Thanks! This one I cut out from a pic in the first ten pages or so of this thread. I have a few other Jack ones as well, all but one other I took myself.

So I'd always wondered if you needed to get Jack's biotic upgrade to make sure she'd be able to hold the biotic shield, maybe because that might have actually been more interesting to throw yet more unknown elements into the mix, but anyway... you don't need to get her upgrade. She'll hold the biotic shield so long as she's loyal.

Which incidentally ruined a perfectly good "Everyone Left Behind" personal achievement because I had to upgrade the armor and make her loyal in order to test the theory. Since it turns out she'll hold the shield, that gave yet another missed opportunity to send someone to their doom.

She lived, by the way. So did Samara.

You used Jack as the fireteam leader and no one died? I thought Jack died everytime if you pick her as the fireteam leader.

If you pick her as the fire team leader the first time, the tech in the vents will die. But if you pick her as the fire team leader the second time, she'll die and it's very sad and Shepard can't go on with the mission as he cries "Why?! Why must the universe be so cruel?!" The other squadmates keep trying to pull him away from the lifeless body of Jack, but he just won't budge, so they try to continue on with the mission, but it's fail all the way.

Never pick Jack to be your fire team leader.

I thought it was when she says "Yes sir! Commander sir!" but I couldn't get it to match exactly. Next guess was "You don't have to agree so fast, you ***" but I didn't have a recording of that to check.

Edit: img517.imageshack.us/f/jackw.png/ was as close as I could get with the yes sir line.

It's the renegade "Deal with it" option when you talk to Jack after her loyalty mission. You tell her it doesn't affect the mission, she says "Yes sir, commander sir!" jokingly, and then half-thanks you for helping her.
