So I read chapter 1 of your fanfic Mondo. I liked it a lot. It was kind of difficult to mix older western and futuristic images in my head. It seemed to convey a picture of something from the movie "Tremors" most of the time, but then VI's were introduced and a turian was mentioned. It's not necessarily a bad thing, it's just difficult to try and picture the two mixed together. Overall it was very good though Posted Image, and I liked the cliffhanger ending.

And just to clear things up, is Jacqueline actually Jack from ME? Or is it someone different yet similar to Jack? If it is actually Jack might I suggest using the name 'Jack' instead of 'Jacqueline'? It's mostly just personal preference, but I also think it would be easier to picture her if her name stays as 'Jack'. And I've never been a fan of the name 'Jacqueline'. To me 'Jacqueline' sounds like the name a black tranvestite would give themself for their female alias... don't ask Posted Image.

Y'all will just have to see... explaining who Jacqueline actually is will just blow all the suspense well before I shoot the bolt and lock you in :D

Tremors is neat parallel, actually... small, isolated population in the middle of nowhere. Pebblebacks are kinda like lame Graboids in a way... the second chapter makes them even lamer ^_^

Just finished reading your first chapter, Mondo.  As an aside, I've seen/read/played enough Wild West/SF hybrids that the juxtaposition doesn't come off as jarring.  Overall PDG (pretty dang good) - waiting for more
<hint hint>.  :D

Haha that's funny. Were you the one that made the comic with the cerberus hating club thing? If so you should post that here, that one cracked me up. Posted Image

Ah no, that wasn't me ;-)

BTW I've just finished the lineart of my *serious* Jack fan art... it took me 4 hours. FOUR DAMN HOURS XD and I haven't added her tattoos yet! Man, has anyone ever tried to draw her boots? The guy who did them must be either a madman or a genius. Or both ;-)
I'm too lazy to scan the drawing, you'll have to wait to see it

Samara's boobs gave me alot more trouble. I mean, they're huge from some angles, and almost as small as Jack's in others. But can't wait to see it.

That's because of a particular combination of biotic powers and mass effect fields :wizard:

I actually liked Samara's boobs for the simple reason they look like real ones; they have some weight and gravity to them and look like they belong on a woman as opposed to on a Barbie doll.

That's true. And they're not bad at all for being nearly 1000.

Hugs are one of the best kinds of gifts. And that is adorable. Makes me want to go hug somebody. (Easily influenced? Moi?) ^_^

That thing is starting to tug my heartstrings every time I see it... considering I've only seen it a couple of times (well three times... I've romanced her more than any other love interest) it just makes me want to do it all over again.

Actually, having it loop like that has brought out for me the fact that, going back however many pages, I'd said that I'd wished that Jack had just had one tiny little sob before Shep sweeps her up in his arms to take all that doubt and fear away... she actually does it. Gets all swept up in that awful womance muzak though... most of the music in the game is pretty good, but the romance overture is... well, it should be more like this.

80's sci-fi music at its very best. No doubts.

I'm glad you guys all like it. I made a couple gifs for the miranda thread and not one of them thanked me or even commented on it.

Came across this screen, unfortunately with some moronic caption splashed across it, and was curious if anyone knew what dialogue scene it was from?

I think that's from the Purgatory escape sequence...

I'll admit though the moronic caption made me crack a smile though... steal Jack's teddy and you wind up dead

Well, that's the Miridians for ya (well maybe not ALL Miridians).  I doubt many of them would even notice if you didn't include the front or back bumpers somewhere....    Anyway, between Jack's Loyalty mission, the Murtock "confession," and this scene, Bioware had me sold on Jack, so thanks for posting this here.  Always nice to be reminded of the times ME2 didn't drop the ball.

Lol that's pretty funny. It's from her recruitment mission where she woops on those blue suns gaurds.

I think it's when she's right about to biotic-punch the mechs. And the caption is hilarious.

Yeah, with her super cutscene powers. I wonder what BioWare was thinking when they had her take out three ymir mechs by herself, rip a part a space prison, and take out a bunch of gaurds, and then make her as useful as Jacob "The Priiize" Taylor in realtime combat. She is supposed to be the most powerful human biotic in the freaking galaxy and yet in combat she gets killed by few loki mechs...

It's not just Jack though. Samara dumps on a group of eclipse mercs by herself and goes super sayian on Morinth, yet in combat if you leave her alone against some mech dogs she'll get torn apart. Miranda launches that one asari in her loyalty mission like a ragdoll, Kasumi jumps on a gunship like a monkey and destroys it, and Thane takes out a whole squad of mercs without them firing a bullet. I hope in ME3 they give squadmates some really powerful ability with a long cooldown to make the difference between combat power and cutscene power less obvious.

Nah, I like the badass cutscenes, even if they aren't as good as realtime combat.

Hrm. Just went through the mission. Doesn't seem to be any of the cutscenes.

-edit. Well, it seems that it is from the purgatory escape scene. However, when I run through it, she has some biotic aura all over which threw me off.

This is what I get -

Any explanations for the difference? Photoshop?

Ok, beginning to post Northwest Jacqueline at long last - synopsis and first chapter in place... not sure I like the format on that site, but... needs must, I guess.

All critique accepted and welcomed, though I warn you this story will take a while to get up to speed... a lot has to happen yet before the proverbial **** gets anywhere near a fan.

I'm liking it so far. Got that Firefly feel, and that is a good thing. I always liked the Sci-fi Western idea. Wish more people would give it a whirl. You left me wanting more, and I'm not a huge fan of reading on my PC.:P
