Tali has expressive body language, but someone needs to make a very good argument for me to consider her having an expressive face. A stellar argument.

Looks like a Jack vs. Liara race at the moment. Liara has her moments (her shocked "What?!" when you tease her about wanting to perform experiments on you), but I'm going to stick to my claim she is suffering from botox.

As much as Jack likes to play the tough girl role, all her emotions are on her face and body language. That's probably why she prefers to project toughness, in hopes no one ever notices the other emotions.

Well, Liara is currently in the lead, despite the fact she only seems to do "cute", "cute and somewhat bemused" and "seriously f**king creepy smile".

And Tali has more votes than Ash and Miranda... oh, love is so blind...

I know seriously, it's so rediculous. It is not a matter of opinion, it is raw fact that Jack has the best facial expressions, and is the best at conveying her emotions using just the look on her face. Tali shouldn't even be in the poll let alone have as many votes as she does. For crying out loud you can't even see her ****ing face! It's just another pole where no one really votes for the true option, they just vote for their favorite character.

And I've never considered Liara to be good at conveying her emotions through facial expressions. The only distinct facial expression I can remember from her is a pissed off look where she says she's going to stuff the Shadow Broker in a coffee cup.

Unfortunately that poll, like so many others, is a popularity contest. Jack has one of the most expressive faces, I voted for her. Liara? Not so much.

Jack is by far the most expressive face in ME.
She actually reminds me of Buster Keaton at times...

I did stop to wonder just how expressive I thought Kasumi was with what little of her face we're given. I find her to be a very expressive character, not by mannerism so much, but by tone of voice and, I really do think, face. I almost voted for her.

I could have given those voting for Liara or Miranda the benefit of the doubt. I think they're wrong, but there is expression to be found on those two faces. Especially Miranda. Just think they'd try harder to hide their emotions while, as I already said, Jack can't help but be emotional.

Kasumi certainly has an alluring quality. She also has one of the few smiles which, if a tad wonky, looks somewhat natural.
Liara had some nice moments in the original, but it struck me that she's at her best when she's miserable. Don't quote that out of context.
Miranda...Miranda still looks like a balloon animal to me.
I know she's partially modelled after Miss Strahovski; but it still screams uncanny valley to me.

Good one.  It's either the gas mask, or the morse code signal light on the helmet.  It's so hard to choose! 

And no, I don't hate Tali.

Btw, just voted for Jack and Tali is still ahead by 1 vote.  Bleh.


EDIT: If you just went by the head region, Legion is more expressive than Tali.  They really did a good job with him, imo, especially since they kept his voice acting deadpan.  Tali gets vocal shifts to work with.

Agreed on Legion's expressivity. Animating those flower petal-like things was a great touch. Almost like eyebrows.

Mondo is still far too bloody busy... might be a little while yet before I'll have anything to really, solidly show you happy folks, but I think my busybusybusy state might interest some of the local fans of strong women
