Ok, can I have this on record now as my Predictions of How By-The-Numbers Any ME Movie (Series) Will Be?

Eternally the optimist...

I´m afraid Liara will be the main partner for Shepard too... A normal human woman (Ash) is just too ordinary these days, unless she is SuperMiranda of course.

Ideal scenario: David Lynch gets the job, casts Laura Dern in every part, and turns it into a three-hour long allegory for euthanasia.

I picked a band that doesn't even exist due to my confidence in the studio system getting anything right these days...
Cynical? Moi?

Sure. Not that it isn't justified.

Although you might be surprised to know certain music studios really just consist of two or slightly more people with good sound equipment.

Now; IF this project doesn't perish in development hell (here's hoping) who would you most like to see as Jack?

Alexa Davalos, who played Kyra (who was Jack in "Pitch Black") in "The Chronicles of Riddick", just to mess with people's heads.

Definitely Olivia Wilde. With the right usage of makeup and an artificial widows peak (and a shaved head of course), she could look pretty dang similar to Jack.

Well, she might not really have the sumptuous lips of our girl, and as much as I love hearing Natalie Portman swear like a trucker... I think you all know you can count me in on this proposal already ;)

She's got the eyes. Let's see if she's got the balls to let someone shave her head.

Disagree, big time, on Olivia Wilde. She looks like a transvestite.

If that's the case; a mighty attractive transvestite.

With enough money, anything can happen .

As for Olivia's lips. I'm sure they could figure out a way to puff them up a bit. But if not, I wouldn't care. Everything else is great ^_^.

Right, so if anyone wants to be profoundly depressed right now, I have continued with my new foray into the realm of fanfiction with another sad tale of Jack. I didn't proofread it, by the way.

"Subject Five," comes Dr. Adams voice. "Will you step into the circle?"

Not certain if it's just the jaw line. Her whole face just seems off to me.

-edit. Her massive forehead probably adds to it, I guess.

Maybe it's because she isn't wearing any makeup at all?

I doubt she's not wearing any cosmetics in the above picture.

Why bother asking that when you already know what to expect in Australia?

Ah, but here we now walk the line of 'Transvestite' or 'Drag Queen'... some would say there is a distinct difference.

Don't be so down on the movie guys. Even if it does end up being a massive poop-torpedo, there are two possible routes:

1) Predict the worst, and subject yourself to a few years of dreading the final release, followed by crushing sorrow once they do release the movie and you realize they've massacred the franchise.

2) Assume the best, look forward to the movie for a few years, and then suffer a week or so of crushing sorrow once they do release the movie and you realize they've massacred the franchise.

I'll take option two, which at least involves a long period of hope and excitement. Either way, severe depression will follow.
(Yes, I realize there are other options. :bandit: )

Edit: And I really am hopeful that the movie will be good! Honest!

4) Predict the worst, forget about it all, see the first teaser trailer in two years time, facepalm a lot, see the movie, feel cheated.

But...

Know in your heart that no matter how much Hollywood may bend the franchise over a barrel and rape it like a viking horde descending on an old English coastal town, they will never take our memories away; of our Shepards (who look nothing like whatever Hollywood It-Twit they cast in the lead, sometimes with different genders and racial backgrounds) defeating the Reapers once and for all... of making the most noble of sacrifices, of fighting right down to the wire, of risking it all, and maybe surviving to ride off into the sunset with that special someone in their lives (who may well just have exceptionally short hair and a lot of body art). Whatever happens, that is ours. Always.

No movie, no matter how terrible, will ever take that away from the fanbase. Regardless of how much they might f*ck it all up... it'll be ours before it was ever theirs ^_^
