So far, so good. Although, I'd agree with you, the face is a bit off. Also, I think she looks a little on the short side (the exposed forearm as well, perhaps the lack of shading isn't conveying the difference in depth or something). The pants and boots are spot on. Hope you keep at it.

Now here's the question (since I'm seeing the beginnings of some debate about Jack's height):

How tall do the folks here think Jack is?  The game is not really a good arbiter of this for the following reasons (a list that is most likely incomplete, but it's all I can think of off the top of my head):

- engine limitations tend to make most characters of the same species the same height
- mocap and the resulting animations tend to be re-used for all of the characters due to limited resources for game development, which necessitates them all being approximately the same size

Furthermore, Grunt's statement (should you bring him to Purgatory) that Jack is tiny must be examined in light of the fact that he's a honking big Krogan.  Pretty much everyone is tiny to someone like that.  Also note, as an aside, that Grunt out of cinematics is somewhat smaller than his "birthing" cinematic indicates (due to the aforementioned engine limitations).

Personally, I tend to think of Jack as being shorter than Shepard by around 4 inches, with a +/- of 2 at the outside.  I think we can all agree that she'd never be taller than Shepard, but does anyone have any reason to think that she's considerably shorter?

@Epantiras:  I am also interested in seeing it finished.  I think the concept you had when you began deserves completion.  No pressure.

Assuming Shepard is about 6'0"/183 cm...I'd put Jack around 5'9"/175 cm.

It seems to fit Jacks character for her to be the short. What Jack lacks in size she makes up for with attitude and biotics. Remeber she also wears boots so I am gonna guess she is about 5'5" (165cm).

Everyone else also wears boots/heels, and she's still very comparable. No way she's 5'5" in my opinion.

Don't sell yourself short; that's really very good. Everything except the facial expression is done very well, just tweak that to be maybe a little bit less... harsh (?) and you'll be golden. You actually got the shape of her head pretty much spot on, which judging from other fanart or Jack I've seen is difficult to do. The boots and pants are perfect, you can tell you spent time on them. 


As for how tall Jack is... I think 5' 8" or 5' 9" is a good bet. Her boots don't really look like they add that much to her height, maybe 2 inches.

I can't not take Grunt with me on Jack's recruitment mission. I did it on my very first playthrough and was so amused, it's like the highlight of the game at that point.

As for Jack's size, I tend to think of her as being small even for a female human. Like 5'4". Sure, you can point at the game and say she's as tall as Shepard, but I think that's more game mechanics than anything else. Grunt doesn't stand much taller than Shepard in the game, but when you first take him out of the tank, he's massive. Think Krogans are supposed to be 7 feet tall...

Anyway, so I go for short on Jack because I like to think of her as the antithesis of Miranda. Miranda, all perfect, refined, tall. Jack, all rough, edgy, and short.

I don't know about her height... I always thought she'd be about 5'9, 5'10. She's already the antithesis of Miranda in figure; that starved teenage boy look in comparison to Miri's va-va-voom (ish) figure... besides, they need to be similar heights so Jack could headbutt her

I forgot about the toxic waste sequence, but it sounds like your sense of humor may be similar to mine.  How about that guy that had rod stuck in the side of his neck?  

I'll tell you a really stupid movie, but I still laughed my ass off at a few scenes.  You ever seen that B movie "The Toxic Avenger"?

Edit:  I hope I am not frightening anybody reading this.

I laugh at all kinds of things I shouldn't... I made loud sarcastic comments throughout The Blair Witch Project (with a snooty art-house crowd - the looks I got for shouting "Seeya, b*tch!" at the end of it ) and Paranormal Activity, yet [REC.] kept me silent and afraid of the dark afterwards. I think I respond in an incorrect fashion to movies, particularly horror or sci-fi. I get really pulled in and loose my sense of appropriate cinemagoer. I confess, I do quite like the Toxie movies; the poverty-row special effects and sick humour are giggle-worthy, you just have to add a few beers and they trounce expensive highbrow dross like The Island or Minoroty Report or even Avatar. If a movie's bad I get sarcastic and start throwing popcorn about... I can behave worse than the obligatory crew of teenagers on the back row if I lay down a tenner to see something that turns out to be absolute crap... my pinacle being the remake of Godzilla - which I think is one of the best movies I've ever seen; the theater was empty except for me and my date... soooooo...

I saw the bit where he ate some fish upside-down from the isle and where they shot him at the end. Best movie evar

I had brought Garrus and Zaeed myself, and I was smiling when she cutscene pwnd the mechs. When I got into the first prison block and saw the sheer carnage she'd caused... I was giggling like a schoolgirl, brought up the steam menu and said to a friend who'd already played mass effect 2: "I like jack. =3"

So.... yeah. Funny thing is, I don't spend much time with grunt. Go figure.

As for Jack's size, I reckon about a B c-god I can't even finish that, sorry. I think she'd be fairly small, maybe about 5ft 7" perhaps.

I once got a standing ovation at the end of a movie... a bunch of us went to see Species 2 (oh what a mistake that was... I went to the premiere of the first Species movie and batted my eyelashes at Alfred Molina a couple of times so I thought it might have been a decent film... who knew?) and my buddy Phil and I did a crude version of MST3K's peanut gallery down at the front. When we stood up to leave at the end a dozen or so folk jumped up and applauded us. Thankfully they didn't act on my advice to burn the cinema down in retaliation for forcing us to sit through that crap to only see Natasha Henstridge naked twice.

Alas, I never saw King Kong on the big screen... not really my bag. Godzilla, I'm there in a shot, some big monkey... meh.

Size gets us back on track though... Grunt's take on anyone's height has to be taken from the perspective of how bloody huge he is. Also Jack's reputation is much, well, bigger than she is. They all walk into Purgatory expecting some man-mountain that dismembers folk with their bare hands, instead they get a scrawny, half-naked woman that dismembers folk with her bare hands... and mechs... and space stations...
