I was way behind on finding the Liara/Shadow Broker comments, for one thing, and honestly, that's probably the biggest OMG audio hidden in there.

What is that exactly? I remember reading about it a while ago that there was some unused audio that hinted at some DLC involving Liara and the Shadow Broker. Would you mind elaborating on that?

Liara and Shep go into more depth about the SB.  There are recordings posted on youtube of this.  BobyTheI may have more than this audio, but I don't know.

If Jack were a squaddie in the third game, I'd totally wish she have a bigger biotic skillset.

I stand by my suggestion way back in the thread for a reverse-charge. Jack would pull the enemy toward her at charge-speed, then punch them away into shotgun range when they reach her.

It would keep her out of the middle of the fray, since she's squishy, and still allows her to biotic punch the crap out of things. And would make her shotgun useful.

I would advocate that the reverse-charge do little to no damage and cause a short stun on the target, because having a charging Krogan suddenly in close-range is no good for anyone, let alone a squishy like Jack.

Well, they'd be knocked down on the ground for a bit the same as regular Charge causes. And I would think having it do damage like charge would help, since they might just be dead.

Someone didn't bend over for Bioware and buy the alternate appearance pack.

I take it that you didn't buy the last appearance DLC?

I did, but I've only played ME2 recently for the DLC, none of which lets me appreciate Jack's new outfit.  Loading up the game just to stare at Jack is creepy for the both of us.

Now that's a damn good idea. I think that would be more badass than regular charge. She turns them into a biotic torpedo flying towards her and then turns them back to normal right before she smacks them with a biotic punch. That would be ****ing awesome. Not only is it far more badass than regular charge, but like you said, it would keep her out of the middle of the fray so you don't have to worry about her dieing shortly after using it.

Holy ****... Damn that's some serious stuff. That must be part of the skeleton for some future Liara/Shadow Broker related DLC, just like there were bits of Kasumi dialogue before the Stolen Memories DLC.

I got the DLC.  I kinda like her clothes because it gives her a little
different look, but still seems to fit into her style somewhat.  The
shades?  I don't know, maybe it is just the design of the shades that I
am not crazy about.  Perhaps round lenses may look better.

I like thane's uniform colors and the shades seem to fit him a little better than perhaps Jack to me.

Garrus's is alright, I am glad they fixed the hole in his armor.  That radio device or whatever that is that comes around the side of his face is clunky and cheesy looking to me.  I like the blue eye lens color better than that brown shade that he has on the new outfit.

That seems to be the general consensus around here.  Personally I am not counting on it happening because it could have been material that was scrapped with some of the audio left behind like a lot of the audio in the game folders was left.  I am not saying it won't happen though, and if it does, I will not be surprised and will look forward to playing it.

I think most Liarafans hope that it doesn't get released.  It seems poorly conceived, all-around.  Most of us are traumatized by her treatment in  ME2, and Redemption #4 was just salt in the wound.

Greetings every one. So I'm back from a rough day, but it's nice to come back here.

So at first I just wanted to add, that I really enjoy talking with you guys, actually the first forum I really involve (all previous where just about reading but not responding threads).

Second I wanted to ask: What did I miss?

Damn, these last few pages are gonna make me go fire up Super Mario Bros 3 on my emulator.

It's pretty hard to tell what's going to happen to the squadmates, seeing as how the plot is already done and it seems the devs found what they were looking for in terms of the engine and combat.

They did say a late 2011 release is most likely for ME3, unless they pull a Blizzard (or god forbid Valve.) While there are so many variables concerned if some of your squadmates died, I think they can handle it...or I should say I hope they can.

On a side note, doing almost a pure renegade playthrough of ME1 hurts the soul, especially during the epilogue when Capt. Anderson said "My God Shepard" when I said I used the opportunity Sovereign gave to remove the council and put humans on top. Hearing his shock made me feel terrible...but I have to stay the most douchebag move would be to reject Jack at the Omega-4...I'm not sure I can even do that when I import it.

Well, after #4 was released, the Liara thread did light up like a guy in an Infi suit ignited by a Plasma Grenade (I  know Mondo47 will appreciate that).  For everyone else, it just means that it burned bright.

That is bull! They took all those lines out for what? What point was there for taking them out?

It would have a little more incentive to put more than just your favorite squadmates in your party.

If I had to guess I'd say that they didn't get the chance to record those lines for every character. I don't know if anybody in this thread has gone through every squad member's audio files (I hope not, for their sanity) to confirm or deny, but I can't imagine them just deciding not to use them if they were all recorded. Just because they finished Jack's doesn't mean they did for everybody, basically. I guess it would them be weird for only a few squad members to make comments.

See, they went through all this trouble to engineer a suicide mission where team members can die.  Furthermore, they programmed a seemingly endless supply of permutations within the mission itself, be it whether you didn't recruit some sqadmembers or got some squadmembers killed before you even got off the Normandy.

That's a ton of trouble to go through right there, and that's just the last forty-five minutes of the game.  Wouldn't it be easier to spread all this out through a forty hour game like they would through ME3 provided all our wishes come true?  Isn't all this silly horsecrap about the resources involved in bringing everyone back really just moot?

And even if they did decide to relegate everyone to cameos and bring in a whole new squad, what are they going to do?  Plead ignorance about the product THEY made?  "Well, we didn't KNOW everyone would figure out the algorithm on how to get people killed and how not to!  Even WE didn't know what you could have done, even though we programmed the game!"

No.  I refuse to accept that.  BioWare has made mistakes in the past, but never anything on that level.

So I feel reasonably confident that Jack will be back, if for no other reason than to please the female players who have apparently taken a shine to her as of late.

So if they drop Jack and keep Miranda in, we'll airdrop their headquarters with "You're a bunch of sexist pigs!" leaflets.

Oh, and in my efforts to make a Tzar Bomba for every other love interest that has a fan come in here putting their dirty cowboy boots on our couch (and after the sucessful construction of the Tali-Bomb and it not having to be used, like all good weapons of mass ego-deflation)... I finally have completed construction of the Miranda-Bomb. Behold!

Royce the voice of reason. You read my thoughts and write them down. I swear I do not even bother sometimes making a comment cause I know you will come in and write anyway. lol.

Question: Why do you suppose Jack is getting more popular with the ladies? (Question for everyone).

I figure she is not your typical sterotype sex-symbol, and she actually has a personality, but I'm not female so I am not %100 positive on that.
