If you have a save after the mission right? Load it up, break up with any other LI you have talk to Jack and start up that one and complete it. The first time I beat the game I did each Li back to back with my mainshep.

Uhuh, well it looks like we have a virgrin Jack fan here. One must experience the "renegade thrust" from within the game, to be a true Jack fan.drunken pyromaniac wrote...

You know, I still haven't done that scene yet. I feel too much like a douchebag whenever I think about it.

You think Jack is Blur's masterpiece of the ME2 character cgi videos right? What character comes in 2nd place in quality to you?

Seriously though, it always bugged me. I can't just go and confirm all her preconceptions about people after already romancing her and learning her story!
God, I'm a pansy.

You mean distant second place? Grunt. Blur did great with the facial animation in that one, it was the meat and potatoes of that trailer.

since this is a fan thread... I'm assuming its worth it? She seems the most realistic of the options for sheploo anyways

You're asking a biased bunch of people, but of course the romance is worth it. The smile on Jack's face at the very end of the final romance scene makes the whole thing worthwhile.

Different romances appeal to different people for different reasons, however, so you'll probably have to decide for yourself if it's worth it or not.

The renegade thrust only makes it that much more enjoyable, and enriches you're playing experience and immersion. I am certain that york and pyro agree with this.
Just make sure you save right beforehand, so you can reload and continue to pursue the paragon relationship.

Yep... they needed to match manshep's facial expressions to Meer's voice acting (emotionless).

Remember that idiot that you get to kill or spare in the Teltin facility, during Jack's loyalty mission? If you were as unfortunate as me and did not have enough renegade points to persuade Jack to kill him (and did not have the heart to do the renegade interruption and kill him yourself) do you think we'll meet him again in ME3? Or we'll get some e-mail? Or will he build an army of biotic children to take over the world?

While it removes room for development along that line, I think it's more poigniant that Aresh goes out with the bomb. The facility had taken away almost all of what made him him, so without it there's little to him. It's only fitting he earns some peace. It's fatalistic, I know, but Jack finds her peace on the Normandy, Aresh finds his when the facility is erased along with him.
Are you sayig that Aresh was killed by the explosion, aren't you? Even if it would be realistic if he did so, it means that the choice of letting Jack kill him or not is pointless. Ok, deciding not to kill him may make things different for Jack's character developement, but in the end Aresh dies no matter what.

Also he may have made it out before the nuke, like dominus said if Rana can make it, he could make it.

Posté 27 juin 2010 - 03:40
Or if he really wanted to die in the blast, he could just hide somewhere else when Jack told him to get out of there.
I'd be disappointed if there's a followup with Aresh in the third game if you let him go. Some stories just don't need a followup like that.
