The first two, I haven't heard in-game yet though, only in the audio files, so I can't pick those. So I'll have to go with the last one.

The girl might just surprise you. Treat her well, and you might just suddenly find all her grousing and tantrums are endearing, and those big brown eyes will eat you up. Give Jack a try - we're all bias as hell in here, but we all think she's worth a dozen Talis or Mirandas because of the quality of her romance.

Plus she can pull heavy mechs to bits when she gets pissed off - what's not to love? Ditch her at your own peril

Oh, incedentally, anyone know where I can start putting this story I'm writing on a chapter-by-chapter basis? I think the blog should just be for my deleted scenes, this will just confuse things. Chapter one down, just going to give it a re-read, I might get another out before the night is over

And yes, for now it is called Northwest Jacqueline, and I know that's a pretty lousy title, but that's not for any reason you'll know or guess until you start reading

Ok, Fanfiction.net account made for meself... going to give this first chapter a couple of re-reads before I post anything... needs more work before I let anyone go poking and prodding at it.

The whole story is very much wild west, yeah. Only with more varren.

Think High Plains Drifter, meets Unforgiven, meets Rambo, only in the Mass Effect universe I'm not writing for a universal audience, either... expect foul language, graphic violence and if we're lucky at least one bit of R-rated sex (if it fits... I think it does, anyways, but as things evolve, it might not)...

Let me try and blurbify the thing...

"2190. The Alliance frontier settlement of Northwest Edge; a small farming community on the storm-torn desert planet of McCrae's World. Population 207. Its most enigmatic resident is Jacqueline Carter; a woman no-one knows, whose life is nothing but whispers and rumour, and who may very well be a murderer. A local marshall and a colony engineer plan to discover the truth behind the Jacqueline's appearance on McCrae's World; each for their own reasons and each with an agenda beyond simple curiosity. However the tornado season is fast approaching, and this year the winds will bring more destruction and death than anyone could expect to Northwest Edge, and unleash the hidden fury of the mysterious Jacqueline on an unsuspecting world..."

Yeah, sounds passable. Just

This is why I don't think Jack fans need to worry about Jack not being in ME3 due to not having as many fans as other squadmates. They knew Jack would be a tough person to like. There's evidence in the game of their intention to make Jack tough to like. During a conversation with Jack, there is a renegade dialogue choice that literally says, "You're a tough person to like Jack." And Jack responds with something along the lines of, "Well no ****."  And Casey Hudson has said in more than one interview that Jack has a tough exterior but if you talk to her then you will see her softer side. Now with this interview you just posted Bobby, it is official that they intentionally made Jack off-putting. I have to applaud BioWare for taking all these risks and putting so much effort into creating such a wide range of characters and personalities that they knew certain people would hate and others would love.

Yeah obviously they are on the ball with Jack. They knew she wasn't going to attract the fan base certain characters do but they didn't let that stop them from delivering another fantastic character.



I don't think we have much to worry about.

In the background, is total destruction - twisted metal, obliterated concrete, mercenaries from all the companies laying about on the ground, slumped over torn-apart support-structures, some hanging from the walls, their upper-torsos having comically gone straight through the walls.  In the midst of it all, in the distance, we can see one mercenary, alive, peeking over what used to be his cover, a knee-high wall of concrete that's been damaged along the top, making it look like some ravenous creature took bites along its top.  Bits of exposed, gnarled rebar jut from it.  The mercenary has a surprised expression on its face.   Maybe it's the very same Salarian Eclipse merc that gives the expression, the one pictured in adriano's forum avatar.

Just something cute (relative to Jack, of course) I thought up.

Sound like a great pic.

What the heck does this have to do with Jack? Well, I am trying to do some fanart, and I am trying to find a way to portray Jack and what she is. So, I have a question; What is one line that Jack says that sums her up to you? Something that sums up her character, and attitude, while still being concise. eg: Samara is easy, she has poise, elegence. "By the code, I will seerve you Sheperd" fits her well.

It's easy for me to draw what Samara is. Jack is, as always, difficult to deal with.

Well I'm a bit late, but as I brought up once earlier in the thread, by far my favorite line from Jack is:

"So f*** you, and thanks for asking."

First, it made me laugh for a few minutes when I first heard it, and still makes me smile whenever she says it. Aside from that it really applies to her character as a whole, with the tough exterior (Starting off with an f-bomb) leading to her gooey center that really does want someone to care about her.

Add me to the list of folks who want to see this magnum opus, Mondo.  I've been toying with the idea of a fanfic (please don't hit me, anyone!) but I don't think I can do the character justice so I haven't started seriously on anything.  Maybe I'll play ME2 through several dozen more times to get a better handle on things....

Wow that was pretty sad.  I wouldn't even of thought of doing that option.  I couldn't bring myself to do that.
