[Don't mind me, just looking for attention.]

Anywho; any devoted modder out there who managed to remove the shades on Jack's DLC outfit yet?

Ah! I just noticed that you even depicted the scar just above Jack's upper lip, in your picture.

There has been too much picture spam recently. Why don't we discuss stuff instead.

There's nothing left to discuss. Honestly, all the character threads should probably be closed down.

Well, unless someone's already discussed that Toombs/Jack theory I posted, a while back...?

Well, we can all migrate over to the Tali thread.  It stays pretty busy.

It does feel a little darker in here, doesn't it?

I have no idea. *shrugs*
I think we should discuss Jack's sexuality, that always makes people around here so happy and friendly. /sarcasmImage IPB

There's a person in another thread whose justification for wanting to get Jack killed is that she doesn't like her.   She then goes on to call Jack a psychopath.  Ironyyyyy!

I don't know. It's not like we haven't ever had slow phases before. Things always manage to pick back up.

Well, if Toombs were to attempt to kill Shepard on sight, then I think Jack would kill him without hesitation. But if she knew his story though, she might try to reconcile with him by telling him her story, and how she's been able to deal with it.

I'd be more interested in seeing someone from Jack's past appear randomly. Like some pirate or criminal that Jack used to run with, someone she doesn't like and doesn't want to be associated with anymore. Or maybe someone that was done wrong by Jack, or by someone Jack hung out with at the time. Like some young girl recognizing Jack as the person who kidnapped her and others when she stole that passenger ship. I'd kill for a confrontation like that because it would just be so interesting to see play out.

Are you telling me that it's crazy to kill everyone you dislike? Pffft, don't be silly. [/sarcasm]

Everytime somebody calls Jack a psychopath I die a little inside. Some mental disorders, sure, but full-blown psychopathy? *rage* People don't even know what a psychopath is it seems.Image IPB

Like a lot of the members here on the forum, that member probably doesn't know what he/she is talking about.  Quite a bit of them don't have a lick of sense either.

I can see where it comes from though.  Bioware does label her as "psychopath".  That's how they portray her outside of the game.  She is labeled that on the main site, and also the FFTL interactive video.  Not sure where else, if any, she has that label.

Yeah, I can't help but think those you say Jack is a psycho, are a bit sheltered.

Funny, JD, funny.

Shepard: What's this area of the forum?

EDI:
This is the original main Jack support thread. It is an area where fans of Subject Zero can collaborate and post stories, pictures, and other media about Jack.

----------------------

To me, the threads are far more than support threads. The actually support is an indirect result of the sharing of thoughts and media. After 6 months, every base will have been touched a few times for those diehard fans, but there are always newcomers asking the obvious questions (like me). It's up to the knowledgeable to inform, because there are always closed or ignorant minded people that are somehow (consequently?) very opinionated, or just curious.

So the cycle goes: You observe, you share, you learn, you contribute, you blow someone's mind, you get bored, and then revel in the serenity of your favorite character, both from the game, and from FF. Like a long and happy marriage, it will lose it's excitement after a time, but the genuine happiness you get from it isn't lost with the initial enthusiasm. That's why these games will always be priceless, and will last a really long time for me anyway.

As for Jack, she's a person that grows on you. I look at the initial reaction to Subject Zero, and I look at the first dozen pages of this thread, and I wonder if even half of those people spewing hate feel the same now. They only matter in that they present an opportunity for debate and explanation, so that even if the hater is pushed into denial, a neutral party may read and learn something.

Right now my little sister is playing ME1 for the first time and is in love with Garrus. I showed her my desktop with Mondo's Jack screenie and all she said was "I can't wait to beat this so I can do the next game, the characters look so interesting." The reaction was surprising cuz she's 15 years old lol

And that's my cool story for the day. Now back to the virtual world.

Isn't it Bioware's fault for calling her that? Idk if she fits the definition because she doesn't appear outwardly normal :D

Jack also feels regret, guilt, lonliness, compassion, for all her actions. But she's hiding it, so that she doesn't appear weak, so she and anyone she cares about won't get hurt, no?

She is manipulative, but that's the mark of a survivalist, of just about every smart person in the middle of the 22nd century.

What is the worst thing, is that Jack is thought of as too angry, too whiney, too bent on revenge, on Cerberus, just an all-around b!tch. When the truth is that all things considered, Jack exercises the greatest amount of resolve save for maybe Shepard. I'd like to see Miranda go through what Jack did and see if she doesn't come out with tourettes spewing gibberish rocking back and forth in the corner hugging her knees.

That or they watch way too many crime shows. I swear, the amount of times I've heard every damn criminal being called  psychopath on Law and Order for instance. Ugh.

True, it is their fault. That won't stop me complaining about stupidity though.Image IPB
All those emotions are the very thing that proves she can't be a psychopath. Psychopaths can't feel most emotions, they're broken for life as far as I know.
I agree, Jack is remarkably normal for what she's gne through. Most anyone else would be dead or nuts from all that.

Yet Miranda is the only ME2 LI who is Shepard's "mental equal" because of Tali and Jack's insecurities. A tad hypocritical, since when you consider all things, Miri is the most insecure because she has far less of a reason to be. Yes, she has a reason, but it's....simpler.

In fact, I think I'm gunna be in awe at Jack's resolve this next playthrough. I didn't quite grasp the magnitude of Teltin before, and I still thought she was way too calm.

It was scary.
