Speaking of the new demo/repricing thing, here I was thinking EA was doing that because, I dunno, gonna actually show something at E3 today. Shows what I know. Their Wii workout knockoff and console port of a twelve month old PC game were clearly too important.

Yeah, the only things that really piqued my interest was Dead Space and AC: Brotherhood. The rest of E3's press conferences were sort meh (though I did miss the Microsoft one). I think it's too early to announce anything for Mass Effect 3 anyway, seeing as ME2 just came out a few months ago. I'd rather Bioware take their time than rush.

Just a bit of conjecture (it might be a bit of a rant, too, I can't really say) here, on the gay/bi thing for Jack...

How possible is it, do y'all think that any sexual experiences Jack has had with women (and there is nothing certainly to say she hasn't), that they, like the Renegade sex with MShep, wasn't simply a way of getting them to frell off?  It works for guys, why not for interested women? 

Sex is, after all, just a tool for Jack.  It's not something she engages in, it's something she does.  It's a means to an end, and she's alluded to that readily enough, I think.

Does that make her bi?  No.  Does it have to?  It just makes her emminently practical.  To Jack, sex is a weapon.  It's part of her arsenal.  Males, females, who cares?  If it gets her what she wants, all the better.  Gender is irrelevant.  (Why with MShep and not FShep in that Renegade choice?  Maybe she figured women aren't as quick on the trigger with their hormones, and decided against it.  She choose a different tack with FShep.  Who knows?)

Intimacy, however, is a horse of a completely different colour.

Is Jack irrevocably straight?  Who cares?
Is Jack bi?  Who cares?
Is Jack gay?  Who cares?

Why does anyone care except the people involved?  Gays can legally get married in Canada.  Canada yet exists.  Marriages of straights have not been sundered by that simple fact.  No crops have withered.  No divine wrath was seen in the sky.  Churchyards yawned not, nor did the sheeted dead gibber in the streets. 

Jack can be bi and have a preference for men.  Why the hell not? So she's not gay.  Who cares?  If you do care, why do you care?  Why aren't people yapping about FShep and Garrus?  Or Thane?  Or MShep and Tali?  There are idiots out there that would  yell 'bestiality!', yet no one seems to really give all that much of a ****e - it's more personality there.

But b!tching she's not gay or bi or even slanted subliminally that way?  That's a tad of self-entitlement, I think.

Personally, all I care about was that she was a cool, well-realized character and I really could give less of a damn about who she was/will be shagging.  I'll choose her regardless, and enjoy it.

Apologies for length.  Maybe it was just a vent, and neither rant nor conjecture....

You didn't miss much with the Microsoft one. Other than the 360 slim, nothing was even remotely shattering. 75 of those 90 minutes was talking up Kinect. Y'know, I thought "Project Natal" was about the dumbest thing you could call a piece of hardware. Lo and behold, I was proven wrong. It's less "E3" this year, and more "The 2010 I-Don't-Give-A-Sh*t Olympics." Oh look, SWTOR took home the Gold in the Twenty Meter Attempt to Revive a Dead Franchise. That's just ducky.



I just thought that's what the ME thing was that's supposed to be coming out in Q1 '11. Just watch it be another worthless iPhone game that no one cares about. Or an RTS, which is the gaming equivalent of playing with Micro Machines.



Wow. I'm actually cattier than Joan Rivers at this point. I'm sorry, and shall close on some genuine positivity. Yes, axl, I don't see how anyone wouldn't like that picture, let alone Courtenay Taylor.

Oh that is awesome. It makes me happy when Jack gets attention . And I think that guy meant the recruiting mission. I don't think they would have people play a mission that gets you closer to a character that you don't even know.

And Jack's face on the demo download button looks so awesome. I wonder if they made that picture specifically for the demo button, or if they took it from an older picture.

Yes, it's the recruiting mission, I've just read it on RPG Watch.
BTW oooops! I forgot to comment about Axl's new pic! It's great, but after watching it for a while I noticed that the left part of her jaw looks "sharper" than the right one. I'm sure that if you flip the image horizontally you'll notice that too.

So, I just finished Overlord not to long ago, and let me just say... wow. The ending was... disturbing. I won't spoil anything for those that have yet to play it, but I was little disappointed that your squadmates were silent the entire time (of course, getting 12 people to come back and record minuscule lines is probably more expensive than it's worth).

I had Jack in my party, and I'm pretty sure she would have the most to say about a situation like that. Yeesh. Ingame-wise, It seemed way to close to home for her to be so silent.

(In hindsight, I probably should have waited a day or two before posting this, as alot of people might not have played it yet. Feel free to ignore my ramblings.)
