Joker is not a bad boy. He's just really snarky. Atton, Garrus, Thane, and Zevran would be good example of bad boys. Note that their bad boy vibe is tied to their professions. Atton is a smuggler/assassin, Garrus is a vigilante, Thane is an assassin, and Zevran is an assassin. There are also women who wanted Canderous, Zaeed, and Sten. They have all have the bad boy thing going on.yorkj86 wrote...

I not talking about a Jack character re-purposed as a male. Exactly what chaos said and some of what I touched on earlier. A human LI, and preferably a bad boy hunk with a sense of humor.
Hm. Joker? Is that grasping at straws? He has the physique to be the bad boy, just...not the bone-mass (derp). I know for certain there are female ME players who find Joker to be attractive.

And I hate the word "emo." AFI is emo, no one from Mass Effect 1 or 2 is emo.
"Emo", "hipster" and "neckbeard" all apply to all of the people an individual does not like. They have lost all meaning, and refer to nothing in particular. They have no internal description.
No one in ME1 or ME2 is emo.
Actually, I think all of those people are funny. I try to be friends with them if only for the lulz.

Yes but apparently most females find neither physically attractive. And Garrus's romance consists of 2 or 3 conversations and then the romance scene before the suicide mission. ME2 needed a human male squadmate that wasn't as serious as Kaiden and Jacob. Someone with a sense of humor. Someone like Allistair. (I know I'm guna get crap for saying that /images/forum/emoticons/tongue.png)
Fair enough. However many women didn't like Kaidan or Jacob. With that in mind, I would not be surprised if the majority of women went for Garrus or Thane in ME2. I cannot say that conclusively however.
I liked Alistair. A lot of women liked him too. And as you said, it's tied in part to his humor. Humor is a huge part of his character after all. Take that away and Alistair isn't Alistair anymore.

Watch Pitch Black. Forget about its sequel. As a bonus, you'll see what was likely one of the inspirations for Jack in the movie as well.Chaos-fusion wrote...

But yeah, I have seen... Zaeed/FemShep fanfic. And Zaeed/MaleShep fanfic. There is no going back.
I also rather liked Atton Rand. Other love interests, any sort of checkered past they might have had gets glossed over and the writers concentrate on showing you only their good side. Atton Rand knows he's done bad, tells you how bad that was, and then struggles with the idea of doing good. Not to mention I like pazaak. And he had a biting sense of humor, that's always a plus.
Come to think of it, I wonder if Atton Rand is the closest I've seen to a Jack equivalent romance. But that wasn't even done by Bioware, so maybe it doesn't count.

Shame Atton didn't really have a romance. Mira didn't either. They were both interesting. Instead of Mira there was boring handmaiden and boring disciple.

Their personalities are different, but I think the themes of Jack's romance can be applied to Atton Rand. He's had the dark past and he's put barriers up to prevent anyone from getting close. Once you break past those barriers, you almost get the romance. But not quite. Because KOTOR II just had to rushed out the door. Bastards.Collider wrote...

I wonder if there will ever be a day when I finally get the KOTOR II mod that allows me to see the Atton Rand/Sion confrontation. From what I've read about it, it's almost like Jack's own death scene where she tells Shepard she wasn't supposed to care.
The Disciple... <_< Couldn't kill him fast enough in the current Hurt or Heal game in the off-topic forums.
"Well, good thing it's not a trap!"
"No, Atton! I think it is a trap!"
"Will you lighten up for one second?"
God, I was so mad when my Light Side status put me more in the Disciple's favor over Atton's. That enough should have sent me to the Dark Side.

I'm fairly certain the mod has already been released. I've downloaded it and am currently playing through the intensely boring Peragus (which hasn't been edited by the mod).
Atton tells the exile that he loved her the moment he saw her.

Alright, I'll concede that "neckbeard" has specific usage. It's used by nerds to describe other nerds that that nerd does not like. It makes neckbeards out to be the lowest form of nerd, but in the framework of nerds, it serves the same role as "hipster" and "emo". Whether or not the nerd is actually a neckbeard is immaterial - it's accusing the other nerd of being the lowest form of his subculture.
EDIT: I've been playing Plants vs. Zombies all night, and now I'm seeing the yard "grid" superimposed over the text field. Not fun.

Ooh, I like that VA. Her voice is very calm and composed, but commanding, just like Maggie Baird's voice.
I really liked her Italian VA, she made Samara sound calm, composed, commanding AND DAMN SCARY.
However, once I heard Jack's original VA, there's no turning back. Miss Taylor did an awesome job. And damn, I played Kotor, I had Juhani in my party from the moment I recruited her YET I could not recognize her voice actress!

Courtney Taylor did Juhani in KOTOR? My approval rating for Juhani went up by 1.
And I just finished playing Alpha Protocol, but Taylor is also in it VO-ing as Scarlet Lake. You can quite tell it's her, since she speaks exactly like Jack, minus the swearing. The first time I heard Scarlet in AP, I went "That's Jack?"

Italian:

WTF? And it gets worse later:

That second italian line is especially stupid. I don't like Jack blatantly saying she's following Shepard's orders. She'll say she'll help him with his mission or that she's at least got his back in a fight, nothing like, "I do whatever Shepard orders." Plus the confrontation is supposed to be about what Cerberus did to Jack, so the english version of the second line makes much more sense.

Nah, I read an article about ME translation, there's separate program for lip sync in ME, so it's not a problem. In theory.
Jack is quite good in polish version, but overall voiceacting is really bad. BioWare's games localization quality became much worse since EA PL took over.
I wonder if there's a top quality ME2 voiceacting in language other than english...
