Did you just say that Aliens is bad movie??

Quite.
Cameron's trademark of gung-ho lingo, stochastic explosions and barren characterisation were all unnecessary additions to Scott's nigh flawless little beast of a film.

And I'm flattered by the confidence, york. Like all Jarmusch's films it's rather self-indulgent and clever; but he shows real compassion for his characters, and seldom, if ever, is anyone reduced to a mere set piece.

I'm hoping Jack still has her loyalty outfit in ME3 because I love that outfit. But I also hope that there are new outfits for everyone. It would be nice if Jack would get rid of that damn belt bra in ME3 and at least adopt the bra her CGI model wears in her FFTL trailer.

Speaking of the Blur CGI, I liked those black wrist bands. Too lazy to fetch a link, so use your immagination ;-)

I've heard on good authority that Alpha Protocol is a much more nuanced experience than either Mass Effect. Which frankly isn't a stretch in many a comparison I could make.
My hopes are up. Looking forward to trying it.

I can see that. I found KOTOR II to be far more nuanced with its characterizations than KOTOR. Well, with most of their characterizations. Couple characters were just... idiots.

I'd really like to play Alpha Protocol, but my current goal is to replace my broken/lost/turned into shrapnel ME2 discs.

It was a very Jack moment, what happened to those discs.

I want to see Jack wearing something bulkier in ME3. The DLC outfit was a good start. Something that looks vaguely military.  The armor (minus the helmet) and the fatigues the Marines wear in Aliens might look good on Jack.  Pvt. Vasquez's outfit would look good on Jack, minus the headband.

Hudson: Hey, Vasquez, have you ever been mistaken for a man?
Vasquez: No, have you?

*team initial encounter with the aliens*
Vasquez:  Let's rock!

And speaking of "Alien", I thought that this was the most riveting  and emotional scene in cinematic history.

He makes it to the docking bay where he sees Jack toss young Jimmy like a ragdoll. He can hear the crack of Jimmy's neck. All Jimmy wanted was to make enough money to send back to his momma on the farm.

I also forgot to mention the part where Jack tore out Jimmy's skull and beat him to death with it while he screamed "This doesn't seem physically possible!"

It was Jack's favorite part of the movie.

She dies too soon, but the badass girl role had already been taken by Ripley ;-9

Jack: "Shepard, take a picture of me next to this blood-stain."
Shepard: "What?  That's really morbid."
Jack: "It's the first guy I ever killed.  Just do it."
Shepard: "Alright, alright.  Smile!"

Haha, when does she make that face?  Is it when she says "Are you eyeing me up, Shepard"?

I think it is when Shepard says "tell me about you Jack", and she says "nothing to tell, why?".

Actually, I got that from the conversation after you complete her loyalty mission. When Shepard tells her he needs her functional for the mission, she says "Can't kill all that bad s*t so easily I guess, have to live with it. F*d up or not, the rest of the galaxy can deal."

She's not actually suspicious of you at that point, it just looks like it in that screen grab. =]

Ah ok, yeah I couldn't quite match your screenshot with mine.

Ha thats a funny picture. That could make for an interesting motivational. I have some ideas, but I'm too lazy to make one right now.

On a different note. I am currently watching the latest episode of Feedback from G4. Feedback is a podcast about  video games with Adam Sessler (who is a very respected video game journalist and a host of X-Play) and other writers that work at G4. Go to 13:50 and keep listening, it'll make Jackolytes happy :D. Link

Edit: Now with a link!

Edit 2: Oh and can anyone tell me what Adam's 'obscure reference' of "boys don't scream" is? I'm assuming it's some movie. Mondo, I'm counting on you. ;)

This is all very dependent upon how Bioware handles the stories of squadmates from ME1 and 2, but if they flesh out Jack's story and give us a conclusion (or hint at a conclusion) it looks more likely that out girl will be given a happy ending than a tragic one:

Well, we're not talking too much about Mass Effect 3 right now, but the second story in a trilogy is where you traditionally end up in a fairly dark place. The third story is where you try and bring some fun and lightness back into it.

I actually like the promise of a more upbeat final chapter. The franchise needs to get a sense of humour.

The second installment thought itself so painfully serious and profound I was tempted to uninstall the beast after the first four hours.

I would like to see more humor myself.  Garrus chuckles one time, and that is all of the laughing that I can think of.  Except for perhaps Grunt and Zaeed in combat.  I would like to hear some humorous dialog between Shep and other characters (also squadmates), and also between the characters(also squadmates) themselves.  I know the threat to the galaxy is sobering and it needs to be taken seriously, but some humor and laughter sprinkled in the game would be nice.

I want it between the squadmates and other characters as well, including Shepard.  Not just random conversations in the background, or over a loudspeaker.

I never found Niftu Cal and Blasto to be amusing, myself. I agree, the humor should be shared between squadmates, and it wouldn't hurt for MaleShep to show a little emotion.

Precisely. Thus far, the comedy has been a peripheral in the equation; an occasional little interjection whilst wandering the hubs.

Joker is an atrocious comic foil, and no squadmate, save our favourite girl, seems to find any given situation even remotely amusing.

ME2 is supposed to serious, they've said it's the dark chapter of the trilogy. And I thought all the humor in ME2 was great. Sure they were mostly in the form of easter eggs, but still, I found it all very funny and it definitely prevented the game from feeling too serious.
