Jack: Damn, Shepard... you need to do somethin' about this bed! I've slept on softer cots in the joint...

Shep: What do you want me to do? Put a requisition order in with Miranda?

Jack: Oh, she'll love that... or... we could just break it in...

Jack smiles at Shepard suggestively.

Shep: Ok... sounds like a plan.

Shepard almost has his shirt off before he hears Jack furiously stomping his bed.

Jack: Quit f*cking around and help - I think it's giving over here!

My expectations, they've been dashed!

Man, thanks for turning me into the Clitoris... Just be confident - chicks dig confidence, dude!

The image of a 2-story tall clitoris could not be avoided :?:P

And some chicks don't dig confidence, no matter how funny and sure of yourself you are, they want you to be innocent and shy just like them. Quite unfortunate.

lol damnit, mine's not as good. Aww what the hell:

Paragon Shepard: "We just got off of Tuchenka and I just washed the sheets!"
Jack: "Doesn't Mess Sergeant Gardner clean your sh!t up?"
P-Shepard: "I don't trust him to use the right detergent among other things"
Jack: "Sh!t you're a ****" *Jack starts scuffing mud all over his bed*
P-Shepard: "What are you doing!?!"
Jack: "Breaking you out of your pathetic self-inflicted stupor of cleanliness"
P-Shepard: "Noooo!" *tackles Jack to hold her down*

Ok I'm sorry about that, that's really how I am in real life and that's how I imagine Jack reacting :P

I coulda sworn you were the one that posted it like 200 pages ago. Was the first time I checked out the thread and it was that exact look that sorta hit the nail on the head as far as "dayum Jack is HAWT!".

Even her scowl is sexy.

I...did not notice she has a scratch on her lip...I mean, she should, all things considered. Perfect teeth and all :P

Funny, Alistair and Zevvy are the ones all quirky and humorous, but Sten made me lol the most. And to romance him  would require a great deal of character change for Sten. Unless he kept his conversations short and monotonous even in romance, which would be hilarious :P

There's the difference; Zev was amusing, kinda charming at times, and if you don't mind your men a little on the fey side, reasonably attractive. Alistair was about as amusing as catching the hantavirus, whined endlessly, and because of that he could have looked like Kurt Russell and I'd still not have touched his lamppost without the influence of all the ale in Orzammar.

Oh, and Zev came along with Leliana when I went to The Pearl. And yes, I went for the obvious guy-in-drag too. Kinky is usually good. Kinky with Alistair would have been him calling you Duncan... <_<

I don't know if I will ever get DA or not. I'll wait for the price to drop if I do though. After talking to quite a few people, I'm not sure if I would enjoy it or not.

Bioware:

Step 1) Insult JRPGs
Step 2) Create JRPG (DA2)

I'm no fan of DA, I'm no fan of JRPGs, either, and I'm certainly no fan of hypocrisy.

I have a love/hate relationship with DA. Part of me likes spending hours into gearing up everyone with appropriate equipment, talking to NPCs, searching areas for loot and putting the valuable points into the right skills, and part of me hates spending so much time on it because it feels like it takes forever to finish a (main) quest, accomplish something. Plus you got to dig the fantasy style a little bit of course.

I'm glad that Mass Effect wasn't 'that much of an RPG', if that's the right way to say it. ME2 could have done with a bit more squad member powers and even some customizable gear for your squad too, though.

Good gracious, you are being funny and totally serious at the same time

You know what I find interesting about The Pearl, Leliana pretty much hates Zev, tells him she'd sleep with him once everyone in Ferelden is dead.....BUT......lol

And I found Al to be quite funny, especially his banter with Morrigan and Leliana. Telling Shale to attack him, bloody hilarious! I can see how he'd just be like a bro and not a LI though. It'd be really easy to get in a romance with Oghren, too lol "You got any sauce for that rump roast?"

Ok..off topic...attempting to relate...

It's not ME, but it's Bioware, know what I mean? They put a lot of effort into it, and there is SO much to do.

The truth is there is no Jack. There's nobody like Jack. I'd be insulted if they tried to make a Jack-esque squaddie in DA:O, so I'm ok with it, and it is my favorite game outside of ME1 and ME2. When I've run my ME2 disc into the dust and am looking for something different but the same, I'll play DA:O.

Even without Jack and nearly completely different gameplay, I feel disconcerted that ME fans haven't divulged in it, because it's simply a quality game despite not-so-great-graphics. Mods and DLC are pretty spectacular, too.

Understandable. I'll reserve judgement of DA2 until more is revealed. The hypocrisy is definitely there, though.

I really really like DA:O, though, it's so hard for me to read that Bioware fans simply don't like it. Again, I didn't really like it my 1st playthrough, but that magical 2nd PT was just like my magical 2nd ME1 PT.

Honestly, I wouldn't. I loved it when it came out, and I find it unutterably boring now.

Yeah, I'm not seeing it either.  From the screenshots I've seen, I've spotted no Ho Yay, unseemly hair models, androgyny or GIANT F---ING CHICKENS!

Bioware criticizes JRPGs for being linear, for having pre-set protagonists, for having boring combat, for being unimaginative, all of that.  Then, they release information that DA2 will have a set protagonist, and will be borrowing elements from ME2, which some people criticize as being far too sprase and linear in its design and storytelling.

Is that really all it takes for a game to be considered a JRPG? lol I spose giant chickens do narrow it down a bit :D

Well the game was just announced. People who have never even played the game are already condemning the game as being far too linear when they know relatively nothing.
At this point in time, it seems far too early to call DA2 similar to JRPGs unless one also thinks that ME2 was similar to JRPGs. One of the core elements of "WRPGs" are choices that influence the plot and customize your character. That seemes to have been upheld rather than taken away.

@Royce: yea, you'll seldom ever have some burly guy with a beard as a main protagonist in a JRPGs. It's usually younger protagonists of almost ambiguous gender, it seems.
