Morinth only has one unique line in the Collectors base.... otherwise it is just Samara. Even if she dies... it is still Samara. That is quite the thespian.

"Alright, we'll take the shuttle to Vulcan Station. Then Tali, you head on over to Prometheus."

"I'm afraid it won't be that simple, Commander Shepard," Dr. Archer interjected. "Vulcan Station is our geothermal plant, constructed deep within the local volcano system. You will have to access it through a series of cave systems."

"So the shuttle is a no go," Shepard confirmed. "Looks like we're going with the Hammerhead."

"Surely there are other methods of reaching the base, Commander," Miranda mentioned with an almost pleading quality to her tone. "Dr. Archer, where are your transport vehicles?"

"The VI took control of any systems connected to the network, Operative Lawson. That includes the docked vehicles."

Miranda let out a sigh as she looked back at Shepard. He gave her that infuriating look that he used whenever the mission took an unexpected turn.

"Guess we're going with the Hammerhead," he said with a cheeky grin.

Someone would have to deliver the Hammerhead from the Normandy. And when it came to the Hammerhead, there was always one eager volunteer looking to drive the hovercraft. It was not going to be a smooth ride to Vulcan Station.

So pretty much forget about Warp Ammo and go with the area effects?
Get level 1 pull first (which requires you to get level 2 shockwave), then get Primal Adept (level 4 Subject Zero), then get pull field, then put any remaining points in either shockwave or warp ammo.

Actually if I remember correctly, Jack has the most conversations on the Normandy than any other squadmate.
I heard Miranda had the most due to how early you got her, but I'll certainly be pleased if you're right.

Well not counting conversations in the briefing room and stuff like that, just conversations where you have to walk to their station and choose to talk to them.

Sounds good, I usually go for health > weapon damage, and soldier covers the ammo powers I need. Makes things more simple

Very interesting. All my conversations with her seemed rather short, I wonder just how much I missed due to "making other stops" :pinched:

That picture is so awesome, I feel like it's my own birthday. :wizard:

Indeed it is awesome, I love the fist pump she's doing.

Yup, we all self medicate B)

The flying headless mech is a nice touch, and that background/explosion is just beautiful (ripples look like snowflakes), but mainly, the centerpiece Jack looks so accurate and lively. The enthusiasm is contageous!

Great screens, Mondo, and don't be stingy, now ;)

Wow, incredible job with that drawing. Very badass and I love the caption Image IPB. That's got to be my favorite drawing of Jack you've done.

If Jack doesn't have that line, then I suppose all the lines were scrapped.

Well there are two times where she can be the fire team leader. Maybe it depends on which one?

Oh yeah, so I guess if you refuse to give Jack the Cerberus files, she gets a hold of them anyway? And Shepard gets all mad cuz she made him look like a moron?
Sounds like a great start to my paragon playthrough :P

Well, she can only die at one of them. Someone who has romanced Jack will have to take one for the team and kill her on the suicide mission so we can confirm if she has the line or not.

Not sure what happens if you choose to lie about it to convince her to get off Purgatory, but I did give her the delay tactic during the greeting. Went down to see her, and she had gotten the files anyway. Don't remember if Shepard's response was feeling like a moron.

Cerberus must have crappy security. So not surprised.

It's pointless, s/he says the same lines to her either way.

Well I prefer to do a mix of neutral and paragon dialogue choices when talking to Jack. All the renegade options make you seem like an **** imo, except the one where she tells you she's going to get revenge on a bunch of people after your mission, and I tell her I won't let her go on a killing spree. I don't know why it's a renegade option, it seems more like something a paragon would say. You'd think a renegade would support her veangence.

Before ME2 got seperated into 2 discs, I believe you had the choice to not hack the terminal to release Jack and all the prisoners. And you probably also had the option to never give Jack the Cerberus files. But because BioWare had to stick ME2 onto 2 discs, you have to release her from cryo, and you have to give her the files.

So hilarious. We're going to kill Jack so we can hear her love being professed. What have we been reduced to? lol

Weird, I know I'm gunna wing it, not having paragon/renegade in mind, but it's interesting to hear other people's stories. Do you try to act tough to keep up with Jack's badassery? Or do you go nice-guy/girl? The former is how I compensate, but it's so fake :P

There's a difference between lying to get her off Purgatory, and doing a delay tactic? You mean in the debriefing room? Must...play....again...

And I heard Shepard gets angry that she got the files, like "wtf I said you couldn't have them".

Wait, did you romance Jack and not get the unique line when she died at the door? I was under the impression she was the only romanceable squadmate whose dialogue remained at that scene

Well, here I was, standing right next to Jack, flowers in one hand, handkerchief in the other, all prepared to hear the confession... But nope)) No line what so ever.

the only reason I actually decided to let her die. Either not worth it, or I have a bug with this specific line (which is less likely).

I actually do like the line she has when she does die, romance or not. There's something that just makes me very sad to hear her say "I wasn't supposed to care." :(

ETA: And if people have seen me on many other threads, they'd know just how difficult it is to make me sad!

In the audio file registry, there are three versions of Jack's dying words.

First, two variations on the standard "Not supposed to care" bit.

Here's one.
Here's another.

Then there's the more personal one, which I cannot say whether it appears in the game or not. (Since I've never allowed our favourite gal to croak)

Warning: May induce clouded vision, respiratory problems and an overall downtrodden disposition.

Oh my.... guess it was only good I didn't hear the too-happy line in the game... I'm afraid Shepard would just hang himself the next moment... If I didn't take the rope first, that is... Damn, I was sure my affection for Jack couldn't get any stronger))

@Axl - buttkicking pic, very well done indeed.

PART TWO of "Intermezzo" is up, for those who were being so kind as to read it.

Again, as always, feedback would be appreciated.

hehe, Samara should be used to being ogled, and I think Jack hasn't had much to look at in cryo ^_^...Renegade Thrust anyone ? :o ...oh my...forgive my imagination. Its not my fault Bioware doesn't write strong men as well as they do women :)
