking daquiris... perhaps in the hope someone tries mocking him for it so he can introduce their face to the bar.

Tequila... I used to know some absolute maniacs that had their own version of the salt, lime, glass routine; they'd nail the shot first, snort the salt off the bar, then cram the lime into their eyes. The astounding thing was I saw them do it more than once. Somehow I see Jack drinking my old favorite from back in the day - Black Death Tequila. Cheap and horrible, but it does the job and has a skull on the bottle ^_^

Not if you're Bender.

Grunt would drink something out of a ceramic jug with three Xs on the side like in a Speedy Gonzalez cartoon.

Jack strikes me as an Old Crow girl, myself.  Anything to get the job done fast.

EDIT: solved.

But we are forgetting Garrus is blabla DNA. our alcohol kills him faster than it kills us:devil:

Lol, that may be the funniest thing I've read on these forums thus far.

I would assume he'd end up hiccuping bubbles, as well.

Oddly enough my 'Birthday' story has Grunt drinking ryncol from a very large dented tin cup... and Jack drinking neat scotch :D

I'll get it finished ASAP...

Only at the right time and place, comrade. I'm waiting for an excuse... biding my time until someone takes a hard enough pop at Jack... then I think a nuclear response is in order . Needs to come from that camp though or it loses some of its burn.

I've made a slightly more precise version, too... tac-nuke as opposed to a tzar-bomba ;)

Ok, I will say something really really(and I mean REALLY) bad about Jack in Tali's thread.
Time to start the flame war between Jack and Tali. I want to see this site burn to the ground... Posted Image

Inter-party romances... oh, Albion.

Well if that wasn't a blast from the past.  I'd almost forgotten about the game until you mentioned it.  Unfortunately, it only highlights how barren the CRPG landscape is these days.  Also, now I'm sad because I can't find my disks and it wouldn't run on Vista anyway.... :(

Jacob and Miranda had their chance to
shine, it did not work and there does not even appear to be any
lingering feelings, at least on the part of Miranda.

I dunno about that.  The look she gives him in the post-Jacob LM seems to indicate some residual feeling there.  Besides it could always be the stereotypical "past lovers who rekindle the flame" thing.  No, I'm not saying you're wrong - it's your opinion and I respect that - I'm just bound and determined to keep Miranda from being a canon LI for Shepards.  :P  I don't hate her, I'm just not particularly fond of her.  For me, she falls into the same category as Morrigan in DA:O - just there, nothing to write home about.

As a side note for everyone who's gotten the Alternate Appearance DLC, the head of the ME2 Textures Modder group has said that he MIGHT have something this weekend that removes the shades from the new outfits.  Epantiras asked the question over there first, so I take no credit for anything apart from posting about it here.  Crossing my fingers....

No, me flaming Jack(which sucks, because I really like her) in Tali's thread. Or maybe I should make a new topic just about that. Then Mondo will have to post that picture and the epic flamewar will start.
People will cry, they will be banned and this forum will be frontpage news.
And after a while, this forum will be burned to the ground and Bioware will have no more reason to bring out any new games.

I think one thread to take the **** out of characters without anyone getting offended would be great. But people are too damn sensitive about their favourites for that to ever happen peacefully. Blasted, uptight, *grumblegrumble*...

I'll just go back to my doodles of the ME2 cast now. Maybe do a "how they're most likely to die" spin-off, ooh, that could be fun..

I love them all too. Just not enough that I can't laugh if I get them killed in the game.
