To be blunt and honest, I'd be too distracted by Jack-in-a-Catholic-schoolgirl-outfit to notice that her outfit might be out-of-place.

Just the kinda thing to tempt Shepard into slipping his hands under her top.
More designs to come.

Wow great job! Now that is a dress I could see Jack wearing. The heels not so much, but it would be funny seeing her try to walk in them .

Ha oh man that would be quite a sight.

This got me thinking; I would love for some undercover mission in ME3 like Kasumi's, but you have to bring a date, just to see Jack wear some outfit you wouldn't expect to see her wear in a million years.

Nice artwork as always, axl.

Somewhat related to the topic at hand, here was an interesting thought made in the Tali thread: (which yes, does love Jack):

On marrying Shepard:

Jack... actually I really think Jack would go for it, especially if you pursued the paragon romance path. I don't see her in a white dress holding a bouquet, but I could see her smiling over a wedding certificate in some courthouse (or 2185 equivalent) waiting room. I think if she and (paragon) Shepard were together for a while, Jack would be open and appreciative of something normal.

What do you think of this?

Realistically speaking, I do not see weddings for any love interest in ME3 whatsoever. However, speaking character wise, if Shepard and Jack had been together for a while, would you think Jack would go for marriage? Would there be reluctance? Would she think it would be ridiculous?

According a poster in the Tali thread, some of the Jack posters here think that Jack would try normalcy if paragon romanced. Is that a consensus here? Would normalcy for her also include marriage? Would your Shepard be interested in that?

Here also some thoughts about Jack being a mother from the Tali thread. I think the take-no-crap mother would make her children as tough and strong as she is, as was suggested in the link provided, seems to make the most sense. But what do you think?

I've thought about something close to the certificate idea, and I would be fine with some thing like that.
Not saying that I want something like that to happen though... But no kids!.Image IPB

I think the only LIs who'd get married are Jacob and Liara. Maybe Kaidan/Ashley as long as Shepard is no longer an Alliance soldier (because of that no-fraternization stuff). While human/asari relationships might be strange, sure they are more common than quarian- or turian/human couples, therefore I doubt they'll find someone who signs their marriage certificate. Miranda puts duty above personal life and Jack's too unconventional to marry, period.
And my dear Thane is going to die anyway... so f*ck you and thanks for all the fish.

EDIT: typo

Not sure if Thane is really going to die. There is a bit of hinting in the discussion with him towards a possible cure made the Hanar. Or something that prolongs his life.

I do not see him dying any sooner than at the end of the game, at least.

Wow, you all got busy while I was sleeping! Muchos catchee upee time.

1) Axl, sensational work there, can't wait to see that finished... it's now what I imagine Jack wearing when she met Hannah for the first time and was shooting for the 'good impression'. First thing she'd have done when the firsts started flying was kick those heels off though

2) Jack dressed as a Catholic schoolgirl? Johnny, please, keep your fantasies out of this thread :D

3) Jack and the M-word... to be honest, I think she'd not see the point in it. Some words, a piece of paper, some people standing about in a room to look happy for them? Nah, what the two of them felt would be enough. That's the real part of marriage - what two people feel for one another. The rest? Artifice. She'd probably take some convincing, she might do it for Shepard's sake, but I think she'd wonder at the point of it all (and the so-called permenance of it... Jack's not one to trust that concept easily - people leave Jack one way or another).

It's like the kids thing - I'm not entirely sure she can have them (and if she could, she'd have to be aware that with the probable amount of Ezo hammered into her system to boost her, her children would almost certainly be biotic, and at least in her thoughts exploitable by others). I doubt they'd be planned for, and if it did happen, I think Jack would run the gamut of fear, denial, anger, etc. until there actually was a baby there in her arms. Then oh, the change you would see... seen it in reality, so I can see it in Jack too. If it's possible.

But marriage? Nah, I can't see her buying into it when she already has what she wants.

The prospect of having a child I think would certainly scare the sh!t out of Jack, but I think that tends to be a normal reaction for those who never saw motherhood in their future plans. As for what kind of mother she'd be? An interesting one. :)

I think Jack would be good with children, though. Certainly, if you wanted to head out for the evening and actually trusted Jack with your demon spawn, they'd be absolutely passed out from exhaustion when you returned. The fun never stops with Aunt Jack around.

As for marriage, I might be projecting my own feelings on the matter onto Jack, but what's the point really?

Also, Jack in high heels would be a laugh. She doesn't strike me as the graceful sort to start with, and there is a certain level of grace one needs to pull off the high heels. I can see the *clomp*clomp* of someone desperately trying to keep their balance on high heels when they have never worn them before.

Jack's definitely a secular-marriage-at-town-hall-by-the-mayor-alright-we-got-this-stupid-piece-of-paper-now-let's-go-drinking kind of gal.

EDIT: But wait!  I distinctly remember the Jackolytes resolving not to ruminate about what Jack's marriage would be like, because of the process' creepiness-factor.  What happened?

In response to one of the posters, it's not a given that someone continues the cycle of how they were raised with their own children. A very real reaction that people will have when they have their own children is a drive not to repeat the mistakes of their own upbringing with their own children. However, some psychological elements tend to rear their ugly head without their even knowing. What horror there is when someone points out for the first time that you have done something exactly like your mother.

'Course, Jack doesn't remember her mother. Teltin was mother and father, the abusive sort.

I know one person who was adamant that his child not be raised as he was. He essentially had to raise himself because it was just him and his mother with his mother working long hours just to get rent and food on the table. He swore he would never neglect his own child and was there for every basketball game and lay down the strict rules. I've seen the opposite as well.

I think we promised not to draw pictures of wedding dresses - rumination on possibilites are fine unless they span over a couple of thousand pages.

Oh, wait... :D

John Shepard (my Shepard who I almost name Default) would talk her into marriage.  And as we know whatever Simon Shepard says... everyone does.  Besides... I'm sure she would like Hannah enough to become part of the family.

I was browsing for some Grunt fanart, but came across a couple Jack images on DA.

The following is not a band that I think suits Jack, but I was listening to Radio Paradise as I've been writing posts in the Jack thread, and suddenly felt it was appropriate:
Mumford and Sons - White Blank Page

If the song isn't to your liking to listen to it, the lyrics are here.

I started with Google Images actually which eventually led me to DA. There were some other steps and thought processes going on. I can't explain how my brain works, okay?

Greetings Jackobites. I'm not a poster on this thread, though I will say that I like the Jack character for the most part. I have a question for you die-hard fans, which may have been answered earlier in the thread, but I'd like your input anyway. In other threads it has been discussed that Jack should be expanded so that she is available as a love interest for female Shepards. Do you all agree that this is an acceptable expansion of the character, or would a bisexual Jack somehow ruin the character for you?

Oh god not this again. I don't want to sound like a jerk, but this topic has been debated many times, and it usually doesn't end nice.

But anyway, hello and welcome! :D And the actual term is "Jackolytes", but "Jackobites" is... interesting.

Fair enough, I figured the topic must have come up before. Was there any sort of consensus, or pretty evenly split for and against?

The consensus was that it wouldn't hurt her character if it was done competently. The rest of the debate was heated, at best, with many opinions being represented.

Strongly leaning toward against, but there's definitely not a consensus. I am a dissenting viewpoint who thinks a bisexual Jack is perfectly fine.

I think I manage a decent explanation as to why others disagree with me when I answered your question in the Thane thread, though. *Click*
