Nice post sm00thie88. One thing I appreciate about Jack is that she doesn't throw her problems on you, unlike quite afew Bioware romances..

for posting Tali, but the artist of this picture also did one of Jack

be greatly appreciated:

Sure, here are Jack's,
Garrus's and Thane's artwork by the same artist:

Damn talented artists *Grumbles*... <_< But I'm not jealous!

Thanks for those sigbars Jackal, I've been looking for those. Was close to trying to make my own in fact. Hmm.. Might do that anyway, and stick some more people on...

Obviously none of you people in here will know me - how should you, my first post in this forum.

So recently I found some time to make another two playthroughs and after romancing Tali a couple of times I got kinda turned down by the way a several thread is doing... nervermind.
So I asked myself which character else is interesting but things evolved without my recognition, Jack appeared in a light I never saw her before and so I decided to take a look where it leads to, and now I'm posting in her thread to show my support.
Why we need her in ME3? We'll aside from the fact, that LI's should play a bigger role in the series, Jack is unique. Imo the most unique character you can get. She is that girl, gone threw horrible things that shaped her and made her the way she is. But instead of fuc*in around and telling everybody how hard life was for her, she covers herself in a cloud of mystery. And that is where things get interesting. You want to help her, you want to break threw that camoflauge of anger to see what's covered beneath and as you free one layer after the other you start to care. Even that much, that you get feelings for her. Where she does not want to be taken by the hand, where she never would admit needing someone to be there for her you want to be. And you get rewarded, you get such an intense romance scene that blows your mind away. She opens up and falls into your arms to get protected. The insecure, little girl behind the camoflauge gets visible, turns out to be more than just your imagination, turns into burning, passionable flesh. But this is not the end, this is where everything starts. Because all you can be for her is the anchor, the safe spot she can rely on, that she can tell every thought and beeing understood. But solving her issues is a thing you're not capable of doing, this is where you just can back her up and push her in the right direction.
You are shepard, protector of the galaxy and you are shepard, protector of the deep and vulnerable core Jack has, willing to support her in every way to see the light shining threw the dark clouds that keep her away from seeing how beautiful existence and how beautiful she is.

Very well put, and a great way to introduce yourself to the thread, Welcome. If you are cold enough and you choose Jack to lead the fire team as she is dying she reveals that she is happy for the first time in her life with SHepard. (in so many words, I paraphrased;))

I could not have possibly said it better myself, even if you gave me all the time in the world. Such a great interpretation. One that I 100% agree with. I'm glad you stopped by to give us your support and view of Jack and her romance Posted Image. It's always nice to see new people here.

Does Jack eat at evening meals or is she probably alone with Garrus and Tali cuz they don't eat the same foods? Posted Image Wish Bioware would tell us what goes in behind the scenes.

Yeah one of my biggest wishes for ME3 is some more squadmate interactions inside and outside the Normandy. Plus more party banter would be awesome.

Thank you guys, appreciate such a welcome.

Well to be honest I've been following this thread since Jack caught me and even if it's not as fast and as full as some other support threads (guess which) the atmosphere is a lot better and the discussions interesting.
So if you don't mind, I'll put my tent down here and spent some of my spare time lurkin' around and chatting about Jack ^_^

Welcome. And we call ourselves Jackolytes, but Jackmancers can work too. The Jack Miranda interactions were great, I wish there were more of them.

I'm sure Bobby will oblige us eventually ;)

I'll chip in for now then.

Actually, based on Bobby's latest effort... someone new might be coming between our two lovebirds

And Shepard thought he was the stud of the ship. If he only knew, how inadequate he must feel.

Well, Shepard's still doing well for himself... Zaeed, Dr Chakwas, Mordin...

The Normandy really should change it's name to the Love Boat.

Well, it's not technically a boat. :?

How about the Love Frigate?

On my way to university I listened to some random music and that tune just shot like thousands of short lightnings threw my head and made me immediately think of Jack. I guess that's a tune I would listen with her while getting caught by her beautiful tatoos and soaking up the stories that lies behind each of them.

