Then meeting some disillusioned soul from BAaT who provides her with her own biotic training outside of Teltin before she eventually meets up with Shepard.
Like Yoda?
Wait, where was I? Oh yeah, so I used to think Jack could have been as young as 12 when she escaped, but instead I'm thinking she was more like 15. Old enough to have been given the maximum amount of training from Teltin that she could then use to teach herself from that point on and still become an incredibly powerful biotic soldier. Because what the latest book showed me is that it wasn't enough to have the implants and potential for power, you have to train hard to match that potential. And if I think Jack hadn't been around any other human biotics after Teltin, her best years of biotic training were at Teltin. Everything she learned after Teltin were all the other skills she needed to know to survive.
It just bewilders me to imagine a 15 year old Jack escaping that hell. Looking at the facility, you can tell a long time has passed, but I figured it was in the 3-5 year range, not 10. I mean how much training can you accomplish between whatever age she started and 15? I don't really want to think about it lol
Scary thoughts, altogether. It seems pretty obvious Jack had biotics beforehand, likely a great deal of it. There has to be some reason why Jack was so important, and how she could handle so much power. Or was she only considered invaluable after the tests started? Maybe early exposure shows that she coped with it far better than anyone else, telling TIM that Jack's potential was higher as well, so instantly she became "the prize"?

Actually, as a neat little addendum to what I was saying about squad members getting their order swapped, I'm
currently in Illium, with Miranda and Jack (off to do Miri's loyalty mission). Drinking the Mystery Drink in the bar just made Miranda and Jack swap places. Curiouser and curiouser...
lol I've always just downed the mystery drink and turned around and left, not even looking at Aethyta. This next playthrough will be quite grand, especially since I never took Jack on Miranda's loyalty mission either.
About the suicide mission fall-and-grab, it is indeed the 2nd squadmate, but I hear there are multiple factors that come into play. Basically, choose Jack as the 2nd squadmate, don't have them fall in combat, don't reload any saves, and you can fight through antique stores but only if they're classy.

This would make Jack older than she appears.
Fade: Appearances can be deceiving.
You are indeed right. I'm not factoring Miranda at all, but humans in general live longer and healthier in the future, no? So I would say "judging by the roundness of Jack's face, specifically her cheekbones and jawline, she looks 25", but in this modern universe, who knows. I do think based on her personality that I'm not far off. Miranda being as childish as she was with her snide remarks, she still got under Jack's skin. Not saying I wouldn't have done the same if she called me a mistake, but the use of the word "cheerleader" and her smiling "we're gunna be friends" always made me laugh. Made me think "yeah, she's angry, but there's still a little girl in there using highschool insults." Jack
is a punk, so maybe I'm misreading. And personality traits doesn't imply how old you are, because Miranda is 35 and does NOT act her age, so it isn't that so much as their maturity, which age does factor.
Fogive the ignorance of this post.
That's got to go in my sig :innocent:
