Ya with Jack I choose the dialogue options that are nice but don't make me sounds like a ****. Like when she says she'll help you go pirate, I always choose the dialogue choice that jokingly says, "Will you be my first mate?" Because the other sounds so goody-two-shoes and I hate it.

Haha yeah I don't understand how that's the paragon choice. I think the neutral and the paragon choice should flip at that part.

I find that pretty much all the neutral options are the ones I'd pick were I Shepard. There's breaking her down with a nice guy act with paragon or acting like a complete tool with renegade.



But neutral? Neutral is levelling with her, basically saying "Look, I like you and I'm a nice guy, but I'm not kissing your ass and don't confuse me for a p***y." It's the approach I think Jack would appreciate the most.

I agree with royce here, although I like to throw in some renegade ones from time to time. Seems to fit more to both my Shep and Jack

Hello Jackmancers (correct term?), I rarely post in other fan threads and recently thought that was lame of me cuz I'm not just here just for Tali, I'm here to support everything Bioware is doing. I even love the romances that I don't agree with, because it adds dynamics to the game. I'll never romance Miranda, but I wouldn't have her character any other way.

Those who wished Jack would be taken out of the game back in January before the release are the most close-minded people on the site.
Anyways, just showing support, I became even more fond of Jack because of this picture for several reasons:

#1 Jack is in standing in between Tali and Garrus in a pretty badass pose.
#2 it was one of many Jacktastic moments "nobody wants to take orders from you" *Garrus shakes head*
Miranda: "This isn't a popularity contest, Shepard you need someone who commands loyalty through experience"
Shepard: "Very well, Garrus it is.



Anyways I'm a super forum wh*re and I only get a piece of the pie in other threads as far as the attainment of knowledge of this amazing Mass Effect universe. You all seem to be a pretty intelligent bunch so I'll be lurking

I totally agree. Paragon choices can be as D-baggie as Renegade all throughout the game not just romances, I wish the game didn't punish you for staying neutral. I like a lot of the neutral choices, but you are locked out of some dialogue options cause your Paragon/Renegade is not high enough. (ie. Fight btw Jack and Miranda, or fight btw Tali and Legion).

Welcome, glad to have you aboard. It's nice when people can appreciate more than just their favorite aspect of something, and remain open to other things. 

I love that scene too. It was just very appropriate to have Jack, given her personality, speak out there. I'm glad Bioware decided to put that in, when it would have been very easy for them to just ignore squad interactions there and go on with the mission.

Courtenay Taylor really drew me into Jack (besides her obvious intriguing background and story),  you can't have a romance without good voice acting. Yvonne is an ok VA but just cold...so cold.

Anyways I notice the OP of this thread could use some serious revamping. You all have passionate summaries of why you like Jack, put that in the OP. Also, load it with gifs and epic Jack pictures! (opinion)

Jack and Miranda is the best pairing BioWare did since Alistair and Morrigan IMO.

I always bring the two together. The funniest thing is when you take them to Collector's Derelict Ship mission. Full of WIN.

The funny thing with my MeerSheps is that I had everything planned out in a pretty dispassionate, almost clinical fashion.  I was planning to split up the various classes between my FemSheps and MeerSheps, so I was thinking Vanguard - Jack (both in-your-face fighters), Adept-Tali (complementary skillsets), and Engineer-Miranda (because my FemSheps were already doing Soldier-Infil-Sentinel).  But after my first playthrough with my FemShep soldier, I only managed to get through one non-Jack MeerShep romance: Miranda, which left me, well, cold.  That basically deep-sixed the rest of the plan, and my MeerSheps are pretty much all-Jack-all-the-time romancewise.  Looks never entered into the situation, because I only ever managed to make one MeerShep face I could stand, and  that was way back in ME1.

As far as conversations go, I always went with Paragon choices, because I can't stand the way a Renegade comes off.  But after reading about the neutral options on this thread, I used those for all my subsequent Jack romances; they really seem to fit the progression better.

I'm still hoping maybe ME3 will have either a Normandy dinner scene where we see all the companions at the dinner table eating and chatting with each other, or maybe a scene in the Normandy's bar where we get to observe each squadmates drinking habits and watch them get smashed, start fights, cry, laugh and all that.



The Normandy just needs to feel alive

I like people like you . People who can appreciate characters even if they don't like them. I may rip on Miranda often but I would never change her. She is who she is and I can appreciate that. I also love how Jack has two "romance" paths. I agree that it adds dynamicness to her character and makes her even more unique. I will never be able to understand the people who wish to leave her on the Purgatory. Some people are so close minded and stubborn, oh well, their loss.

Obviously none of you people in here will know me - how should you, my first post in this forum.

So recently I found some time to make another two playthroughs and after romancing Tali a couple of times I got kinda turned down by the way a several thread is doing... nervermind.
So I asked myself which character else is interesting but things evolved without my recognition, Jack appeared in a light I never saw her before and so I decided to take a look where it leads to, and now I'm posting in her thread to show my support.
Why we need her in ME3? We'll aside from the fact, that LI's should play a bigger role in the series, Jack is unique. Imo the most unique character you can get. She is that girl, gone threw horrible things that shaped her and made her the way she is. But instead of fuc*in around and telling everybody how hard life was for her, she covers herself in a cloud of mystery. And that is where things get interesting. You want to help her, you want to break threw that camoflauge of anger to see what's covered beneath and as you free one layer after the other you start to care. Even that much, that you get feelings for her. Where she does not want to be taken by the hand, where she never would admit needing someone to be there for her you want to be. And you get rewarded, you get such an intense romance scene that blows your mind away. She opens up and falls into your arms to get protected. The insecure, little girl behind the camoflauge gets visible, turns out to be more than just your imagination, turns into burning, passionable flesh. But this is not the end, this is where everything starts. Because all you can be for her is the anchor, the safe spot she can rely on, that she can tell every thought and beeing understood. But solving her issues is a thing you're not capable of doing, this is where you just can back her up and push her in the right direction.
You are shepard, protector of the galaxy and you are shepard, protector of the deep and vulnerable core Jack has, willing to support her in every way to see the light shining threw the dark clouds that keep her away from seeing how beautiful existence and how beautiful she is.
