We can guess what's on there though, can't we? And it might be a sweeping statement, but the user has to be a guy; decapitation and gratuitous masturbation shots? Come on, a woman would at least be a mite more subtle than that sledgehammer approach.

On behalf of my sex; I apologise.
Oh, bother. My fellow drones seem to have noticed I'm missing. Pardon me while I go and simulate a violent attraction to Jessica Alba.

No need to apologise, Grapey... what I was meaning was that I would have thought that a female Talimancer would have been a little more subtle if making the same joke. So guys, I wasn't meaning to single the male sex out as crass by virtue of being, well, male - if I gave that impression, do forgive me... and don't stop licking or I'll snap your neck like a twig.

See, crass, but stealthy ;)

And Alba? I'll stick with Olivia Wilde, thanks :P

Is there something about this game that inspires one group of people to spend more time than it takes to make real porn to create something for another group of people to look at in more time than it takes to find real porn?  Because if there is, I just can't see it.

"Waifu"s, and obsession over them.

Now, the question is; was I making a self-deprecating gag?
Or was I deliberately maligning my gender?
Maybe I was...maybe I wasn't.
Had I been involved in the music industry, I would've referred to myself as a rock ninja. For now, simply "ninja" shall have to suffice.

And Wilde works. Though I'd still say that Françoise Hardy is about as gorgeous as you can get.

Crap, miss a day on the computer and the thread takes off another 5 pages and three topics are discussed...

I don't think that Jack does a lot of planning when it comes to killing to be quite honest. She goes by her instincts, mentions it herself as to being her way to survive. Even if she were in a death match with Miranda, she wouldn't be planning moves out ahead, Miranda probably would, but Jack would go full out from the start and attempt to overwhelm her opponent. Obvious pros and cons to that strategy, but when you're the most powerful human biotic, the pros are stronger than the cons.

I'm with you Grape, just another male drone to the female queen :D /jokes

That's somewhat disturbing, actually.

I actually agree there, and you all know how hard it is for me to find anything nice to say about Miri most of the time.

Though that other Motivational of Tali double-clicking her mouse is almost as horrifying :D

Oh man I'm so glad I'm not a Talimancer. You think they can't get any creepier, and yet they someone continuously manage to one up themselves.

And I didn't mind that picture with Jack holding Miranda's head. I actually found it kind of funny . Aftering seeing all the **** I've seen on the internet, it takes a lot to disturb me.

Eh, I found it kinda distasteful - really ugly looking without proper lighting and use of shaders.

How do you know that the uploader and/or creator of that motivational is a Talimancer?  You just recognize the member?  The member may be just trying to get a rise out of them, just like the member may be trying to get a rise out of the Miranda lovers.

Well the guy has a Tali avatar, so I just assumed he was a Talimancer.

Was just curios.  It wouldn't surprise me.

First post on page 183 in the 'Motivationals' thread.

Speaking of which, how exactly are pictures like these made? Drawn or something? If so, they're pretty impressive to me (content notwithstanding).

Probably copy and pasted with Photoshop.

Most people don't usually draw their own motivational pictures anyway.

There are programs you can use to pretty much rip the 3d models from the game and export them to 3dmax and Poser - where you can edit and pose them - before mashing them all together with Photoshop.

I'm pretty sure some people were using the in-game models. Doing one from scratch is way too effing complicated and time consuming, and they sure as eff aren't drawn or painted.

I avoid the motivational thread because I want to keep my semblance of sanity. I see enough of that motivational meme on the internet without having to look for them.

That's pretty cool, regardless. I was thinking it'd take ages to do those by hand from nothing.

I have a question for you all.

What type of Shepard do you use to romance Jack? It seems, given the romance, it pigeon-holes you into playing the 'white knight on a horse' type that swoops in and saves the damsel. I don't like this, and prefer to play a Shepard that is flawed and emotionally scarred (similar to Jack, but not as bad). I was wondering if it's possible to romance Jack with this type of Shepard, a 'Byronic Hero' type, as opposed to a 'white knight' type?

That's very possible jlb, at least to my understanding. You can advance the "paragon" romance by using a mixture of paragon and renegade dialog options.

You can advance it with neutral options as well.

My worry is that the Jack romance is emotionally one-sided.  Yeah, Shepard is there for Jack as an emotional crutch, but can Jack provide the same emotional support for a troubled Shepard?

The Shep I wanted to role-play is a Colonist/Sole Survivor that is a bit reluctant to enter a relationship (given past history).  Both hate Cerberus, and could find a common ground with that, but could it develop into a deeper relationship beyond friendship?

I am not too sure if any of them can provide an emotional crutch for Shepard.

This is why fanfic exists.  This is why personal "canon" save-files exist.  This is why only you know who your Shepard is.

I think it would be difficult for her to help Shepard with his problems, there's no doubt about that, but they would be a great help to each other by just being there, the comfort that comes with close physical proximity to a person one cares about.  It won't be easy, but it will be worthwhile and rewarding.

Well, if you turn down the renegade "casual sex" option, you can then proceed with all other renegade dialogue choices and actions (including killing Aresh), and still reach the end of the "paragon romance" storyline...
