No. I understand his arguement but it is shallow to think that she should grow her hair out just because she found a man.

I still don't think I'd really go for it - I'd kind of prefer they just update those two again, give them a real "followed you down this long road and been changed by it" feel, and she's got a nicely shaped head - but I can see where they might if she's a prominent part of the ME3 experience.

And what could he acheive when writing a character he actually likes?
Maybe I should give up licking drells, it causes videogame paranoia :-P

I was wondering, how's it possible that Jack's writer really hates her? Is he proud of his work at least? How could he make such a majestic work if he hated her? I can't wrap my head around that.

Patrick Weekes didn't write Jack. Someone posted a comment of his a few pages back where Weekes says that he couldn't write a character like Jack because he's not good at writing emotional stuff. He's good at one liners and humor.

It's got to be said, writing emotional stuff is hard. It's all walking a fine line; go too far and it turns into soap opera, don't go far enough and the audience can't reach it to care about it. If you can make them feel it though, you win in spades. I personally find humour harder - it's a lot more personal, I think. We can all relate to sadness, but we won't all laugh at the same jokes.

Yeah emotional stuff is definitely hard to write, I'm not bashing him for not being very good at it. Everyone has their strengths and weaknesses. And his strength is one liners and humor, which there is nothing wrong with that. I'm sure we can thank him for a lot of the funny moments in the game.
Speaking of writing. You working on anything Mondo? I remember you talking about writing something soon. Just curious
Edit: In DA:O the experienced human voice is definitely Zaeed's VA. Thought I'd share that with you guys

@ Barrendall: Wouldn't that be a little too expensive for something they'd wind up giving away free on some website? The thing with DA:O is that it's easily moddable. ME2, on the other hand, doesn't look like it came out in 2004.
I think the best thing we can hope for are "loyalty-redux" missions that they'll sell in threes for about ten bucks a pop, in which the second squaddie will stay pretty much silent. It's low-pressure for BW as they can space out getting the VAs back in the booth at different times. Plus it's a win-win for them, as they can craft a mission for one of the hugely popular characters like Miranda, Tali or Garrus, and they can piggyback missions for some of the more underappreciated squaddies like Grunt, Samara and Jack. The cults for those characters can grow and the revenue for character specific merchandise grows with it.
At least that's how I'd do it. Because we have to face facts. A lot more people will shell out seven bucks for a Tali mission than they would for Jack.
Apologies for the late reply; You're probably right Royce. I myself have no clue as to the costs and the technical difficulties in developing such a thing as a web-series and I would be just as happy for dlc missions to fill up my time.

I never thought a bald, tatooed, frail young girl with a shotgun as big as her waist could look so intimidating. In the ME dictionary, if you look up the word "lethality" you will see a picture of Subject Zero. I'm just glad she is on my side

Yeah that is a really badass picture. She's got this look on her face like she's ready to kick some ass, you can see a lot of her tattoos, and she's holding a shotgun. Awesome

Are those squaddies you're personal favorites out of the series so far?

And yes, they're my personal favorites, though I'd be happy to see in ME3 also Garrus, Tali and Miranda (yes, even Tali).
