Okay. What about the rest of what I said? Do you think that the feel of the world the characters live in is somehow stifled by the lack of diversity of cultural things, like music?
I think on one level yes, but on another level, that it's really hard to create musical and artistic movements out of whole cloth, especially when they're represented visually and heard. I think print media avoid some of that difficulty, but film, or a video game, which tries to be like film in a lot of ways, just has problems. If Bioware were to try, it might come off as a half-measure, or worse, too similar to already existing human culture. On the off chance it did work, the world would feel VERY lived-in and whole.
EDIT: So I guess I agree with you that the electronic music is a fair substitute.
