What I don't understand is someone's need to get into a character fan thread and bash the thread's subject when he/she wasn't a fan of said character to begin with. What do you gain from this??? A +5 sword of bashing??? Is that the prize you're going for??? Let the fans have the their thread. If you hate a character that much then start a "I hate <Character Thread>"

If you said misguided or wrong, okay, but lying? Do you actually believe that anyone who claims to like Jack is actually lying and acting in some giant conspiracy? I mean, you just lifted the word 'closeminded' to a whole other level.

That's like a religious person telling all atheists are lying about their beliefs because they don't agree with them. Not even the most closeminded ones do that.

This is about Jack, not me.  And I already explained to you why a "Not fan" of Jack would post in a jack fan thread.  Although the nature of forums suggests I don't need a reason and was simply doing you a favor.

Well yes.  Even Legion knows people lie to themselves and those around them all the time.  But the point is I have not seen anyone really support Jack in any more than a forced fanboi manner.  Other than the young lady who mentioned how neat her tats were.

Oh my feeling... yer hurting it.  Really though they made a new forum specifically because these character fan threads are clogging up the works.  They even closed the old ones several times only to have morons make new ones in the wrong forum.... AGAIN.

But yeah I see your point and raise you with my perspective.  The one where I don't need to justify myself to some random forum poster what likes boobies but is embarassed to say that so needs an elaborate story about how Jack is a deep and meaningful character.

Why bother? You are just going to make up some garbage on why my opinions are wrong. Anyway, I don't see how she is a stereotype at all. I have yet to see a tough telekinetic chick who was raised in a cell and physically tortured her whole life. I think Miranda is far more stereotypical than Jack.

I say she has a lot of depth because she is more than some violent tough girl. She has an interesting past and she does show her emotions if you talk to her a lot. She cries during the paragon sex scene because she's trying to let go of her past and let her gaurd down so that she can have a relationship with you. She has a renegade sex scene which is pretty rough, and the last thing she'd do in that scene is cry. I don't even know why I have to explain why she is tough... Have you even recruited her yet?

Being in denial about something isn't the same like judging a character in a subjective way. Claiming everyone to be in denial because you don't agree with someone about a subjective matter, is terribly closeminded. I mean, what about film critics and music critics? Do you believe there is only one true judgement? That would make choosing the best music track, best movie, most beautiful girl a pretty easy job, right?Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Legion didn't talk about that.

And if you've not read legitimate reasons for people liking her, then you've not read enough of this thread.

Also, which character in the game did you find deep? If you answer none of them, you're just expecting way to much from a video game. Bioware doesn't have the time, nor the resources to give every character the amount of depth of a living person. I suggest you stop playing (or at least stop ranting about the game not matching your ridiculous expectations) and go read some books.

Have you read the above post? She doesn't necesairly cry during sex, she doesn't during the Renegade romancing. She's crying for other reasons, isn't that clear enough? Depth is that she has a rough exterior and an emotional center, she has multiple levels, they are explained by her past, considering she's a videogame character, she's got depth enough.

Also, I see you haven't responded to about half my posts and just about all my questions for you to clarify your opinion instead of mindlessly bashing people. May I assume you can't?

Oh and to other people, I'm having fun seeing this poster use superficial arguments and flawed reasoning to make his case. I shouldn't and won't keep doing this for too long, in order not to get this deleted by mods for being out of control, but thus far, there hasn't been too much name-calling to justify that (imho).

You mean like an onion she has layers?  So that makes yer deep?  Even though her tough girl layer is stretched so thin you can see through it to the other layer that is tearing through....  I guess you just think deep means 2 very thin layers close together.  Gotchya.

Your questions aren't really worth answering because you attempt to load them to suit your perspective like you truly believe I think like you do and would fall for it...
