I hate that visor she wears with a red hot passion. So stupid. What was BioWare thinking? Jack has amazing eyes and they go and cover them up.
This. But like I said, I guess it makes sense for combat. I just hate that it covers her eyes.(which, since it couldn't be anywhere else means that I hate it in general). Still, the
outfit without the visor is great.

Anyway... I found this old picture of Jack.
Ah, the BLUR model from the FFTL 3D mini-site thinger - http://masseffect.bioware.com/fftl/
One of their modelers posted it up on cghub.com
Too bad they couldn't post the smoking hot head model they've used in Jack's FFTL CGI trailer.

I'm not a huge fan of her face in her FFTL trailer. I still like it, but I find her in-game face far more attractive.
I completely agree. The in game face is the best. It's also the most attractive female face in any video game IMO.

Bump
If there is nothing to talk about at the moment then there is no reason to keep the thread on the first page. Someone will make a relevant comment at some point. I appreciate the thought but we don't need to bump this thread. Most regulars to this thread have it bookmarked in some way so it's unecessary to keep it on the first page.

I love everything about Jack but the only thing I am no big fan of is the way her tattoos looked on the in game model. There was too much going on especially with all those different colors, you couldent really admire the art on her body. Honestly I think jacks tattoos should have stayed strictly black or shades of it. The FFTL Jack models ink looks so much cleaner and in correlation with her body that you can actually just stay there and admire them. By the way whoever posted the pic of the FFTL model picture good find.
I like all the colors of her tattoos. I'm glad they're not all black. I find her current tattoo coloring very visually appealing.

Jacks says she has tattoos for kills she made. I am going to guess those stripes running down both her arms are like tallies for memorable kills she made.
The tattoos running down her arms are believed to be a map of implants in her arms from her time in the Teltin facility.

And I agree that the tattoos are best as-is. All black would be much duller, and not as visually appealing. Only thing that would make them better is if they released higher resolution textures for those with computers that could handle them. Then we'd get to see the tattoos nice and crisp, like in that render of her.

Yeah the cgi version isn't bad. I just much, much, much prefer her in-game face.
edit: I would, but I don't have any good ones. I am thinking that the in game version of her is better too.

Someone was actually working on a PC mod to cleanup her tattoos and make them look sharper. I'm not sure how that's going.

Personally, I tend to prefer the "moments" Jack has - those fleeting glimpses of her face or catches in her voice.
Some have been mentioned herein - and being one of those people who prefer to read an entire thread, it's saved me a lot of look'n stoopid. Half the time I'd think, "Ah-ha, but there's this they haven't considered!" only to read three posts further on and get smacked with exactly what I was thinking from Royce or Bobby or Mondo.
Damned annoying.
Leaping from that digression back to my initial yap:
Those moments of Jack's - stepping off the shuttle on Pragia, her trepadacious and suspicious looks at Shepard when he's "wooing" her, and my favorite: when she's at the end of her confession about Murtock and asks Shepard if he's "ever seen her flinch", and a few moments later he steps closer and she flinches. Gets me every time.
Her confusion, her uncertainty, her outright fear - those little movements you might miss if you don't pay attention - those show a marked devotion on behalf of the writers and creators of Jack to get it right - that care makes the game worth playing - and worth the semollians I shelled out for my Collectors Edition.
Someone mentioned that Jack wasn't a psychopath, and I tend to agree - a psychopath's violence is something they spend a great deal of time cultivating and refining, and it is not simply physical violence they crave. They rarely ever look too deeply into themselves. A psychopath is shallow (movies be damned) and thinks barely past their own gratification.
Jack talks a good game, but she is never blindly violent, and despite how it may look, she never lashes out without thinking. Think about it: she didn't have to go into Teltin to destroy it. They could have just as easily rigged that explosive to detonate when dropped by an orbiting Normandy. That's the mark of someone trying to think things through, and despite her comment to the contrary, actually find answers.
My only real worry - if one could call it that - is my uneasy wavering between wondering: Did we really "romance" Jack, or did we just "save" her and make her grateful? Again, a tribute to all involved that I'd even care that much about some pretty pixels and an exceptional voice job to wonder.
Oi. Well, that's Jack for you.
All I originally intended was to simply go "Viva Jack", "Yay, this group!" and look what happens.
So... *cough*, uh... Viva Jack! Yay, this group!

Will make a point of looking out for that next time I have that conversation.
And welcome to the thread! Generally a good sign when someone's first post is that insightful. Hope you stick around=]
