Yeah, it is a little hard to imagine... I think Samara would be a little too aloof or critical of Jack's attitude,actions or past to make much of an impression that Jack wouldn't be tempted to mock or just plain ignore. I think the whole giving-one-another-space thing makes sense.

Now I doubt whether anyone remembers me but I used to post in this thread every once in a while - that is, until real life intervened and I had to take a bit of a break. Still, I'm back... at least for now. The Jack thread keeps pulling me back.



/also I haven't had time to catch up, so I would greatly appreciate it if someone could summarize this thread's last two months or so in five sentences or less

But, now I've read it, I've got to say I like it. I liked Grunt's attitude towards biotics particularly ("magic"), very suitable for krogan. I'd like to see more too!

I did not notice the post initially either. It's a good thing you brought it back up Mondo because I really liked it. That was really good ElectricZ. The dialogue was great, the fighting scene was awesome, but it ended right when I so wanted to see what would happen next. I really hope you continue with this because I'm really interested to see what happens next. Great job!

Edit: Oh wow I didn't realize that there were 3 chapters. Woot!

You know, I love taking Jack with me on missions because she has the BEST combat dialogue in game ("Hello, dead people" - priceless) but I always feel a bit weird bringing her with me on missions, too.

Jack does not seem like the "operative" type to me. Almost every other character does, at least a little bit. I can't say she's the kind of person I'd think of first in real life if I were selecting teammates for an operation.

When I am on a mission with Jack, I expect to turn and see her leaning up against a wall, looking around, bored. Like she doesn't really belong there and has no particular interest being there.

Me too. It's such a perfect combination because they are so different from eachother. Jack is very pecimistic and Kasumi is very optimistic. Great job Mondo .

I remember you Booglarize . I'm not sure how to summarize hundreds of pages in a few sentences though .

I missed about 2 months worth of posting myself, and as of yet, haven't caught up on it...

However, I can imagine that the topics discussed probably included Jack's sexual preference and/or history, the meaning of her tattoos, how she was acquired/created, what she would do "if...", and so forth. Probably a lot of fan fiction and art of dubious quality, too!

poor Ashley... I think I'm going to do a "cheating" playthrough and cheat on Ash or Liara. If it is Liara then I'll romance Miranda and if it is Ash then I'll romance Jack.

I don't think she'd really be bored on some of those missions. She likes the fight, she likes that rush it gives her. I particularly see her diving into a fight when there's another biotic involved, a display of her superiority in using biotics.

Before their loyalty missions are complete, both Grunt and Jack express disinterest in the Collector threat, both saying their only purpose is combat. Afterwards, Grunt finds a worthy foe and Jack discovers some threats go beyond a good fight.

If the mission required complex strategy, Jack's not the first one I think to bring, though if you ask her about how she managed to take over a space station, she does indicate she's up to the task. However, a lot of missions aren't so much about complex strategy as they are about shooting the second you walk in the door. That's a good Jack mission.

Jack is an all powerful biotic b*tch. Jack has trust issues. Shepard helps Jack overcome trust issues. Jack is not a bisexual though people debate whether or not she should have been. Jack does not need longer hair.

That's five sentences. What I miss?

I was thinking one reason Jack likes to have her hair buzzed is because she tended to live in squalid conditions most of her life. If it wasn't something like lice, she probably had issues with matted and greasy hair at other times. I'd certainly shave the hair all off in that situation.

Miri's chat was during the relationship, this is before. I can see where you're coming from though. Jack wasn't really asking for a chat here, with the Miranda one, she's actually asking Madam Frosty's advice. I mean, Jack was going to shoot Kasumi there, and later she goes to ask Miranda's advice. She's changing, slowly. I'm hoping that once I stop writing these babies I can juggle them into chronological order and chart this stormy sea that is Jack and Shepard... have a whole screenplay's worth... call it the Romance Pack maybe

I'm gonna rest for a little while now... I want to finish off that big 3-part Tali & Femme-Shep lesbian fantasy of mine *ahem*
