That would be a very interesting situation. I'm assuming Jack would speak english, I know that's not very creative but oh well. It would be funny if none of your alien crewmates could understand eachother and they'd all have to make weird gestures to try and communicate. But one thing I've always wondered is why doesn't "siha" and "boshtet" not get translated. I'm assuming 'siha' is 'girlfriend', and 'boshtet' is obviously 'b*tch'.

Nice fic. I hope you continue with it. It would be interesting to read a fanfic that includes Jack's reaction to the Overlord mission. I have yet to see a fanfic about it.

Well, ****. Goes to show just how *completely* out of it I've been today that I even forgot that I started the day by writing the fic. The day probably would have gone better if I had simply stuck to working on it instead of... anything else I did.

No idea why, but reminds me of my father who can say "beer" and "where's the bathroom" in thirty languages. Though he says the word "beer" is universal enough. As is pissing on the wall outside the bar.

I always have assumed that English would keep the role it has now as a sort of lingua franca of humanity. This isn't that far in the future after all. I could definitely see Jack as knowing how to curse in several languages though.
