47 as in Agent 47... I have a thing for bald men ;)

It's just a handle I used for network gaming back at college, and it was a damn sight easier to type in a rush or scream over Ventrillo "47, get to the back door. Barneys in MAX suits! GO!!" :D

Mondo47 used to play Planetside.   It's not like I needed another reason to like her, but here it is.

I was known to spam the Noobhammer from time to time, but MAX suits were my thing... locking down at the top of a staircase and just spraying death on anything that was red or purple...

I was Vanu.  I was a master Magrider pilot, though non-Vanus will tell you that that is an empty achievement.  Whatever.   My roommate manned the Rail-cannon and, playing in the same room and communicating with each other, no one and nothing could touch us.

Then our college OIT decided to ban all internet games except for WoW.  I was a sad Barney that day.

I played with a pack of lunatics that had no concept of risk, danger or tactical withdrawal. We'd slip behind enemy lines just to steal vehicles (that was such joy, seeing some Elmos come rushing out of a tower only to find their party bus was now yellow and driving over them) or sit in bases near gates that would be occupied as part of an expanding enemy action on the continent and hold insane beach-heads while the rest of the NC mobilized and came flooding in. We were regularly drunk in charge of ordnance and had a rep for kamikaze runs with dropships and suicide orbital strikes, but we got the job done.

We used to trade vehicles with the Barneys on occasions; give them some decent tanks while we went joyriding Mags over cliffs and into lava for giggles. The Elmos though... never liked them. Hacked their BFRs and dismantled them purely out of spite :D

Have to agree with you there; Agent 47 was a damn handsome man - I just wish there were some way to mod Shepard to look like him. With the suit and everything, ideally.

That's just...evil.   (No I don't hate Thane.)  That said, it would have been an interesting touch if Bioware had made it so that he puts on his hostile-environment mask when you bring him to Pragia.  It would be great if they were that obsessive about detail.

Well, this is one of my Male-Sheps... about as close as you can get vanilla, no tweaking or whatnot...

Hey guys, huge Jack fan here, I have a quick question that id lov some input on. What do you guys think is the best way to assign Jack's points? I'm an infiltrator playing on insanity btw.

Thanks all

I max out everything except pull, and then put 1 into that. Hard to go wrong though, I'd just max out her class skill first thing.

Unfortunately, if you max out everything, there's no point left over to take pull.

Loved the water effects on the characters in that mission, too bad it was short lived. :|

Oh. Well then I'd take one out from her ammo power. I don't like warp ammo much.

Ok, just finished my 4th playthrough and am too tired and too lazy to read all those 155 pages too look if it had eventually been written before. But has anyone noticed that she looks a lot like Natalie Portman as in "V for Vendetta"? Or somehow like a grown up Mathilda like in "The Professional"... her attitude reminds me of what she could have become. Going to bed now, after my Blade Runner soundtrack is finished :-) Hopefully dreaming of her, or Tali, or Liara... man.... the perfect cliche nerdgame hehe...cheers

Yeah Jack's looks were often compared to Natalie Portman from "V for Vendetta" before ME2 was even released. Which I think is a compliment because Natalie Portman looks damn good with a shaved head. I actually prefer her short haired and shaved head look over long hair. She has really nice eyes too. I've noticed that her eyes seem to be accentuated by having a shaved head. I guess you notice them more when you don't have a lot of hair to focus on. Maybe that's one of the reasons why Jack's eyes are so distinct.

I was just wondering is it possible to just be friends with Jack when you a male Shepard as if ya choose the middle choices on the dialogue wheel (the neutral ones) why does she still think you want to romance her as you don't flirt or give off any signals I don't think but when she asks if your interested near the end of her dialogue tree and you say no she gets pissed off and says you were messing with her. Anyway just wondering if there is a friendship path like in DA:O?

Bah... I can't post any of this story until tomorrow thanks to their antispam precautions. Two chapters in. Will start on the third this weekend or later tonight depending on my mood. Shaping up quite nicely thus far. I am going to take certain liberties with what may or may not happen in ME3 (the story is set in 2190, which should put it far enough after whatever is going to go down) and assume a personal 'canon' of events for the story's sake.

Will keep you posted and make sure a link comes in here as soon as I'm popping things online ^_^

Alas no... there is no real 'friendship' path with Jack (bad dog, Bioware!)... in fact, pretty much all the love interests become all or nothing in their conversations and unless you choose to consummate the relationship everything just dries up in the end. Bit of a missed opportunity there...

Between this, and the "It was a mistake coming here Shepeerd" on the way down, I started to like her for more than being the tattooed crazy lady. (This forum seems to hate me quoting images sometimes)

Nice looking guy that.
Might have to try a Agent 47 Sheperd myself.

My horde of Femsheps agree. Hopefully there'll be alot more chances in ME3, but, still..

I agree with you there; Jack is something of a lesson in the importance of not judging a book by its cover.

The relationship with her is as close as ME's come to Dragon Age in terms of emotional investment by the player, and, after showing you her vulnerable side, she's still ready to blast the **** out of everybody else. I just wonder what could happen in ME3 if BioWare actually decide to include ME2's cast. As in, will she stay with you, or will the relationship break down and force her to leave.

Oh, and yeah, I'd love an Agent 47-style Shepard, bar-code and all. Does anyone else think more games should adopt a Hitman-style mission structure? Just saying, Blood Money was probably the most well-designed game I've ever played besides Deus Ex.

I imagine this has already been discussed to death here (but what hasn't?), but I thought if the whole 'romance or nothing' thing worked for anyone it was Jack. She's not looking to make friends after all.

True, but it means that a female Shepard can't possibly help change her for the better... I mean, a romance with Shep begins to work positive magic on Jack, which could (potentially at least) lead to the character further evolving into the next game or possibly beyond. For it to seemingly hang on ownership of a 'magic wand' (ho ho ho) is a bit... limited?

What Jack needs is someone to care for her, to bring her out from behind this self-destructive self-defence mechanism she's constructed around her life. It need not really hang on the power of true love and all that - I was a bit (ok, read a lot) disappointed that Jack couldn't find a friend in a female Shepard; someone that truly wanted nothing at all from her other than for her not to feel like she has no-one at her back.  I felt the whole "I don't wanna play," thing was a bit assumptive of a good man being Jack's only chance at normality, when a good friend could do the selfsame thing.

Yes, I wanted to be her mommy - but let's face it, she could use someone to care for her no matter what :P
