Meanwhile, on 4chan:

"Jack: **** tier in both looks and personality. Sure she has a prettier face than Ashley but I don't know what bioware was thinking when they decided that bald with ugly prison tattoos everywhere on a skinny boy body was a good look.  Personality wise shes just as bad. A mentally unstable psychopath and total **** I didn't want her on my ship much less in my bed."

Good ol' /v/.

EDIT:  Formatting.

Oh god 4chan. I went to the video games section of that once just to check it out, and let's just say there were a lot of pictures there that had absolutely nothing to do with video games. Very, very disturbing pictures. That comment means nothing considering the source.

Anyway. About that little banter between Jack and Zaeed. I wonder if there's more to it. Maybe Zaeed is lieing and he's trying to hide something. He did say he stumbled upon a small girl a long time ago. I know we've talked about it before but I don't remember what conclusion we came to, if any.

I kind of want some conflict to arise between Jack and another crew member just because I think it would be interesting. I know Jack and Miranda have their arguements, but I want something a little more... idk, serious I guess? Like Thane getting pissed at Jack for vandalising a hanar moon, or Jack finding out Zaeed captured her a long time ago. Really I just want some damn interaction between squadmates. We're so deprived of any in ME2. At least in ME1 there were the elevator conversations. Image IPB

Why would there be video-game-related images on /v/?    /v/ hates video games.  All of them.

Hey just want to drop by and ask a question. Did anyone have Jack as a romance and then have her die as a fire team leader during the suicide mission? The reason why I am asking is because when I was looking through the sound files there is team fail file that Jack says something like "I knew I would get hit on this mission, I was too happy, too happy with you."  :crying:
I would try to find out myself but I am to much of a softy to watch Jack die.

It makes me too sad to watch it, or even hear it :crying:  I can't even watch the Jack rejection video...

And now I'm locked in a debate, the topic of which is how only submissive, white-knighting males would endure Jack's abrasive personality.

I made the guy put his foot in his mouth by making him concede that, by his line of logic, anyone who works for something is a submissive white-knight.

Ahh. Well clearly flawed logic on his behalf then.

No, his initial argument was that submissive males would like Jack because they like being walked on by women, and that white-knighting males would like Jack because they feel as if they are "saving" her from herself and from her troubles.

So I'm playing through the recruitment quest for Mordin again, and I just cleared out the first big pack of Vorcha/Krogan you come across. I have Jack and Miranda in my group. After clearing out all the baddies, Miranda makes the usual comment of "Looks like we're in Vorcha territory now." What's really interesting, though, is what Jack said right afterward. She said, "If the Vorcha don't finish off the Blue Suns then I will. They gave me trouble a while back."

Could this maybe tie into where she and Zaeed might have run into each other and why he seems familiar? It wouldn't make sense, though, because Zaeed hasn't been a Blue Sun for 20 years. Still, it makes me wonder.

He or She Can not It is something that the character must understand by herself and is not sum kind of plot narative or choice. It litterally is what happenes to women when the are forced into situationions that are not controllable. That is no joke for a game or a novel. Espeally for those that have gone through such trama. Like my sister.

I doubt those two (Jack/Zaeed) are acquainted.  I always thought she meant the Blue Suns that imprisoned her on Purgatory.

No what you don't understand is that "males" in particular including me want that women be at peace with them selves.

All males are different in what they want and what they see in a woman.  This is obvious of course, but just wanted to throw that out there.

I checked this "4chan" out a little.  Is seems to be dominated with an anime theme.  I never have had an interest in anime.  Quite a lot of abrasive posts to say the least.

I'm not arguing with you.  I'm stating the argument of the person I was arguing with.

I'm a fan of the Jack character. I think of all the romance options her's is the most profound. I do believe she will come out of her experience with Sheppard and crew all the more healthier, especially after you helped her deal with her past at the old Cerberus base. Maybe she'll never be 100% normal but considering she was tortured, otherwise abused and made into a vicious Biotic weapon since she was a child well...How normal can anyone hope she would be?

4chan is a place where angry and/or ignorant and/or dumb people go to enjoy being total ***holes to one another on the glorious anonymous internet.  4chan generates a significant portion of the stupid junk you see on the web.  4chan is treated like the super secret internet nerd club by its denizens, but it's one of the most popular websites.

Fair enough. I just hope that some women understand that not all men have animalistic intent. I understand it's only a game but I hits pretty close to home when this topic arises.

Yeah I always just figured she was refering to Purgatory. Also the Blue Suns are pretty wide spread and involved in a lot of things, so if she is refering to something other than the Purgatory, it's likely it was just some random group of Blue Suns that gave her trouble.

I agree that her romance is the most profound.  I did it my first playthrough, but have not since.  I just started up a new playthough, so I think I'll try it out again.

She will have issues that will affect her the rest of her life.  She is a fighter and although her condition may draw sympathy, it's probably the last thing that she would want from another.  I would think that dealing with her inner demons may also serve to make her a stronger individual.

The guy I'm arguing with would call you a "beta" male, or a male who takes what scraps are discarded by the "alpha" males.  These people have a conception of dating and courting and pretty much everything as a struggle over resources and the assertion of one's will.  It's capitalist theory and Darwinian evolutionary theory adapted to the dating world and it's pants-on-head dumb.  Infuriating to even hear, isn't it?

Anyway, this is all waaaay off topic.
