Yeah I know, that bugs me. Imo Jack's widow's peak is a huge part of her look. Without it she looks rather... butchy.

It doesn't bug me too much because I'm already lost staring at her eyes and lips.Azint wrote...

The one character that really bugs me in those videos is Thane. They went with a very amphibian feel to his body rather than reptilian.

Really, if Jack was in your party when Al-Jilani tried to interview you, I think her reaction to the camera in your face would have been great fodder for the entertainment trash shows. And the headline would probably be about Shepard hanging out with unstable criminal psychopaths or something.
Jack would thrive on her reputation being spread. She would love it.

I just pictured some merc watching Shepard's crew on the vids, suddenly narrowing his eyes as Garrus came on screen and thinking "he looks familiar...."

That makes me wonder, what if all of Shepard's squadmates became famous after saving the galaxy from the collectors, and people keep coming up to them and asking them for their autograph. That'd be pretty funny. I wouldn't imagine many (sane) people asking Jack for her autograph though, since she would probably be more infamous than famous.
I don't know... I wonder if on the outside Jack would be hostile, but inside she'd be doing a little happy-dance that somebody thought she was awesome. And if it happened in front of Miranda, even better
I can though imagine her (when no-one was looking) handing out nice life-lessons for wee kiddies like "Someone messes with you, take 'em out", "Someone gets between you and what you want, take 'em out" and the universal favorite "Resist arrest - as often and as violently as possible"... maybe even workshops on how to make your own weapons

^ Yeah I saw that a while ago, I wonder how they did that and made them so accurate to the actual models from Mass Effect.
The wonders of Garry's Mod modeling. You may have seen the various staged pictures of Tali doing silly things, Tali, Shepard and Garrus playing in a rock band atop the Normandy, things like that. All Gary's Mod.

Or do you think that she would leave him to fend for himself?

Do you think Jack is the caregiver type? Say for example that Shep and Jack are in a relationship and Shep gets sick and runs a high fever. Do you think Jack would come and check on Shep? Maybe bring Shep some water and check his temperature. Maybe force Shep to get out of bed and take a shower.
Or do you think that she would leave him to fend for himself?
Jack would FORCE him to drink water, FORCE him to get his temperature taken, and FORCE him to take a shower.

Might be my own personal biases, but I tend to think that Jack would take care of Shep as best as she knew how (which could be good or bad), maybe even going to Dr. Chakwas for advice if she gets in over her head. But there's a very important caveat to all this: she'd do it (or try to) in such a way that other people wouldn't notice. It all goes back to some of the contradictions inherent to her character. One the one hand, she revels in her badass reputation; on the other, she has this softer side that she doesn't like exposing because she feels weakness equals target. Then you throw her relationship with Shep into the mix and it gets really complicated.
I've said before that I subscribe to the notion (advanced by others on this thread before me) that once Jack cares about something, she doesn't do it by halves. Not only that, if she accepts that Shep is for real and that he's not going away of his own accord, then she's going to do her darndnest to make sure that he doesn't go away involuntarily.
I can see her leaving him to fend for himself if Shep took the Renegade path or otherwise didn't develop a rapport (friendship or romance to the point where she lets him into her circle of trust) with her, but not otherwise.
Quick side note: Started on Day 5, but RL has been keeping me away from the story more than I like. Won't take a month to do, but maybe another week.

I think (much as a few others seem to) that Jack would almost certainly be a stealth-carer... perhaps even a tyranical and overbearing one. Illness is a funny thing; it wouldn't be like a wound, where Jack could likely judge it as fatal, non-fatal or not even worth mentioning, it'd be something she couldn't put a finger on... something she couldn't forge a concrete plan to mitigate short of making Shep swallow everything in the medicine cabinet or dragging him to the medical bay (where you then have to put something you hold dear in someone else's hands - never good when you have trust issues the way Jack does).

Of course the first thing I thought when I read that first sentence was "pregnant Jack?!"

I can picture Jack handing Shepard some soup while he's sick laying in bed, then someone walks in and she knocks the soup out of Shepard's hands and calls him a ****, then the person walks away and she's like, "Sorry about that honey. I'll go make you some more soup."

Hey, hope you guys like this - Mass Effect 2 Short Film - it's all about Jack
That was pretty good. The editing was simple and told the story well. The ending made me sad, though.
One thing I noticed is that Jack doesn't say the line that is exclusive to her death if she was being romanced at the time. That tore me out of the immersion.
Jack doesn't deserve to die, especially if she's in a romance with Shepard. It would be that final proof of her suspicions about the mechanics of the galaxy - everyone and everything is out to get her, even fate, even death.

It was just a missed opportunity. The line she says at that part, specific to romancing her, would have been much more emotional.

Yeah it was sad that she died but I thought it was done well. The whole flashback thing was a great idea. It made it much more emotional. Overall I thought it was pretty good. Too bad you can't turn off the dialogue wheel though. It would be nice for people making videos like this.
