Not that our girl's doing too badly, but let's make our presence felt. No sense in building a suicide squad if we don't do anything dangerous.

Or I could be worng, and bother things have perfectly good reasons behind them that I've missed, or that they've not told.
Yeah, I loved that. That's it her who does it if they all survive is great. In my last playthrough, it was Morinth, since only she, Grunt and Zaeed survived.Jackal904 wrote...
Ya I thought that was kool when she nodded at me in the last cutscene. I thought it was because I romanced her and I thought, "oh that's kool, BioWare must have your LI give you some extra acknowledge in the last cutscene." But then I beat it with my femShep and she still nodded at me lol. I guess it's good though that she always nods at Shepard though. People might think, "Hm, Jack nodded at me, maybe she's not that bad."

What a silly poll, I never understood why people felt a need to kill off a character...but then again I managed to somehow keep squad and crew alive on my first playthrough without spoilers. When I decided to check out the death compilation on youtube, ugh...that crap is just plain depressing, especially the scene of the collectors walking around your hold the line squad's corpses and Shep's fall...I just can't seem to do that style of playthrough.

Now if someone used that justification to bump off Jack, I'd be... Ambivalent. I wouldn't necessarily approve, but their favorite characters may not be mine. But it's better than bumping them off just because I don't like them. I'd never do that... Except with Miranda... That one time...

To be fair, my main female Shepard does have four casualties at the end (Kasumi, Garrus, Jacob, Samara). But this isn't because I hate the characters. I love all four of 'em. I want to see how ME3 will be different with the four of them gone. I want to see if I get a crappier ending because one of them might be important to the plot. And I want that wistful feeling that they're not there anymore.
I thought about doing a playthrough with casualties, but then I thought if the ME3 (nonimport) default was anything like the ME2 default, everyone would probably already be dead.

Agree. Althought I did kill Jacob and Zaeed on my second playthrough. Hell, Jacob volunteered to go into the vents, and while I knew what would happen, I still let him go
Probably would never kill SuZe off though.
What? I just like SuZe better!

"The bed's too big without her... and her suitcase of toys... and the ballgag..."
Joking aside, I've not lost anyone on any of my playthroughs. I've made different 'big' choices in my different Shepards (rachni, genophage, etc.) but since it's easily in my power to save everyone, I do. I've not even had any loyalty problems yet - even when I deliberately side with Jack over Miranda just for ****s and giggles; I can always talk her back around. Never tried it with Jack though... I should, but I can't see her side as wrong.

Wow Jack is doing quite well. I don't understand why anyone would kill of a character intentionally. They are depriving themselves of content in ME3. Now if they have a main Shepard where all squadmates survive, and then have seperate Shepards with casualties so that they can see what the differences will be in ME3, that's fine.

Miranda died on my insanity playthrough. I chose Jack's side during their arguement because I didn't have the charm or intimidate option available. And I was too late in the game to get enough paragon points to gain her loyalty back. But after I found out what you say when you convince her to regain her loyalty, I wouldn't have done it even if I had enough paragon points. When you take Jack's side and charm or intimidate Miranda into regaining her loyalty, Shepard pretty much says, "Jack is a retard, I took her side just so she doesn't go crazy."

Hell, the only two I haven't lost either on purpose or by accident are Legion and (weirdly enough) Mordin.

Let's see...
TALI: (by accident, through vents, Zaeed leading 1st FT)
THANE: (on purpose, Miranda holding barrier)
KASUMI: (on purpose, engine room fire, MFS playthrough)
GARRUS: (on purpose, vents, MFS playthrough)
JACOB: (on purpose, Miranda holding barrier, MFS playthrough)
SAMARA: (on purpose, 2nd FT leader, MFS playthrough)
ZAEED: (on purpose, 2nd FT leader)
MIRANDA: (on purpose, disloyal and fighting Pants the Human Reaper)
GRUNT: (by accident, 2nd FT leader)
And to round it all out...
JACK: (by accident, Miranda holding barrier)

And now you all know why I hate Miranda. I KNOW she dropped that barrier on purpose to get Jack killed, and nothing could convince me otherwise.
But like I've said, never lost Mordin, on account of taking my squishier squaddies with me to fight Pants while all the thickies were there to hold the line and watch Mordin's back.

If there was one way I would not want to see Jack die, it's that way. Those swarm things freak me out and to be taken a way by a bunch of them I think is the worst way to go. They carry the person off somewhere and who knows what the hell happens to them.
