Oh dear, we can't have all this melancholy!

Please, have a listen to this instead. It'll cheer you up.

It goes great with this picture.

Can't help it. You know it's actually a bit ironic, those that like Jack a lot might never hear those lines, but still understand her character more, than the haters (and failures) who will hear it and still say she's an unfeeling b!tch.

It's ok, Goat, they don't matter.

Please, have a listen to this instead. It'll cheer you up.

See, now that's a line I will actually hear in-game, so I won't listen. Thanks for those files, though, LG, as painful as it was to hear. My respect for Ms. Taylor as a VA and Jack as a character has risen.

And that eye...must see in-game.

I take pride in how long it takes me to set up the perfect Shepard for each scenario. For Jack, I must now restart from ME1 with a new outlook on the universe :innocent:

Kiss the girl already! ^_^

Well I prefer to do a mix of neutral and paragon dialogue choices when talking to Jack. All the renegade options
make you seem like an **** imo, except the one where she tells you she's going to get revenge on a bunch of people after your mission, and I tell her I won't let her go on a killing spree. I don't know why it's a renegade option, it seems more like something a paragon would say. You'd think a renegade would support her veangence.

Weird, I know I'm gunna wing it, not having paragon/renegade in mind, but it's interesting to hear other people's stories. Do you try to act tough to keep up with Jack's badassery? Or do you go nice-guy/girl? The former is how I compensate, but it's so fake :P

I don't necessarily try to make Shepard seem tough, I just try not to make him look like a p*ssy when he talks to Jack. I still have him act compassionate and caring, but without him coming off as Mr. Goody-Two-Shoes, and many of the neutral dialogue options accomplish that. She doesn't like it if you are overly nice too, although you can still paragon romance her by picking all paragon dialogue options.

My Shepard is generally an ****. I keep him like that during the ME 2 playthrough as a way of saying "This is how Shepard reacts to the whole 'two years, and everyone's intentionally ignorant again'." Thing.

So I mostly choose renegade options. But I switch between neutral and paragon, too. Whichever is appropriate with the conversation.

Although saying "How many batarians did you kill for that one?" might not really be appropriate. Not in that situation, no.

He's already off on his assessment of Grunt and Jacob. It's like "I couldn't figure out how to be a badass as an Adept. Thus, Adepts suck." You know how that always goes.

I could say "Jack kicked ass when I played an Engineer," he'll say prove it, I'll say "my XBox is at the repair shop you UNFEELING JACKASS!"

<_<

Hehe. Jackass. Get it? Get it? Ah, it's probably censored somehow.

no... they only censor words that are derogatory about sexuality.... or racism.... or sex. ass isn't censored.

Here is a link showing the usefullness of Jack... which you should know since you are the strategy guide expert on the forums.

I just got the "girl's club" line from Jack on one of my Sheps... and well, I think I'm re-assessing that statement. Sure, her equaiting your interest as potential romantic attraction/an attempt to make her more like the other women on board is a bit disheartening, but I think we all missed the important bit of the dialogue.

"I'm not a 'girl's club' kinda person. I like you, Shepard. That's a good place to leave it."

An admission of actually, honestly, liking you. From Jack. You can take heart in the fact you obviously made an impression ^_^

completely off-topic... but I've decided, after hearing what Cerberus and TIM are like in the latest book... that the crew gets turned into Reaper paste in every playthrough from here on out.

Ouch. What's this mean if she tells a male Shepard she's not a really a girls' club kinda gal and they should leave it at that?

It's basically the last conversation with Jack when you're a female Shepard. It was one of the better conclusions to the dialogue chains, I thought. That's why I felt a female Shepard had almost as much an impact on Jack's life as a Shepard that romances her.

Dammit, I've had that book sitting on the counter waiting for me to sit down and bloody read it since it came out.

Why? I don't want you to spoil it, because I haven't read the book yet. Just curious as to your reasoning.

No threesomes?  Nah seriously, I guess that was dumb question I asked.

In the main narrative, they have the same impact, I think.  Romance or not, it doesn't matter, I don't think.  The romances are somewhat of a separate entity.  If that makes any sense.

feel spoiled. I was all going into the book thinking the Illusive Man would come out smelling of roses after [spoiler redacted].

But seriously, Cerberus's true colors were readily apparent if you read the second book, too.

Then there's the more personal one, which I cannot say whether it appears in the game or not. (Since I've never allowed our favourite gal to croak)

Warning: May induce clouded vision, respiratory problems and an overall downtrodden disposition.

Crap that was bittersweet, on one hand, it made me feel terrible. On the other hand, that seemed like a happy last moment with her admiting that.
