I think that's the reason why BioWare didn't make Liara, Kaiden, and Ashley as squadmates in ME2, because they wanted to give the new squadmates a chance to be romanced, because I think most people would have ignored the new LI's and just stuck with their ME1 LI. And it would have been weird to cheat on your ME1 LI if they were a squadmate in ME2. It just wouldn't have worked.

I'm a sadist in that I routinely browse 4chan. This means I voluntarily perform the virtual equivalent of beating myself about the head with a powerful object.
This thread, and the Samara thread, however, are veritable godsends when it comes to intelligent conversation on the internet. This thread especially has great contributors who I know I can rely on to provide great insights in to Jack's character.
That's why I stick around.
EDIT: Quoted the wrong person.

If Jack were a squaddie in the third game, I'd totally wish she have a bigger biotic skillset.
Yeah. I want the bastion version of statis back. Just freezing an enemy in place with biotics was so awesome. Jack could get an AoE statis ability. That would be so badass. But I would much prefer that she at least get biotic charge. That would be awesome seeing her dart across the screen like a blue torpedo.

I don't know how anyone can browse through that site more than once, let alone frequently visit it. It's just a giant cluster **** of random garbage and disturbing images.

I've been on online forums ever since I was a kid, when Pokemon Red and Blue came out so that I could have people lie to me about Mew being under that damn truck.
You know you feel old when you hear this and think. "When I was a kid (6ish) we had Monster Math and Kings Quest 1 & 2, and that Nintendo with Super Mario Brothers. Pokemon Red is really that old?"

I had a Super Nintendo. I played the sh** out of it. I wore the letters right off the buttons to the tune of Super Mario Bros. and NBA Jam and Killer Instinct. Pokemon was just so much more popular than anything else at the time.

It wouldn't hurt for you to come over to the Samara thread a little more often york. It has been rather slow over there lately. Traitor! Just kidding.yorkj86 wrote...

I wish they would have given her warp rather than lift and made her bonus power slam and given Miranda warp ammo.

Ah, I remember going to the arcades, and looking like an idiot trying to do fake finishing moves on the original Mortal Kombat machine. "No, really, this one board I read on AOL said this is DEFINITELY how you do Liu Kang's finisher!" And being so proud of being the first person on the Sega CD AOL boards to figure out how to unlock Hooter on Eternal Champions 2. (He was an owl; keep your minds out of the gutter.)
I sorta miss the days when I had the patience and reflexes to look up twenty-hit combos online, and memorize long strings of button combinations to rip somebody's spine out. Now, I stick with RPGs and shooters.

Up, Up, Down, Down, left, right, left right, B, A, Start... the Contra code (before it was known as the Konami code). That's how long I've been playing video games.

We used to go up to the Arcade and play the early games like pong, tempest, centipede, etc...
Then I got a Commodore64 for Christmas one year. That was the best back then. I must have copied about 200 games from firends on 5 1/4 floppy disks. I never paid for a game.

Yeah. Kind of weird how Miranda has tons of utility abilities, and her squad damage bonus class ability, and then...Slam. What happened there? And why does Jack have Warp Ammo? I know she's a powerful biotic, more powerful than Miranda, but it seems a little out-of-place.

Killer Instinct was awesome. I thought it was way more badass than Mortal Kombat. I mean c'mon, you can play as a raptor and make be dance as a finishing move. And I remember Glacius was such a ****.

Never really dug beat-em-ups until I found out how to do the hypercombo for Sabrewulf on Killer Instinct... I'd just rag that stick around, hammer the buttons, and guys that thought they were the **** were made to feel like they were just completely ****. Once I got out of my teens I pretty much left the arcades alone until I got a job in a mall that had one... I had a little arcade renaissance when I discovered Rival Schools (I always used the teachers though - hot school nurse with clipboard and glasses FTW), and there were a few times I'd shovel a fiver into House of the Dead and play both players at once because the two-gun-gal routine got attention
I've not been near an arcade for years now though... doubt I'd recognise one these days.

Old arcade games... ah, the memories... losing a week's allowance to Ghosts & Goblins only to never get past the 5th bloody level, feeling like a hero the first time I completed the Death Star run on Star Wars, spending obscene amounts of time playing QBert, and getting utterly sick of endlessly hearing "Wizard, your lifeforce is draining" playing Gauntlet despite the fact I was a bloody wizard and should have been killing more monsters than that lardass barbarian by virtue of being a frigging wizard! My fireball laughs at your poxy axe! Outrun, 720, Space Harrier, Splatterhouse, Prehistoric Isle... those were the days! And to really show my age, anyone else remember GORF?

It's sad. With all of the arcades dying, the traditional meaning of the word is starting to come back.

The old arcade I went to as a kid was almost unrecognizeable until around a year ago...when it closed. It was all little kiddy games mixed with a few DDR and Guitar Hero machines.
then again, that Mall died the moment they got rid of the Buy the Weigh (the candy store). After that there was no good place to sneak candy into the movies from... like a ghost town now.

When I played the arcade games, they were the only good games graphics wise. Everything else then like the Atari, Intellivision etc were pretty weak compared to them. Nowadays a pc game is just as good or better than the ones at the arcade. Shoot, I haven't even walked by and seen arcade in years.yorkj86 wrote...
