That joke never gets old ;-) hey, Bioware just asked for it! The can't write the dialogue of a romance scene as if it was a '70s porn movie and get away with it.
Speaking of "Miranda - the terrorist", she really IS a terrorist but I doubt it would sell well. Still, I wondered what the h- "the loyalist" meant when I saw her FFTL video (now I know it, of course). Good thing they didn't show those commercials in my country: that word is hard to translate in my language and, once translated, it makes even less sense than in English.

Wow nice. You should try giving Meghan Fox a widow's peak like Jack, if it's possible. Jack's widow's peak is such a significant part of her look imo.
As for Jack's title. I think "The Convict" would have been much better. But I guess it doesn't sound as sup3r k00lz as "The Psychopath."

Oooh. I know that picture is often brought up when people ask about what inspired Jack's look, but once it was used for direct reference, I couldn't figure out why it felt slightly off.Jackal904 wrote...

Back to Jack being the Convict and Miranda being the Terrorist. I would have thought Jack being depicted more as a convict would have made her cooler than going the psychopath route. I mean, crazy is cool, but crazy escaped prisoner is cooler.
Labeling Miranda as a terrorist does set itself up for controversy in this day and age, but I think there's something interesting about labeling Miranda something terrible only for someone to learn that she thinks of herself as anything but, then discovering she really isn't that terrible. Because that's what makes terrorists as scary as they are, they don't think of themselves as evil and can actually be quite nice people to talk to.
Oh man, I should just stop talking about Miranda, I think if I were in any other thread, I could have set off a ****storm over the label I gave her.

I forgot to mention that this picture is super ****ing badass. Shotty in one hand, biotic beastmodeness everywhere else
Now that I think about. Jack has got to have some decent upper body strength to handle a shotty all the time. I'm surprised she doesn't end up like this girl

QFT. As such, I'd go with the general consensus pick around these parts and say Natalie Portman.

I was also wondering, do we know how old Jack is? I'm guessing early to mid-twenties. I base this on her looks, the state of the Pragia facility, and just a general guess of how long ago the experiments on her must have taken place.

Welcome. While Bioware hasn't released anything officially, the general consensus in this thread is that Jack is in approximately the age range you've mentioned, based on information heard in the Teltin logs during her loyalty mission (e.g., the fact that in the wake of her escape, Cerberus decided to piggyback their biotics experiments onto the Alliance's Ascension Program, which gives a rough date range to use as reference.). However, it's also been discussed that she may be older or younger than that timescale might suggest, depending on her time frozen in cryo (on Purgatory, perhaps even in Teltin) and the exact nature of her birth (force-grown? natural birth? cloned?). Unfortunately, there aren't any hard and fast answers to those questions, just a lot of speculation.

I hadn't considered the cryo angle though. That's a interesting point.. That could make her chronologically as old or even older than Kaidan while still being biologically 24-27 or so.

Not to mention that Jack's lived a pretty tought life but still manages to look quite young. Hard lives don't typically lend themselves toward youthful appearances. Even if there was technology to keep her looking young, I doubt she ever had the money for it or cared even to invest in it.

I actually agree, I just hadn't heard that idea before, She looks to be in her mid-twenties but I thought she might be younger because of how hard her life has been. Plus, she's very thin,. which tends to add the illusion of age.Pacifien wrote...
Well, Kaidan comes from the first known incident of element zero exposure on humans, so it's unlikely for Jack to be older than him. My preference is to keep the uncertainty of cryo on human aging out of the equation and putting Jack at an age where the close of the Teltin facility lines up with the opening or planning stages of the Ascension Program. She says she's still a kid when she escaped, so in her mid-twenties at her oldest has been my guess.

Another great one Urdaniel. That was a great idea with Mordin's "advice"
When Shepard wasn't sure if he would or would not sacrifice Jack for an important mission, I expected Jack to get pissed off. I'm not saying it's bad that she didn't, just commenting.
It was a very relaxed and enjoyable chapter. Oh and don't feel like you are forced to maintain the pace you've had so far. Rushed work is not good work. Take as long as you need. I'll gladly wait
