Was Jack originally going to be topless?
I'd have to agree with the proposition that the belt was a later add on.

@ Tasmen. I wondered about that too, and I even watched for such options while playing female Shepard the first time around. But now that I think about it, their characters are too aggressive to be good matches. If the female Shepard's character were made out to be a bit more "girly", then maybe... especially since Jack is so "butch". The only inconsistency I found is Jack's statement, "They helped me into their bed," (or something to that effect) when talking about a man and his girlfriend from her past, which effectively makes her bisexual.
Oh a little aggression never hurt anyone

Doesn't she tell Female Shepard to screw off if you keep talking to her? Something about not being into girls.Tasmen wrote...

She never says this, as far as I know. She just tells FemShep: 'No hard feelings, but stop pissing around I don't want to talk right now' or something to that extent.
FemShep never gets a chance to hit on Jack, so she never gets turned down by her.

I got her killed in play through 1 and will try my best to do the same in play through 2. She is a great character for what she is, but I hate her with a passion.
Heart Miranda.

1. something, something (I forget)... "but I'm not into the whole girl's club thing," and something something.
2. "Shepard. We already talked. Now you're just pissing around. No hard feelings, but I don't wanna play." Followed by, "Whatever" in response to Shepard's usual, "I should go."
Those are the last two lines in her script with female Shepard, even after a completely successful suicide mission. She cuts off any possibility of a lesbian romance option (not that there was ever any implemented).

I was prepared to hate her because she is such a b*tch at first, but she turns out to be a very compelling character as you gain her loyalty.
Also, although I am not fond of all her tattoos, she has a gorgeous face. I certainly will take a turn with her romance

She is not going to be the romance I carry into ME3, but I also feel bad blowing her off because I know how emotionally broken she is.
The thing is, though, it is kind of realistic. Her big problem is that she is absolutely unable to get close to people and care about them, and there isn't too much that is going to change that other than realising that she actually loves someone and getting close to them (aside from voluntary therapy maybe, but yeah right).

The tattoos are just fantastic, a road map of pain and suffering. And the conversations with her are just fantastic and very fun to have.
Also, I think she is very pretty. Much prettier than Miranda, I think.
Very well done, Bioware. More of this please.
Here's to hoping that she is an active part of the crew in the third game.

Mordin only says that after Jack has joined the crew.
Trust me, I've checked with all the other characters, several times, he says nothing, its only shortly after Jack joins is anything said, if I really cared, I could probably go check the gamefiles.
Actually that's not true - I spoke to Mordin this morning before I went to recruit Jack and I got this line.

Back when she was first introduced, I thought I was going to hate her, but her FFTL vid actually made me change my mind aboot her. I'm now in the middle of a Paragon Sentinel play-through and I plan to romance the heck outta her.
Also; I like her better in her alt. outfit as well, mainly 'cuz I like the colour scheme better, but also 'cuz the belt-bra just seems excessive. Just sayin'.

I never got into Jack as a romance. How soft does she get? I watched her love scene and it seems like she really breaks down. Could anyone please tell me if she treats you more kindly after her love scene?
I just finished another playthrough (paragon this time) in which I romanced Jack. After the romance scene and the suicide mission's over, she goes back to the "I wanna think about it" stage. Which kinda sucks, because, you know, it already happened.
Did I do something wrong? Did anyone else get something different?

Agreed. She's only going to open up to someone very, very close. Unlike Miranda whose just "blah blah okay lets do it in the engine room" or Tali "let me share my suit with you" (Shamelessly trying to fan some flames here)
