Probably what I'd most like to see a DLC that bridges the gap is setting up what kind of overall mission Shepard is going to be doing in ME3. Most people seem to think he'll be building an army.

So basically DA:O in space?

Yeah. I really don't want to see that.

Yeah I'm concerned BioWare might go that route. I really hope they don't. They will get criticized out the ass for ME3 being like DA:O in space if most of the missions in ME3 revolve around convincing different groups and races to get together and help fight against the reapers. I'm fully expecting there to be some cutscene where we rally half the galaxy together to prepare for the reapers. I just don't want it to be like DA:O where the game is almost entirely a series of recruiting mission for huge groups.

I think my opinion of any army building in ME3 will depend on it's execution. If it's executed well and perhaps in a less transparent style than Dragon Age, then I can overlook the obvious parallels.

I don't think we need to worry about the love interests becoming cameos. People cite ME2 as evidence that they will be, but it'st that ME3 will be the last game of the trilogy and ME2 was not.

I wouldn't worry about it Collider.  They will be nice cameos.

Do you think this bridge DLC will come late, possibly next year? I would think that it would. It could help stir up excitement for the anticipation and buildup of ME3.

I'm thinking late, possibly this year.  In all honesty, I'm predicting a late April  to early June 2011 release for ME3.  EA wants to close the gap between games, plus I would be shocked--SHOCKED!--if Yvonne Strahovski isn't in the booth right now recording her lines.  She needs to get back to work on CHUCK, and if they take the time for her to finish season 4, it'll be too late.

So I heard this song called "These Walls" by Dream Theater a while ago that makes me think of Jack everytime I listen to it. All the lyrics fit perfectly with her romance and what she may be thinking throughout it all.

I posted a part of one of their songs a while back that also reminded me of Jack. But the song "These Walls" reflects her character much more accurately. It's really crazy how perfectly it fits Jack's character. It's almost like the song was made about her. Whether or not you like the song, you have to admit it fits Jack pretty damn well.

Heh, that does remind me of her. I don't really like Hole but the title track from their new album Nobody's Daughter really made me think of Jack when I first heard it.

You're right, the lyrics describe Jack perfectly.  Do you think the lyrics describe romanced-Jack, or simply helped-Jack?  I want to say romanced-Jack, but, that way, it makes it seem as if Jack needs Shepard.  Jack is very independent, though it's certain that she does best with people she can call her family.

I wonder if my tendency to hear any music as an amoebic overall harmony rather than a collection of individual instruments and vocals is somewhat rare. Because I gather when people pick out songs that remind them of certain characters, there's something in the lyrics I'm supposed to be able to discern.

But disregarding my limitations in parsing words, Dream Theater is very Jack to me. I approve.

I'm not a Hole fan, but I'm not going to disapprove. :P

Neither am I, in fact I really don't like most anything I've heard from them. That song reminded me of Jack though.

And yes, it's in the lyrics of that song for me.

Well, fine, I was going to respond with who then killed Miranda, but I guess I'm not young enough. :P

If Miranda and Jack ever did get into a fight (which they would according to what Jack says), Miranda has quite the opponent.

Definitely romanced Jack. The lyrics are too emotional and deep to reflect anything less than a romanced Jack.

I got Jack's ear doodad thing in.   Miranda's hair looks like a black mop, though.   Oh well, this is what five minutes in Photoshop at 12:50 AM looks like.

Flip the image and the Jack kitten's ear piece will be facing the right way. Ok now I'm just being nitpicky.

I put it on the ear facing me because, well, I didn't care to flip it.
