Do you think that Jack is as powerful or more powerful than Samara?

Would it be so much a question of power as of experience?  To be strong is one thing, but to be strong and smart is something else entirely

Samara does have more than a few years on Jack.

As the most powerful human biotic, she's supposed to equal or exceed Gillian Anderson's abilities, but we never get to use any of the cool stuff outside of cutscenes :(   Shockwave is underwhelming at best.

Completely agree with you, York.  How cool would it have been to be able to use that ``Ymir punch`` of Jack`s on a Scion or two - or against a Praetorian?  Would`ve made a few battles a little less hazardous.  And it would have looked seriously cool to boot.

The way I  see it, if the player can manuever Jack's curious AI close enough to the YMIR Mech/Praetorian, without getting her killed, the player deserves to be able to use Jack's cutscene powers on it.

Wikis aren't a reliable source for information.  Not enough control, and they can be manipulated to match one's own opinion, rather than unbiased facts.  Try turning in a paper using a wiki as a source.

As far as the official site being inconsistent, I am not surprised.  We have inconsitencies between lore, codex, and what is spoken of in the game, not to mention the wiki.

I always put wiki, google, and yahoo as my three sources. Works like a charm.

I wonder if the ME wiki still says Legion is a stronger defender than Garrus even though I proved otherwise with testing. I think whenever someone changes it to be right, someone keeps changing it back because the incomplete Game Informer guide didn't know there was a difference.

I dislike discussions about what is or is not canon. The rage that would develop when I would get into an argument with a Star Wars fan when they'd base their argument on what was written in the books I never read. The levels of acceptable canon on what trumps what. Movie > Book > Game > Comics or somesuch.

I remember when fans pointed out to George R. R. Martin the inconsistencies in his Song of Ice and Fire series and his reply was an honest "Whoops." And that's just with one writer working on the lore. Imagine the dozens who work on ME's lore.

I though Avina said something about it... I'll check.  As for the wiki... I never pay attention to that because of all the innacuracies in that thing.

Ah.  I don`t consult Avina much at all.  I figure the wiki is as accurate as any fan speculation on pretty much anything in the game, so what they hey...  ;)

Couldn't find it... so I defer to the codex.... it was a deterent.

Krogan scientist. Heh. Never knew a krogan scientist worthy of the term.

Dr. Okeer seemed a bit in line with Maelon. Mordin didn't have much respect for either, I think.

Hey, who'd win in a fight: Wrex or Jack? Biotic shotgun wielding rage machines.

Star Trek has about 6-10 different timelines.  Quite a few inconsistencies there as well.

Only Shepard could beat Wrex... Wrex may not be able to hold the biotic shield... but Wrex can kill everyone around him.  Wrex had the most defenses in ME1.  I think he had more than Shepard.  Extra health, shields, barrier.... he was a beast.

Update: At lvl 60
Wrex - 650 health with acces to immunity (80% Damage Protection) and barrier (1000 points of bonus shielding) which brings him to a total of 1650 when barrier is active.
Ashley - 662 health with access to immunity (80% Damage Protection).
Soldier Shepard - 795 health with access to immunity (80% Damage Protection).

The only tougher character in game is Soldier Shepard with barrier as a bonus power.  It is no wonder he took down a Thresher Maw.

Though I think I should add it'd never come to that - Wrex would probably like Jack too much to even bother with that fight other than for pure sparring. I somehow think they'd have a certain respect for each other.

Uhm, looks like the drama is over. I can safely crawl out from my hiding place now.

If you could choose a new power for Jack in ME3, what would it be? (except her powerful cutscene PUNCH OF DOOM)

Some special type of Barrier.  Does Improved AI count as a squad power?    If it does, it shouldn't

I was going to ask if you could then change the entry about the suicide mission that confuses Legion with Garrus, but screw that. Someone can take Garrus and Grunt to the final battle and wonder why Mordin died when the wiki told them Legion was so great at defending.

The developers definitely need to improve the AI in regards to the shotguns. Whoever has a shotgun equipped prioritizes getting to shotgun distance with the enemy before self preservation.

His defensive score at lvl 60 is 1650 with barriers active compared to Soldier Shepard  at 795 (the only way to beat his defensive score is to give Soldier shepard barrier).

I don't know, maybe replace Warp Ammo with some sort of unique chargesque ability.

I like him as a character as well.  He's a good buddy, and seems to have a bit of kindness under that ferocious Krogan shell of his.

True, I was surprised to see him greet Shepard as an old friend... those are things that newbies to the ME franchise can't understand (that's why default ME2 Shepard has killed Wrex imo)
