Technically speaking it's not white per say. More of a light beige.

I'm sorry, are you saying this thread lacks intellectual discussion because it's not your group? Racist.

I can't even have a cookie, people ruin it for me cuz I gots the schizophrenia. They take away my cookie. Nobody loves me. Nobody.

I probably woulda dribbled brain leakage onto the cookie anyway and tried to dab it up while sobbing.

Oh, I see. White is nothing but cheap trash.

I think I can go on for too long with this. As if I hadn't gone on too long already.

Bubbles! Bubbles! The more I touch them, the more they pop!

Normally I would then counter with a terrific insight into Jack's character, as if that makes the previously inane posts acceptable, but I have no terrific insights into Jack's character. Other than I can see her being contrary and defensive about every sentence spoken just for kicks as well.

The most racist squadmate is Tali.... she hates the Geth even when it is revealed that the Geth (Legion) are on Shepard's side.

Before Legion, no one knew that the Geth were peaceful. As far as anyone knew, the Geth were killer robots who hated organics - and attempted to take over the Citadel. The Geth aren't comparable to organic races, as the Geth operate differently and have little to no sense of individuality.

Tali was willing to cooperate with Legion and even help the Geth out. Which isn't hatred.

I'm sorry, the most racist squadmate is Jacob 'cause he hates assassins and wants to space Legion. And he's black.

Now I'm simply going to Hell.

Take her on Legions loyalty mission... see what she says at the beginning.

The geth aren't comparable to individualistic organic races. Hive minds are a different matter.

The persuasive power of Shepard will heal all. This reminds me of a related yet real world situation similar to the geth/quarian conflict that I won't mention here because all mentions of real world concepts eventually lead to Godwin's Law.

But if you really want to get into Tali/geth relations, I suggest Collider's group. Or, heh... nevermind. Collider's group.

I already have.

Somewhat. There is still the fact that the Geth are essentially intentionally written programs.

It's true however - there is a parallel between the Geth and the Collectors to some degree - especially in the way of the fact that the Reapers engineered them in a particular way.

Still not quite the same however - as an example, the innate ability of Geth to have something similar to a collective consciousness (though not exactly to the same degree). The Geth can be controlled by hubs and can be programmed through viruses. There is, again, somewhat of a parallel between indoctrination and rewriting, but the former still isn't the same.

So far as we aware (and what is most likely), the Collectors have no splinter groups as the Geth have, either. So there is no (to our knowledge) any Collectors out there who are peaceful and just not showing their face.

You're all wrong.

EDI is the racist. She has a racist blog. She tap tap taps away at it at night, giggling with other AI about how durr durr stupid the organics are.

Yes. but Legion even admits that the geth observe the sentient races. They are studying us to copy us. They're design is already similar to Tali's people. They were created by the quarians. They rebelled. Soon, they will evolve. They will look -and feel- quarian. Some will be programed to believe they are quarians. There will be many copies. And they will have a plan. :bandit:

Yep, it's definatley to sleep when you start quoting Battlestar Galactica. 'Night all.

When Jack points out the smear on her wall and says that's where she killed her first man, do you think she meant the first guard trying to stop her while she was on her escape, or a completely different time altogether? Because I can imagine the gunked encrusted machine that was Teltin facility actually having the Cerberus Work-Related Death sign somewhere. "We have gone 3 days without a Subject Zero related death."

I think it means adult.  She talks about being given drugs to feel good when she fought other kids.  I'm sure she killed some of them.

I think it was the guard who tried to stop her escaping.

She said they shocked the kids when they resisted fighting the other children. I wouldn't be surprised if they had something like permanent shock collars on the kids to keep that kind of thing from happening.

Default Shepard's name shouldn't be John... it should be Simon because whatever Simon Shepard says everyone does.

I actually wasn't referring to the Collectors when I meant looking at hive minds. Mordin says the Collectors have been diminished to the point where they lack soul. One of the very first memories Legion can access is of a geth asking if it has a soul.

However, there are other hive minds likely in existence in the Mass Effect universe. The rachni would be one. I wouldn't even compare the geth to an organic hive mind, though if comparisons had to be made to a biologically evolved civilization, hive mind is better than individual mind for the comparison. Geth are a machine mind, one that I place on an equal level to an organic mind. And I can go on and on about them and before you know, I'm talking Matrioshka Brains and technological singularities. Then the other people in the Jack thread will stare at me and wonder what the **** I'm on about.

She never directly answers Shepard's query about it when they're discussing her fights around the makeshift arena. But then Jack also seems a bit confused that the facility would have a morgue. I think the repression is strong with that one.

Reminds me of Shepard asking Thane about killing his first man at age six and he corrects her that he was twelve. Only it's Jack saying she killed her first man at twelve when really she was six.

I can imagine Jack's rather prominent scar on her neck was some back alley surgical job to remove an implanted shock collar device.

I missed the "why do you people reload" discussion because I was offline...

In ME2, I *really* reloaded only to make Grunt survive the Suicide Mission. He died on my first playthrough, but when he did so I played until the end AND THEN I reloaded and played again: I wanted to see where my mistakes would lead me.

In ME1 instead, I reloaded A LOT because of that magnificent thing called "dialogue wheel". I'm gald that in ME2 it's easier to guess what Shepard's going to say...
