just started ME2, playing me imported femshep at the moment but Jack is definitely the reason I can't wait to play through Me1 again with a male shep :) That girl is a BEAST and my first choice squadmate ever since i got her out of prison. :)

Welcome J4N3, if you love Jack as much as we do, you're in the right place.

Just an update: I got an answer back from one of Ms. Taylor's representatives saying that it's okay for me to e-mail Courtenay.

Indeed, thats pretty cool. Brandon Keener, actually talks to his fanbase on facebook. Some of his fangirls in the Garrus thread have posted up screencaps. He also seems pretty cool with them, even adopted a fan made banner on his facebook page.

Would be Nice if Liz did such things....Anyway best of luck getting a response!

Well, first I have to hear back from her if it's okay to ask the questions.  Then the real anticipation comes.

Cue Dr. Frankenfurter.

That'd be cool, but I wouldn't be surprised if she avoids such things because of the more... rabid fans. I know I would.

Yay! I hope we don't come across as too creepy for asking these question. I don't think we will, but still... :?

From some of the things she's said in her tweets, I think she might just be a little bit of a stealth-geek herself... if not for games, then something else.

Yeah I can't help worry about that too. But I don't think she will. She's done a lot of voices in video games so she's probably used to it by now, and maybe even like it. On her website it says "Please feel free to drop an email to Courtenay by clicking here: [link to her email address]" So if she's that welcoming to emails from random people, then I'm sure she won't mind if some fans of a character she voiced, asked her some questions.

Dolmheon just (err... 2 weeks) posted a wallpaper-sized version of his awesome Jack fanart which was posted a while back, if anybody wants to use it:

This one, for reference:

You know I don't really like fanart that takes the characters out of their context so to speak (Jack would never pose like that) but in this case I have to make an exception. This is a truly riveting piece. Its a half-silhouette half-sculpture like creation that just got everything right :)

What about incongruous humor that puts characters in OOC situations?  For example, the comic of Jack in the women's clothing store, admiring the **** out of that pink-with-sunflowers sundress.

I'm not sure to which comic you are referring. But certainly if an artist draws something in a comedic frame of mind I would appreciate the light-heartedness of it. Whereas if the art is supposed to represent a character in not only likeness but affect then I would expect it to be appropriate in that sense as well. When it doesn't incorporate the true essence of the character, it is sort of like taking its soul out to me, and I cannot appreciate it as much. However, do not be alarmed, I'm told I do have a somewhat crass sense of humor at times too :)