Great screenshots, love them :)

btw. I found this quite a while ago but now it just revealed a complete new meaning.
The poet is misunderstood
Writing his thoughts with the ink of life
Witness of existence
On the paper shaped by experience
For the sake not to flood

yeah new people welcome and stuff:P

when someone posted this picture a page back:
Posted Image

It reminded me of something that was posted in the motivationals thread some time ago. I dont feel like searching for it (bed time/ important exam tomorrow:?)  But it were two pictures from this scene, with Garrus and Grunt both looking at Jack with a face that said:" Who the f*ck are you?"  They were hilarious:O

Wow...Jack just got 3x hotter because of the pics on the last few pages.

Thank you iNixiRir, Jackal, Chaos-fusion, Jack is now upgraded to Legendary status. And I agree with smoothie, sometimes the speed of the Tali thread is too much, and you lose a discussion in the process.
Have to goto work but will drop by occasionally for some knowledge :P

Quoting this cuz I can:

It's nice to have another person here to put their feet on the table and knock the ashtrays over... we don't stand at attention here, so pull up a chair Sm00 and get comfy. Welcome to the Jackolytes ;)

While you're talking music, I'll just wag this at you... it's my Jackmance song. Because no matter how painful or difficult it might become, Shep won't abandon her. Not while I'm pulling his goddamn strings at least!

I do think that it's a testament to the writing that some characters wire up so well in your brain that you start to relate certain images conjured up by words to them... the way some songs marry to characters...

Actually, considering the whole tapestry that is Jack's skin, I've wondered before how those stories could come out. I like to imagine that as their relationship develops there'd be a few moments where Shep would tease an answer or two out of Jack as to what this one means, or this one, or that one... there are, well, natural moments for things like that to happen (just speaking from experience there - lovers find all your scars when you're naked and half-asleep and start asking how you got this one, and this one, and...), if Shep could take his mind off what the coffee table just spent the last half hour trying to do and where he can get some new fish :D

I might have to write one now for the deleted scenes blog... next chapter of Northwest should be up tomorrow, by the way - I wanted to tweak it a bit more.

Welcome, sm00thie and Goat. I like you kids. When I die, you two can run my university. And in the interest of fairness, as we're getting emissaries from other threads, the Tali and Jack romances are the only romances in either ME game I'd give A-grades to. Just to get that out of the way.

See? We're nice people here.

EDIT: Mondo & sm00thie, if you wanted to be really cheesy and obvious (like I am today, apparently), then I think this song might do the trick...

So here I come with a serious question.

I'm starting off a new playthrough, trying to play the first time as the real renegade (quite hard for me, as some of the renegade decision just suck... but maybe I can do it this time). What I'm planning for LI, of course, Jack once more. So it should be, since this is in some approach an RPG we are playing here, my renegade shepard, no interest in relationships in me1 and not interested in them in me2 neither... until he gets to know Jack better. So what I definitely don't want is the renegade sex scene with her. My question know is, since I want to (at least try) to play a believable renegade: After refusing the casual sex with her can I still pick the renegade options in conversations with jack and get her romance scene before the omega 4 relay or does it all have to be the neutral or paragon answers?
'cause what I see is my shep, badass suddenly in a struggle with new feelings which were unknown to him before and the reason for this is Jack.

Hope you got what I mean :?

Yes, it is possible.  Just don't pick the ones that just straight up dump her.  Actually, the renegade exchanges are some of the best dialogue interactions of any kind in game.  Particularly the last one.  Absolutely priceless.

Oh yes.
I tried both the paragon and renegade path through that brief epilogue, but the renegade one is just far more satisfying regardless of what your characters, shall we say, moral alignment may be.
The way it eases through that initial "bull****" remark to "sacrificing the soul of our species" is just priceless.

Well while we're duelling, I'll take your Siouxsie, and raise you one of the few occasions were a cover can annihilate an original. And it fits lyrically!
